Orgasmic food and unbelievably kind and efficient staff! Would come back here in a heart beat!
For some strange reason I rarely go to a pub for a meal. Why? I have no idea. We have our fair share of pubs and adjoining bistro's in
Amazing food. Best roast I have had in a long time. A large portion and beautifully presented. The sirloin looked more like a steak than a slice of roast but it was cooked amazingly.
Service was excellent.
It wasn’t busy at all but there was relaxing music and enough chatter from other tables for it not to feel empty.
My sister had a vegan curry which looked horrible but tasted amazing.
Would definitely come back!
Service is always excellent!
The food is served promptly and overall good. Today we had the bangers and mash which was enjoyed. The salmon and haddock fishcake was a bit disappointing as it was pretty much potato with some salmon/haddock flakes. Not necessarily bad, just not what was offered. Truffle and parmesan fries were ok too.
Loved seeing the fire lit on a cold and rainy day, it was a highlight of the visit.
Great Sunday Lunch with family in this lively and popular local pub. Service was fun, relaxed and friendly, Henry, our server gave his recommendations and they were spot on, loved the croquettes for a starter. The main roasts were excellent, portions were generous and the meat was succulent and tasty. Good value for money, worth booking to guarantee a table.
We hired the private room upstairs for a babyshower and it was fantastic. Great spacious room which we could decorate, staff (in particular Brian) were amazing, and food was delicious. A great place to host your event.
Popped in for lunch after a walk in Dulwich Park and was delighted. Their sunday roast is a really generous portion and delicious, they have a good selection of beers, friendly staff, and a really warm atmosphere. Will definitely come again when in Dulwich!
First time visiting since it was taken over by new management. Pleased to report it still has the best Sunday roast in East Dulwich.
We were sat in the the private dining room upstairs which was quieter than the bar.
Service was great; our waitress was really attentive and regularly came upstairs to see if we needed anything.
Lovely atmosphere, and great roast! you get loads of veg and roasties all cooked to perfection- not pictured in my photo unfortunately. I like the upstairs where you have a separate space for your party, apparently can fit 30 people and is bookable for a minimum spend. The staff are friendly and we're always around if we needed more drinks or anything. Been here for our friends birthday for the past three years now. Highly recommend.
Lovely Sunday roasts and food. The liver with caper butter was exceptional. I would recommend this place to anyone who is able to eat food- 99% of people I guess. Some of the staff seem a little away with the fairies 🧚♂️. Like one barman who said he didn’t know what the roasts came with- despite them being the main thing on the menu. Odd but funny
I absolutely love The Palmerston in East Dulwich. I'm a local and this is my go to place and where I take all friends and family. There is an indoor and outdoor area. The food is great as is the price. Best of all the staff are so welcoming and make you feel like a part of a family. The Palmerston is a wonderful pub. I thoroughly recommend it.
Staff to adore! Food to die for! Palmerston is a jewel of East Dulwich.
This is a gastropub with the mission of providing an informal "fine dining" experience in a pub environment. So, the quality of food served at this establishment is of a higher standard than one normally finds on Lordship Lane. The prices reflect their mission. While the food is great - the service could be more attentive.
We have eaten here several times and the food is always spot on. The lamb with white truffles is exceptional.
Celebrated my husbands 50th birthday with a 3 course sit down meal with 25 mates in the private area upstairs recently. Absolutely recommend this space if you looking for a venue. Dan and his team are lovely & super helpful. The space is perfect. Nicely done out. You have your own bar upstairs, music system (and the outside terrace for the smokers) The the 3 course set menu was a winner - the food was excellent.
I spent a lovely hour or so, sitting outside with family and having a few drinks. The prices here are very reasonable for London, and the pub is located on Lordship Lane, which is a wonderful little shopping & hospitality street in South-East London. It's a great combination for a sunny Saturday.
Best espresso martini in south east, highly recommend
