A really lovely find. The food was fantastic. Each bite was better than the last. The donburi came with a delicious miso soup. The staff were attentive and friendly. I loved the decoration. There's downstairs and upstairs sitting, but still a small venue so you might want to book. I am looking forward to returning and making my way through the menu. The toilets were clean.
It was good food with a nice ambience
Everything was neat n clean. However, they could have had a bit more options.
There were a few things that didn't feel very fresh, but I'm assuming it's the Japanese way
It's not a complaint, but I guess I'd need more education on Japanese cuisine
A quaint little Japanese restaurant that serves authentic and fresh Japanese food at a reasonable price. Their takeaway rice boxes are a great deal too! I had their black cod bento and it was decadent.
Wonderful food, wonderful staff! There was a horrible customer sat nearby us and they kept their composure beautifully, god knows I wouldn’t have! Hats off to the wait staff, chefs, and manager: I would 100% come back, great value food, very cosy :)
Excellent lunch at Nala, highly recommend. The food is authentic and very delicious, all freshly prepared. There are Japanese and Korean options on the menu, which suited us both very well. I immensely enjoyed my beef bibimbap which was packed with flavour and a variety of ingredients, and very filling!
Lots of texture and flavour in the ramen too, and the salmon and avo sushi we shared was very morish.
Highly recommend a visit.
Nala is a small, 2 floored restaurant which served delicious Japanese cuisine. The waiting staff were very polite and friendly! Loved their attitude and felt very welcomed. The space is quiet and cozy, I felt relaxed to dine in as there was no disturbance during the experience. The food was tasty, with a fulfilling taste of the sashimi platter!
The chicken gyudon was better than I had expected, portions were on point. Served with miso soup. With small tweaks, Nala can become better in terms of menu and options.
Fantastic restaurant for everyone! Highly recommended! Great amount of high quality food for what you pay for and it's definitely worth it! The atmosphere is lovely and peaceful unlike other places where it's too loud to have a conversation. And the service was extremely wonderful, the waiters ate welcoming and come across as very pleasant people! If you're considering, don't dwell on it much longer because trust me it's amazing! (order the Gyu Don it's so good!)
Stumbled across Nala and what a great find for superb quality sushi. Small upstairs seating area but there is a downstairs as well.
Friendly welcome and everything freshly prepared to order. Tried the Genmai tea and small hot sake to drink. To eat, I had the Takoyaki which was piping hot and melt in your mouth (no chewy octopus in sight) with spicy salmon, fatty tuna with spring onion and tried the snow crab and flying fish roe gunkan. Tons of flavour, perfect temperature of the rice and well balanced flavours. Can’t recommend enough for quality sushi that’s well priced. Happy Eating! Olly
Very good food, super fresh and full of taste. Service was great, and they were happy to make changes to the dishes whee possible.
I have been coming to NALA for over 4 years now, and is by far my favourite Japanese restaurant in London.
The services is attentive, friendly, and quick; the food is varied, delicious, and well-priced.
It feels very authentic, and recommend it to anyone I can -- if you love Japanese food, you will love NALA.
A tranquil oasis in a busy area of central London. It feels like you've stepped into a serene 食堂 serving authentic Japanese food with high quality fish and ingredients.
The service is polite and impeccable, as you'd expect in Japan. You can normally get a table from walking in (both times I've been have been walk-ins) but they have a small portion of tables that can be reserved.
Delicious, simple and always a lovely experience!
Lovely food, good ingredients, reasonable price!
My suggestion is only about the costumer service that could be a bit more attent to the details. The guy didn't speak English well which was quite frustrating because I ordered a miss soup and he said that was coming with my dish and by the end it didn't come. Then when he came to clean our table he grab my glass of wine which I haven't finished. I would come back and I would suggest this place.
Such a surprising experience. Small restaurant that caught our attention randomly, but it was worth the shot.
The atmosphere inside is very peaceful and cozy. You will enjoy a calm and relaxing environment, despite being in central London. Staff speaks fully Japanese, which adds an authentic touch to the experience.
We tried their special Pumpkin croquettes and it was fantastic. Portion size are good enough for you to enjoy every bite.
I got some sushi and they were good portion. My partner got curry, extremely huge size! I wouldn't go for curry usually but this was flavourful.
Staff is really detail driven, will make sure your cutlery is well placed and that you need anything such as water, extra miso soup etc.
Overall, I can only recommend the place.
I stumbled on this Japanese restaurant whilst walking around the area. Loved that it is small and cozy. I had zaru soba/ cold noodles on a very hot day. Refreshing and tasty.
Service was quick and efficient and staff is friendly. Food tasted good and was reasonably priced for central London standards.
Really nice Japanese food that feels like we are at Japan:)
