This place is perfect. Cozy, relax and simple. I just arrived in London and went there for a drink. The staff was very kind, they had good choice of beer and the pizza was excellent!
Very good pizza, very cosy environment and affordable beer. Would be nice to have some music or TV for football games, but they are great at what they do.
A very enjoyable Roast Chicken Dinner washed down with Ace of Spades Porter a very nice end to an interesting Bank Holiday Sunday afternoon.
A real ale pub which suits hubby. Good atmosphere. The only thing i would change is more comfortable seating. Those benches made my legs numb after a while
Excellent Milton Brewery beers. Very friendly staff. Great pub
Best pizza around ... and many other lovely foods to try... Good beer too.
We came to eat (and drink) at the Pembury Tavern today, having seen good reviews on Trip Advisor. So glad we did - the food was fantastic, and the wheat beer went down a treat! Many thanks, and I hope we can come again some time to try the pizzas.
awesome pizza and great beer selection! dog friendly too!
Hackney downs a cool place
Great beer, 3 handpulls dedicated to Five Points’ own beers, another three cask lines for guest ales and 16(!) keg lines. Plus wonderful pizza by Ace and OG bar billiards. The perfect pub
Despite being right on a really busy intersection, this is a really nice bar, once you get inside it’s airy and tasteful with a great range of cask and craft ales. Pizzas look good too, but wasn’t hungry in the heat #14 #27
A great pub with a local feel, but hosting some amazing craft beers. Had great guest beers from Turning Point on when I visited, as well as their own beers (pub is ran by The Five Points Brewery). They keep the beers in great condition and at a decent price for London too. Currently table service only which is a little bit of a pain as you have to get staff attention, but it's not really a big deal. Also serves amazing pizzas up, with the menu having a few bold different offerings. Staff were helpful and the pub is dog friendly.
A great busy pub on a busy junction in Hackney. The Pembury Tavern feels like all things to all people. Eclectic beers from Revolution Brewery. Great service and the rarest of all sights in London, a bar billiards table. Great visit.
Real good pub with excellent pizza and beer!
Really lovely pub, our second visit. Staff very friendly. Had the pizza this time (honey pie), it was fab, that crispy base, great toppings, yuuum.
It’s grown on me as the beer selection has grown too 5 points are great but now there’s non hoppy beers too and wine and pizza is good. It’s super busy at the normal peak times. Pics from Sunday. I prefer it when it’s quite bit then That’s me. 5 points have given new life to the Pembury. Looks improved. It lost some of its pub feel, it’s now a tap room. Re name it a tap room not a tavern any more but good enough. Staff super friendly. Good vibes
What a cool place. The tavern is a beautiful bar, the beers are by five points and other guest breweries. The pizzas were surprisingly good. Really, a great place to go if you are looking for a nice beer or ale.
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit this classic East-End boozer.
Based minutes away from Hackney Central station, and managed by craft beer masters, Five Points Brewing Company, The recently renovated Pembury Tavern (in Autumn 2018) still retains the charm and features of an old boozer. Nowadays you'll see local regulars mingle with the younger, cooler kids in the neighbourhood.
There's a billiard table that is free to play and craft beers on tap courtesy of the guys from Five Points. The selection of New York Neapolitan pizza was outstanding especially the 'Honey Pie'. I struggle to name a better pizza in Hackney.
Good beer, great company and buzzing vibes means I can happily recommend The Pembury Tavern to anyone looking for a place to catch up with mates with a beer.
Been here a few times. Great options of drinks and super friendly staff. Would recommend.
