Quick takeaway between the lunch break. The lunch meal is cheap and good. It has so much to have - a wrap, drink and chips. A very cozy place to sit as well.
The Court, once packed with students, is now in a hinterland between its past incarnation and something (only minutely) more upmarket. The main upside of this is that the toilets are much nicer now, but the main downside is that the beer is more expensive than it once was. I always think of The Court as an 'activity heavy' pub, with a jukebox to select music on, a plethora of televisions on which to watch the sport and pool tables on the upper floor. It is almost always overflowing in the evenings, but with a little patience, you will find a seat. Ask for their 'beer and a burger' deal which isn't the best quality, but is certainly great value.
Hi there guys,
This little pub is very popular with the UCL students, especially those living at Ramsey Hall and Astor College, therefore making its always lively and filled with students. It does do really cheap food, and so its very convenient to get a bit of grub with a few pints.
I usually order the infamous Court Burger, but it is frequently lifeless and limp, as it feels like the burger is part of a school dinner. They don't give you too many chips, but that is actually a good thing as there are less of them to eat!
Nevertheless, it is quite fun there, as upstairs there are a few pool tables, football is always being played on the TVs. It has been recently renovated and looks better (especially the toilets which used to be a disgrace). The Court is a great place to socialise whether it is lunch or afternoon drinks.
