First time I have been to GBK and I must say so happy I did, the brisket burger bundle was amazing and staff was really friendly, I look forward to going again soon.
Fantastic food and service, and more than happy to accommodate our specific dietary needs (we can't have bread) will definitely return

Pretty good for a burger chain! I haven't visited enough burger joints to make a decent comparison, but if you're craving a burger then this isn't a bad place to check out. They've got baconnaise (bacon mayonnaise) here, which works really well with the sweet potato fries.
They've got a lot of interesting burger combinations, and milkshakes if you're looking to really spoil yourself. I haven't tried their milkshakes, but I doubt that they're anything short of delicious...then again, I can be easy to please when it comes to a decent milkshake.
I'm not a burger person myself, but this is one of the better restaurants in the Brunswick. I also appreciate how they've made accommodations for vegetarians.
Good place and courteous staff. The veggie class GBK was great . Something I never tried before was the skinny fries which were pretty good .
GBK met my expectations exactly in how I thought the burgers would be, simple yet with quality ingredients. I must say though that when you are initially presented with the burger the portion seems a bit overwhelming but once you taste it, you'll have no trouble finishing it. The only thing I was disappointed by was the decor. Yes, I realize it is a chain restaurant, but in that respect the interior is still not at all welcoming...I found it to be quite cold and unwelcoming actually.
I love the selection of burgers here and always feel spoiled for choice. My favourite though is The Wellington - with fresh rocket, juicy portobello mushroom and tangy horseradish - it never fails to please. The burgers are easily enough on their own, especially as there are free monkey nuts as appetisers. However, if you wanted a side too, make sure the blue cheese dip is part of it because wow.
The drinks are quite overpriced, but no more than is expected for a chain restaurant. In terms of decor, service, etc, there's not much to say either way - GBK is a chain - it's all just sort of average.
The variety of the menu is likely the main selling point for GBK, and Bloomsbury had 40% off for students in September, and I think 30% the rest of the year. It's a solid, mid-range restaurant which is a trustworthy mid-week lunch or dinner location.
If you want the best burger in London, this is not it. But if you want a huge range of choices and your company are fussy eaters, head here and order the Taxi Driver with the sweet potato fries (the bacon aioli is genius), and a honeycomb milkshake if you think you can handle it.
Simply brilliant.....by far the best burger I've ever eaten anywhere
One of the finest chains that London has to offer for those meat loving amongst us. With a wide range of juicy meals on offer, there's bound to be something you like. For first timers, my personal recommendation is the Avacado Bacon Chicken, which will give you a different taste to what you might have had before! The specialities are also worth checking out. Best of all, this burger joint puts quality in all the dishes. This specific branch is quite secluded with a mellow, dark atmosphere. Nonetheless a well maintained place befitting to the culture that has been instilled from the chain!
I really like gourmet burger kitchen. Their menus are diverse and they have a much more interesting range of burgers than many other burger chains. My favourite was a taster tray with three small burgers, which was incredibly filling and contained a great variety of flavours. The shakes are also very tasty and far bigger than any normal person could drink!
Gourmet Burger Kitchen is is an extremely solid burger joint to get your meal from. Their quality is extremely consistent and they have some tantalising curveballs such as the Kiwiburger (beetroot, pineapple, egg and cheddar) and the buffalo burger, which are my personal recommendations. I do take exception to the fact you have to order your fries separately, but then my wrath is distracted by the delicious milkshakes will never leave you hungry after a visit. Unfortunately, this branch of GBK is slightly sequestered from the light of day in a tunnel exiting the Brunswick centre, but the interior is clean and comfy and rarely busy enough to make it uncomfortable to sit in. A definite must for the burger connoisseur.
GBK, found at almost every 2nd mile in London caught my attention the day I was looking for a quick fix meal and felt intrigued to see its menu. Now on one hand its a pretty concise menu, but that itself was what made me decide in its favour. I thought to myself "how wrong could someone go with a chicken burger and fries?". Wrong-I was, for not trying it earlier on. I went with the simplest option in chicken- the classic chicken burger with fries. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal and have been a regular since.

I have been to GBK quite a few times and it never ceases to amaze me at how great the burgers really are. I am hardly an adventurous man, but I do try my hardest to branch out when I go to there, but I always find myself ordering the Classic Beef Burger.
The combination of relish with garlic mayo, brilliantly cooked burgers, with crisp and fresh salad placed with 2 buns creates a sensation which is hard to describe. They are simply fantastic and always seem to hit the spot. The Chunky Chips on the side act to complement the meal whilst the Onion Rings are often a bit chewy and not as nice to eat.
Another great thing about GBK is the promotions which are frequently on, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for these deals and pick up their loyalty card.
The one complaint about this specific branch of GBK, in Russell Square, is the large glass window, which makes you feel like a small fish in a fishbowl. Although its nice to munch on your grub whilst watching the world go by, you sometimes get the feel that people are walking past, watching your every move, which isn't as nice.
Nevertheless, these quality burgers are worth the journey and if you somehow have never tried a GBK burger, you should go straight away as you are indeed missing out!

When dropping by the Brunswick centre, do not hesitate to pass by the Gourment Burger Kitchen a.k.a. GBK. The reason i say this is really quite simple: Burgers there are fantastic!
Now yes it is true that the Brunswick GBK is relatively small and does not look so good from the outside. This is unfortunately mainly due to its location which prevents it from receiving any sunlight at any point in the day. But please, do not let this spoil it for you.
Among the raging battle of burgers currently unfolding itself in London, GBK is no loser. HAving been around for over 5 years, i actually believe GBK has been able to learn from its mistakes and stay up there with the best.
Firstly GBK has a strong variety of burgers (has burgers for spice lovers, green lovers, small-burger lovers, lamb lovers etc.) Basically, and this is important, GBK understands that people need more than just bacon and cheese in their burgers (although i personally dont really...).
Secondly, GBK specialises in burgers. GBK does not waist its and our time with the rest... Basically, its a burger kitchen which means they intelligently decided not to have pizza on their menu.
Thirdly, it has a smart pay and eat system in place (you pay at the cashier before your food arrives). This does make payment and food arrival alot faster than usual.
Finally, the taste of their burgers is great. GBK does put effort in purchasing quality products and in particularly its beef which is yet to disappoint me. This on the other hand does push towards higher prices but isn't that just the price to pay for good food (get it?)
Negatives: dont want to be too negative about GBK. if i had too, i would say it doesn't yet have a horse meat burger (shame there..). Secondly, it does put a rather off putting tomato paste in all of its burgers (personally i always ask for mine without it). And finally, its fries remain a little ordinary (they could do with some originality, sweet potato fried for example! Pardi!)

The food was delicious! I ordered the Korean BBQ chicken burger with sweet potato fries and it was so flavourful and the chicken thigh inside was huge! 👍🏻
Enjoyed a delicious classic burger, Very tasty well cooked burger with nice toppings. The burger was cooked to order. The fries were good and so was a chocolate milkshake, On top of all the the staff were very helpful, patient and friendly. The restaurant was busy but we would be seated immediately. Lots of student there as Monday to Friday GBK offers a 20% discount to students. There is a clean loo on-site.
How a burger should be; simple, and freshly cooked from quality ingredients.
The waiter deserves medal for serving all the tables by himself.
The menu is very limited - it really needs more items on the starters menu.

GBK is one of my favorite burger chains in London.
We ordered the satay chicken burger and it was delicious, the chicken is well cooked and juicy, pesto grilled chicken burger was a bit dry.
The strawberry elderflower fizzy drink is very refreshing and highly recommended, the vanilla milkshake is nice and thick.
The place was busy and they only had one waiter but he managed to serve us and he was friendly and professional.
Absolutely great experience! The burger was one of my favourites grilled chicken burgers ever! The sauce is just perfect. The staff is super nice.
The manager also came and asked if everything is alright with my order which is not very likely to see in burger places.
It was my first GBK experience and I loved it. Highly recommended and I'll come again for sure!
Service was very good and fast, food was really tasty, the lady behind the counter was really gentle and patient with a vulnerable customer. We just needed a nice big burger for a Saturday treat and got exactly what we wanted :)
GBK is somewhere I usually visit on my trips to London. So staying nearby meant that I came here two nights in a row. The food is delicious, the prices are good for London and the waiters are very helpful! As with most places they seem a little short staffed at the moment but please be courteous and understanding and you will have a lovely meal.
A cool, comfy, small branch of GBK. Staff were friendly. The food tasted great as always. I tried the Matcha Milkshake for the first time and it was amazing the Matcha was tasty. Make sure you have the GBK app downloaded so you can get free food and burger deals.
Had delicious burger and fries today. Was struggling with our Wowcher offer but the lovely assistant Aiste was so kind and helpful and talked us through it. Nothing was too much trouble for her. A lovely experience and food!

Some of THE best burgers around! Service was a tad slow and expensive for a fast food joint, but otherwise the burgers are so worth it.
Doesn't disappoint. The burgers are worth every penny. Best combo is bacon and avocado. Pair it with a milkshake and you're set. So good :)
