Great Ale and food! First visit to London, made to feel so welcome. Food was amazing, veggy pie for me and belly pork for Lynn. We will visit again on our return visit in the future. Thanks

Top notch food. Lou had an awesome chicken, chorizo and olive pie....all knarled and split and utterly authentic. The panna cotta was close to chewy which was fantastic.

A fine place, the Lord Clyde is now called the Engle Field. A warm roomy pub with an emphasis on food. A good selection of keg beers and three cask ales on offer (although only Doombar was available on my visit). Cheery staff and good service. There is a large courtyard garden at the rear with plenty of seating for everyone. A cool pub.

A nice pub with a lot of sitting space, good food an nice people. They have a good selection of cask ales & beers on tap, a few choices of cider. I've tried several of the dishes in the menu and everything taste great.

Lovely traditional pub with a great selection of beers. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was great, we had the fish & chips. We also enjoyed watching the rugby & will definitely be visiting again soon.

Brilliant pub... the food is incredible!! Those thick cut crispy chips were a dream! They are forced by UK law to do thier burgers medium these days (sux cause they had the BEST beefy pink burgers in town) - still great though. Spicy, spicy soups... lovely staff... just a great pub. Never too crowded, always friendly. Outdoor seating. Crispy quality fish and chips....Loved it. Top spot.

What a lovely pub! Very pleasant staff, excellent comfortable environment and delicious food. Had sunday lunch on the street side terrace, which didn't have the feeling of being on the main road due to the privacy provided by the wall. Sunday lunch was perfect. The desert was amazing- the sundae brought back childhood memories! Definitely going back

Easy going pub with solid tasty food and friendly staff. Quiet garden and outdoor seating, a little bit of peace and quiet on a noisy Essex Road.
