Came in to escape the cold and was welcomed with a warm hug! Glad i did - the food and service was lovely! Will be back to try more from the menu.
- Food: had avocado and chorizo sandwich, delicious, great food presentation by the owner/chef. Price for bun sandwich on its own is too high, nicer if it included extra side like fries to make it more filling.
- Drinks: had matcha latte with coconut milk, glad they use proper authentic matcha powder. Liked that water is served automatically.
- Ambience: bright decor, cosy, warm temperature.
- Service: perfect Italian service! The best.
Everything about Riders Bar is stylish. I love the soups they do, which are superbly presented and simply delicious. The coffee is great. The service is excellent and the vibe is chilled, it’s a lovely place to enjoy a relaxing lunchtime. Also recommend their yummy salads, as pictured.
Great new cafe opened in Balham. Great coffee and tasty food. Had a great chat with owner and fellow cyclist Fabio and will definitely go cycling together.

Great little shop! The nice waiter recommended the americano and they also have free wifi which is good for the traveler with spotty and limited gb on their SIM card. Wish I would have ordered a breakfast sandwich the guy next to me did and it was huge! Maybe the next time I’m around Balham! Lovely vibe though quiet cool and relaxing on a rainy afternoon.
Such a cool vibe in this coffee shop, really chilled music. This has now become my regular coffee joint. Granola pots are delish and the coffee is so smooth. The staff are awesome. Love it!

Delicious brunch - highly recommend the scrambled eggs on sourdough with avocado and chorizo! Was delicious. My brother also really enjoyed his pancakes and said they were very tasty. Lovely fresh and upbeat cafe with a cycling theme! Really recommend
What a lovely cafe, the coffee is amazing and the food and service is great. A bit of a hidden gem in Balham and really nice relaxed atmosphere.
We came here few times when this awesome coffee shop opened. It was really chilled being there. They had plant based milk and some vegan option when it came to cakes and some food which was amazing. The staff was really lovely and the whole space was amazing. Great place to come for a catch up or do some work. Music wasn't too loud and we felt really welcomed there
Amazing coffee and a wonderful place to sit and relax. The staff are fantastic and always make you feel so welcome and guarantee to serve you with a smile. Food is also delicious and very reasonably priced. Honestly can't recommend this place enough if you are looking for a nice spot in Balham to enjoy some coffee and food
My wife and I always enjoy our flat whites here. This is the place to go to for an authentic cup of coffee. In fact, very few places serve consistently great coffee and South River in Balham definitely counts as one of them. It is not entirely surprising as you see each cup of coffee prepared with much care and respect for the coffee bean. The friendliness of the staff and the soothing ambience are a real treat. Having left the UK, South River Coffee in Balham definitely counts as one of our happiest memories of the country. To this jewel of Balham, keep up the great work!!
Great coffee place. Beats the competition in the area. Always a warm welcome. Great coffee and calm atmosphere. The sofa is the best place to sit if you can grab it. Generally a good kind of busy everytime. It is a little hipster if that isn't your thing. I am in denial that i am fast transitioning into a hipster, so it suits me if i am being honest with myself. A few more sofas and i would give it 5 stars.
Fab little bistro in Balham, had the most gorgeous eggs benedict and iced coffee. Was extremely reasonably priced and the staff were so helpful and accommodating.
