What a gem. I walked past this pub when looking for a meal one night as it seemed from the outside just a pub that did food. However I returned having found nothing else I fancied. Well since my first visit I find when I am in the area I make a beeline for what has become my favourite pub restaurant. Friendly staff and great food make this a must for everyone.

Lovely Friday lunch. Staff very friendly and service excellent. Chicken burger one if the best on the very crowded Crystal Palace Triangle and selection of ales also great. Love having this place as our local.

The Alma is run and staffed by terrific people. The food is fresh and delicious and the menu changes often enough so that you don't get bored. But the things that do stay on the menu like the burgers and the Sunday roasts are excellent.

Best pub in CP! It's been our local since we have moved in the area and very happy to bring kids around for a good meal. Very good quality food and very friendly yet professional service :)

In answer to Keith Floyd LeGordon or LeGordon12 depending on which review site you read. "Keith" didn't actually get a chance to eat his food. We asked him to leave with his other 2 "friends" and band from returning. His language, attitude and demeanor along with his friends was totally unacceptable. They had clearly been drinking before hand. They spend close to 40 mins in garden before they were asked to leave. In 22 year of working in this industry I've never had one of my female staff referred to as a f**king wh*re. This for me was the last straw. He returned the next day, I thought to apologise but no. It was to tell me he was "going to destroy me on the Internet". I take pride in the quality of customer we are lucky enough to have in the Alma. Weeding out people like this will give us every opportunity to keep our valued customer coming back.

Superb, the food here is really something special.
I've had the venison pie on several visits now. The burgers are the best in London!

This is a place where you can enjoy life at a slightly slower pace. The menu appears to be well thought out with a selection of dishes that can be used for grazing or starters. A delicious range of wines to choose from. The place is casual, relaxed and a nice place to hang out. No loud music so a great place to enjoy a good conversation over a bottle of wine, a meal or just a handy hideaway to enjoy a cold pint. Dog friendly.

I had a birthday roast at the Alma yesterday afternoon and it was the BEST. Thankyou so much for being so accommodating for us, a large group of 14 as well as an extra person turning up they managed to get all our food out at the same time and it was all delicious, thankyou to the chefs and thankyou to the manager (I think) who handled our table so well! All the other staff we interacted with were lovely too. Plus the outdoor tent with gas fires is very impressive and makes a great atmosphere.

The most wonderful venue and incredible atmosphere! A place where you can go to relax, enjoy a delicious dinner and a lovely drinks menu! We visit here a lot and love the table service and knowledge team who are already ready to help with any recommendations. The pork belly roast dinner is simply heavenly! Highly recommend to anyone who likes to feel welcomed in a lovely pub with supreme quality food! The ambience in here is really relaxing and a perfect way to unwind after a hectic day in the real world! If I could give you 10 stars I would! We love you! Thank you for creating a sanctuary for us ♥️

Our favourite place to eat in Crystal Palace. The food is great without being fussy. Service always good. Great gluten free options which is hugely appreciated. So grateful for their no children under ten policy - the rest of CP is extremely child friendly, and it's great to be able to eat somewhere without kids screaming or climbing over furniture while you try and enjoy a meal out. Please never change!

All a good standard. The main dishes have been stepped up since pandemic so if you haven't been yet, it's time to pop by for dinner! The bar in the garden closes early and sometimes runs out of ingredients but they had all the good old standby drinks. They decor in the garden looks great : dried floral chandelier with other natural hanging bouquets.

Love it! Great food, amazing service, and even better atmosphere. And not having a hundred and one children running around screaming at the top of their voices is an added bonus. Hats off to the owner and his wonderful team. For sure coming back!

Visited on a Saturday night with some friends. Good menu choices (some had sold out), food was fresh and tasty. Side options could be better-did think they were varied enough to go with all mains, but enjoyed my prawn starter with belly pork for main. Belly pork was cooked really well. Very busy so would advise to book in advance

I'm a roast dinner freak, ask anyone. Before I left London I was an every Sunday kinda guy, my second church after The Night Before. And this place was C.H.U.R.C.H. Amazing potatoes, solid veg, tender and brilliantly flavoured pork, crispy crackling and the gravy and Yorkshire combo was perfect. Yorkshire's are often the let down, but these ones were sublime, not too dry or crunchy although crispy enough, didn't go soggy but were also perfectly soft in the middle instead of being all air. It might have been an accident, but I prefer that it was science. Amazing. I wish I'd discovered this place when I still lived in London 🤣

This has got to be one of my favourite roasts EVER! . Ginormous Yorkshire puds, good selection of veggies and a generous piece of pork belly, all drenched in gravy 😍 . Wheelchair access ♿✔️ Dog friendly 🐶👍

As a dad with two young kids whilst initially disappointed re kids policy when I stumbled upon this place, it’s completely fair to offer an alternative experience to other pubs which, frankly on a Sunday lunch, can feel like being at a crèche. It’s a great pub. A relaxed and peaceful environment and excellent food and beer selection. I wish I had more free time to go their sans kids but it’s good to have up my sleeve for that time I do actually have the chance to escape the madness for a few hours. Embrace it parents - when you get a chance together for an outing without kids you’ll definitely appreciate the option.

Incredible vegan choices for starter! It was really hard to choose! The garden was warm and dry with a big heater and large canopy to protect from any rain! The service was lovely. The main and dessert were amazing too! I enjoyed it so much that I'm looking to book again now but they are full!! Get in early guys!!
