When you have a craving for top notch fish and chips then Eltham Grill House is the place to go. So far the best in the area I have tried, the batter on fish is superb, crispy, tasty and not too oily either. Not only do they do great F&Cs, but they're also a grill house serving very delicious grilled fish and meats. The lamb on the combination grill is a must try as it was delicious and very tender. Really good portion sizes and great value for money.
The staff are very friendly and efficient and if dining in, the restaurant is a lovely place to be, modern, clean and vibrant. Definitely know one of my favourite local restuarants.
Absolutely loved the food.. great quality and plenty of it, just look at the photos for yourself, unless you're super fussy, you won't be disappointed. The best eatery in the whole of Eltham as far as I'm concerned.
This hidden gem in Eltham did not disappoint. It comes highly recommended by friends and family. Good choice of fish and meat on the menu, staff were attentive and service was with a smile. We loved the decor and the food was delicious. I had cod and chips, my son had swordfish which came with new potatoes and a good portion of salad. It was delicious. My mum had a smaller portion and it was just right. We will be back.
Visited eltham palace and needed a place to get lunch first. Went with my pal and her 4 month year old baby. Lovely place. So friendly!! Can't fault it. They source their fish from billingsgate. Fresh and fried to perfection, but the friendly service was really what made it a lovely memory xxx

I can’t express how amazing this restaurant is.
First of all, the food is ALWAYS cooked fresh, the fish, chips, sausage in batter - the lot. The fish is sourced carefully from billings gate market so there is no frozen fish cooked. All the food they cook is always fresh (never frozen), so the quality is amazing.
The staff are amazing, Barry and his team are always kind and polite and provide the best service in the restaurant and in the take away.
My Nan introduced me to this restaurant 4 years ago and I’ve made so many memories with her here, she sadly passed away recently but I’m lucky that I can go back to this restaurant with all the memories I have with her.
Me and my partner go here at least once a month (recently through take away because of lockdown) but there is no where else I would rather go.
The price for the fish is slightly higher than most places but it’s money well spent as you are paying for fresh high quality food. All of the other food is around the same price as other places but again, the quality is a lot better than other place.

Family friendly fish and chip shop. Bright, clean new, modern looking interior. A busyvplace when we attended in the evening. People attending seemed to be known to the owner. Handshakes and positive comments all round. Food was excellent, a mix of fish and chips and a lityle bitcof Mediterranean. Recommended.
A hidden gem in Eltham. Fancied fish and chips, but wanted to sit down too. Was greeted with a lot more! May even come back here for a date night, we were that impressed.
Was looking for a new fish and chips to try and came across this hidden gem. How i did not discover this place before.upon arriving we were greeted by a friendly guy named Barry , lovely ,friendly and very welcoming , these guys have a passion for what they do and it shows in the quality of not only there food but also their customer service , only thing I cannot comment on is consistency as it’s my first time eating here however I will definitely be visiting Barry and the team again at the Eltham grill house huge thanks
Food took ages to come out. People next to us had there's and ate and went and we were still waiting. eventually it came out. My husbands rock and chips were lovely, but my salmon was over cooked. Need more staff because they were so busy to even ask a question or want anything else. Not the experience I wanted. Would order a fish and chip take away from them.
Food was lovely & hot & very tasty, they ask you if your meal was OK, never had that in other restaurants, staff are lovely & friendly, would highly recommend it, my friend & I went on a Monday it was a bit quieter then, Thursday & Friday very busy, enjoy.
Great place to go for beer and food, gets very busy between 6+9 roughly, food very good, but a little patience is needed if you sit in and order food ( need another staff member to take orders so your not left waiting for a while) but yes go and enjoy
Great place…. I took a lovely pic of the man with my dogs and something was missing from my order when I got home, as I distracted the man with my dogs 😊. The man delivered the item personally with extra. Food was amazing .
Surprised at the choices on the menu really good choice for anyone. All freshly cooked good generous size portions. Kept very clean and tidy.
Only downside was a single toilet for all to share. I will be going back again.
Takeaway fish and chips are on a different level way above any where else that I have had fish and chips. Excellent couldn't fault it and the staff are friendly and accommodating. All freshly cooked in front of you.
The restaurant is very clean and the decor is tasteful. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the food was exceptional.
I would have given 5 stars, but the waitress got a drink order wrong twice. The other point was that the side salad was saturated in vinegaret which was a shame.
Overall I will certainly visit again as the fish was amazing!!
Very nice cod, chips & mushy peas. Was still hot upon delivery. Delicious home made tartar sauce.
A friend and I made another visit today, and as always, we thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
The staff are all very friendly and professional. The restaurant is extremely clean and the decor is nice and modern. Always great background music, and on occasions they organise tribute nights. Coming soon is a Buddy Holly tribute night.
The food is excellent. The service is very good. Theres a great menu choice and the prices are not expensive. We both enjoyed our beautifully cooked Plaice, I had chips with mine and my mate had salad. The food portions are generous. The staff are a happy bunch and you are made to feel welcome.
I can recommend Eltham Grill House without any reservations.
