Reviews of Nando's Great Portland Street

Great Nando’s and I’ve been to a few! Absolutely massive inside and relatively new and modern. Little bit of seating outside but lots and lots of seats inside. When I went it wasn’t too busy so was great! Located on Great Portland Street it’s close to both Regents Park and Warren Street Tube stations. The staff are very nice and friendly, you can order with your phone and on the app still, food was exactly what you expect from Nando’s and totally up to standard. Food also came pretty quick too. Toilets are quite cool and modern, housed in their own individual pods. All in all I would definitely return to this Nando’s and even if I wasn’t close I may travel slightly out of my way to this specific one.

Popped in for a quick lunch, I was not disappointed. The ambience at this Nandos is lovely, large dining space, and generally well maintained. I was seated at a table promptly, the host was very friendly, and explained how ordering works. I ordered at the counter this time, which was quick and easy, all the staff were extremely pleasant. Upon returning from ordering, a glass and cutlery had been placed ready and waiting for me, which was amazing, and beyond expectations, nice touch (thank you even if it may have been an accident). When the food arrived I was again pleased. The food was presented exactly how it should be, and delivered by a friendly staff member. They served appropriate size portions and the food was presented well, it was obvious the chef took pride in dishing up the food, and the items were not just chucked on the plate. Taste was on point, chicken was suitably chargrilled but still remained moist and juicy from inside and seasoned well, chips as they should be, sprinkled with peri salt! As expected, shortly into my meal they came and checked if I was ok, felt genuine, like the staff member really cared, this is very important, they asked in a way where it didn't just feel like a tick box exercise, so again well done. I feel this is an excellent value for money dining option, especially for casual dining. I also observed other staff members making other diners experience pleasant, they listened to customers requests and delivered and communicated professionally and efficiently. Great experience at this particular branch in London, was a completely unrushed, unfussed experience. I felt like a valued customer. Well done Team, keep up the good work, your skills should be shared with some other branches in the East of London where I have previously had a poor experience. Thank you.

I came here for dinner with my friend and her mum and dad, it was my friends' parents first time at Nandos before, and sceptical of the spice they were, they actually really enjoyed their meals, as did me and my friend. I had a butterfly chicken done in hot spice with piri salted chips and coleslaw, and I have to say this was possibly the best Nandos I've had in my life. The staff were amazing and our server was so friendly and attentive, I could not fault them one bit. It was relatively quiet but we enjoyed that atmosphere over a crowded venue. Perfect meal, perfect hosts, what more can you say.

Literally just ordered and ate my food. Our office placed an order for 10 staff and everyone very much enjoyed their food! One coleslaw was missed off but it’s no big deal. I had 4 thighs, chips and coleslaw. The food arrived 15 minutes earlier which was great and it was nice and hot. I’m sure we will order from here again!

We visited Nandos on one of the days that we were staying at the nearby Holiday Inn.<br/><br/>Shockingly, Nandos in London is self service to place your order but once its ready they deliver it to your table - weird!<br/><br/>We ordered the beanie pita with a side of peri peri fries. We also ordered the butterfly chicken breast with a side of coleslaw and fries.<br/><br/>The chicken was good but did not have enough sauce. The beanie patty was too heavy as it had a lot of chickpeas and cheese. The pita did not have enough sauce either.<br/><br/>Thank god for the nandos peri sauce bottles so we could re-dress our dishes!

This was not a pleasant visit to the restaurant, because unfortunately the waiter that welcomed us forgot to explain how this restaurant work causing some unpleasant surprise... Even though you are going to eat in you do have to place your order at the counter pick up your own plate, cutlery and everything needed to eat unless you want to eat with your hands... The food was ok even though we've ordered chicken without any sauce there was still some don't know if it was from the grill or the utensils used but there was some hot sauce on it.

To say I love Nandos is an understatement. Foursquare tells me I've been to this Nandos alone 23 time this year! I'm here at least once a week. It's never so busy you have to wait to be seated, and the service is always quick. Food always arrives as one, unlike other Nandos I've been to where it arrives in drips and drabs for everyone on the table.
