Lovely family run British cafe. It's the place to go for your typical British breakfast with your fry up, beans, bacon rolls and porridge. All with friendly service and good value for money.
My favourite cafe in London
Mario's is an institute serving everything you would expect to find in a conventional cafe and more if you look through the specials for his mum's recipes. It may be narrow in width but not in its scope of breakfast foods.I remember visiting with my parents as a kid and always taking back a thick rocky road like cake but the name escapes me now and Mario doesn't sell them anymore which is a real personal loss.
Iconic hipster, muso cafe. Local caf that can make pretty much anything you want. Independently owned, have espresso machine for lattes etc.
Amazing value. Good location. The owner is a sweet person. Great variety of food. The only "downside" is that the place is not so big, so get there soon and save your seat. Other than that, it's always a treat to be there.
Wonderful meal. My husband requested a special omlette and he was more than happy to oblige. I had the veggie lasagna and it tasted just like mine and homemade. Delicious! Prices were great and portions were large.
One of Kentish towns iconic spots , Still owned and run by Mario so always a warm and friendly welcome ,good range on the menu but because of his personal touch Mario is happy to create for you on the fly ,great coffee and atmosphere in this little gem still closed mon, tues since lockdowns but Id be the size of a house if i could come here every day! Oh and if youre feeling musical theres always a guitar in the corner!
Delicious meal, with warm panetone and marmelade ( and some wonderful chips). A warm place after wandering around Camden. Mario is very nice.
Iconic London brunch cafe. Sits on a cute street, owner Mario is lovely, hard worker. Perfect for locals and out of Towner a to check out. Great music and vibe.
Stumbled upon Marios by chance and what a find.
Fantastic vibe, great food, good prices
Mario is a delight and the cafe was full of local people.
I will certainly be back soon

Mario's Cafe is an institution. The food is excellent, a mix of British breakfast and Italian staples. The ingredients are good quality and the dishes well made.
Mario himself is the best thing about the place, a friendly, helpful, cheery man who goes out of his way to accommodate everyone who comes through the door. Do you want any extras with your meal? No problem! It's as if you are a guest in his home.
There are regular customers, unsurprising given the atmosphere, and around breakfast/brunch time it can get fairly busy. If you manage to get in though it is absolutely worth it. Places like this make a mockery of the "unfriendly London" stereotypes.
Wonderful atmosphere, really friendly and Mario is actively hospitable. Coffee was really high quality too. Amazing to learn of it's history too.
