I really don't know what happened to this place .
I celebrated my wedding here 14 years ago , it was amazing and we also were regular customers.
The owner was a lovely man , we were always served by him , he made sure we didn't wait more than few minutes to get the bread and starters , then it suddently changed, decor is HIDEOUS and place packed of drunk Gulf Arabs .
Whats belly dance got to do with Iran anyway ?Shame what the place turned out, but food is still good , anyway don't recommend it for a weekend dinner to single ladies.
OH My God, i am Iranian and know what i'm talking about, Apadana's Kebab is like the one i have in the best Restaurants in Iran, its the most authentic i have ever tried in London. the Bread is fresh and hot of the Tandoor. the Khoresh ( Curries) are to die for. i tried the Lamb shank last time i was there, and the sauce is heavenly with spices and Saffron, i can forget the taste nor the flavor. i cant wait to go back. Ask for Ismael, the Waiter, he really took care of me, with complementary tea and sweets at the end.
What an amazing and Juicy Lamb, i had the double Shish lamb with Saffron rice, and my girl had the Chicken with Green rice, we were stunned. i have never had anything like this before, its amazing. the service was really nice, its been there for 50 years, yet i havent seen it before, i will certainly come back
We were walking down the high street when we came across apa and decided to eat there . Food was actually really nice , the Koobideh was 10/10 .staff were lovely and we got some free sweets and tea when we ordered the bill . Pleasant time there and would recommend to anyone feeling like Persian cuisine .
We walked by this restaurant during a night out for a quick meal, but ended up staying for the whole night!! Thinking we were going to have an average meal, we were surprised to be entertained by live music and belly dancers!! The food was incredible too, with fresh bread made right in front of us paired with the most delicious meats, stews and fresh juices. They even offered gluten free and vegetarian options. Definitely coming back!!
Good food i liked bathinjan stew aka eggplant with the rice
The tahdig was not that good it was chewy and not crunchy
The koobiedah kabab was good
The laban was perfect
Amazing Grilled Lamb, with Aromatic Saffron Rice, the Bread is freshly made in front of you, the staff is so friendly and attentive. they have live Persian Jazz music, and the prices are very affordable.
We had a lovely night visiting on Friday night. We were warmly welcomed by the friendly people working there and by the sound of the live singer who was playing Iranian music and when the food came it was amazing as well. Lived and exceeded our expectations and will be there again soon
Best Iranian ever. Amazing Kebabs, best Service, amazing price. thats why this place has 5 stars and has been here for 50 years. i loved the place and will keep coming for more.
Famously Fab. An Iranian taxi driver told me about the place adding that every time he feels homesick he goes to Apadana to get a real taste of home. I tried the place several times (before and after renovation) and it never fails to deliver. I don't want to indoctrinate anyone but being a grilled meats aficionado I am not easily pleased in that department. Yet with Apadana I could easily say it was(and probably still is) the best Kofte-style kebab I have ever had in my life! Chelo Kabab Koubideh (an incredible snip at about £7.50 with the fluffiest rice known to mankind -and we're talking High St Ken!!) is truly marvellous. Not to mention my favourite starters of the aubergine variety namely Mirza Ghassemi. Let alone you're getting a proper Perisan Nan bread straight from the stone oven which has nothing to do with an Indian name sake. The ultimate beauty of the place lies in its BYO status. Nearby Waitrose will cater to the most demanding wine buffs palettes. So there are all pre-conditions to enjoy the excellent quality food at more than reasonable prices washing it down with your favourite wine. Simply divine!
Grilled meats and veggie dips galore. The staff here are warm and welcoming, and always ready to help with the menu.
The mezze platters are always a good bet as the various dips are very good, particularly the hoummous and babaganoush. The taftoun (flat bread) is crispy, light and superior!
The meat is melt-in-you-mouth tender and very well marinated, and if you venture towards stews or more adventurous alternatives, those that I've sampled have been very good. It's not especially expensive, and the quality is high and consistent.
The restaurant is BYOB, and very quiet - so if you need atmosphere, bring your own in the form of a bunch of friends who love a good chat over wonderful shared food.
Mix grilled was delicious but starters were a average. Customer service was good but the restaurant is on the high end price side.
I ordered Chenjeh Momtaz with salad today and a Mast o Khiyar from Uber eats
The food came in very hot and in a very good and big portion.
The salad was not very good. Tomatoes and Cucumber was very big pieces and looked like anything green were in there.
There was neither any utensils with the food, nor salt, pepper or sumac with kebab.
The main texture of the food was peppery. Koobideh was a bit spicy too compare to the original Koobideh.
Overall the food was good in quality and according to its price.
Good food with very welcoming service ❤️👍🏻
Delicious food, nice environment and great service. Its a hidden jem in hight St. Ken.
The food was amazing best chicken shish I’ve ever had in the Persian restaurant! But staff was very poor. We kept having to wait for things like extra bread, drinks, sauces, anything we needed they weren’t attentive to us and it was honestly little stressful trying to constantly get them to come and assist us. If the staff was more friendly maybe I would go back.
Got the lamb skewer. Portion was very large and the meat was super tender. Rice was crazy good, too. Ice cream was also light and I loved the rose water in it
What an amazing night. Great atmosphere. Service was 10/10, they are so sweet and friendly. Koobideh was delicious, starters (Mirza and Kashk) were great. Bread was unbelievable. Chengeh was a bit tough, that's my only gripe. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Visited as a group of three. We shared the mixed starter which was a delicious range of dips served with flat bread which was made to order in a traditional oven. We then shared the family grill which is a range of delicious meats served with rice. Generous portions, everything was delicious, friendly service. Would highly recommend
We came here for lunch and the staff couldn’t have been better! They’re warm and friendly and the food is absolutely outstanding. Portions are very generous and the flavors are just perfect.

You must go and try
We tried their family grill platter and I was gobsmacked! Tender lamb and beef kebabs and butter soft chicken! Simply delish.
Had a fantastic diner at Apadana, we had some nice bread with hummus and aubergine caviar, and then some delicious mixed grilled meat with safran rice. Everything was really tasty. The service was great and the place pretty neat.
The food was freshly cooked and tasted good, but the portion was a bit small. The restaurant can be a bit noisy as there was a big group
While we were there. Even though we tried to sit further from the group.
Very delicious, authentic Iranian food. Good portions for the price. Service was friendly, although the live music outside was a bit loud.
The homemade saffron ice cream was a particular highlight, tea on the house was also a nice touch. Will no doubt be returning when I'm next in the neighborhood.
