Food is actually delicious 😋, restaurant is beautiful, some of the staff are lovely. Just good hearty Thai food I would highly recommend coming here.
Thai silk serve pretty decent Asian food with a variety of choices available on their menu. It's a casual restaurant and service has been good.
Where do you eat in the hinterland between Waterloo and London Bridge? Well tucked away behind Southwark station are a row of restaurants and bars in the arches under the railway line. Thai Silk is situated here on Isabella Street, a couple of minutes walk from Southwark Underground or 10 minutes from Waterloo Station.
This is the place where I got introduced to thai food. Abaolutely brilliant just love their curries. Only complaint is less rice quantity haha. Very good place do visit.

We came to this place on the insistence of my partner, and we ended up having some of the best time ever. If I am being honest, I found the portions to be on the smaller side, but they were filling enough, and the place gives a really good value for money. The service was really good, in spite of the place being full, and the food was delicious and nice.
I absolutely am appalled by the negative reviews! I do not quite understand their experience when i had such a great time with my partner here. In fact the Thai food that is served here is prepared with great care and the ingredients are super fresh! The service too is pretty standard! I do not know what more can you ask from a restaurant.
This place in my opinion is a really appropriate location to celebrate occasions like birthdays and large group treats and the service here is very conducive to such large gatherings. The menu too offers a great range of dishes and the taste in general too is quite delicious. I think one must definitely try this place out!
I attended Thai Silk for a friends celebration drinks therefore i cannot comment on their food.
In regards to the bar and drinks they're reasonably priced and their cocktails are pretty good. The nightclub can get overly packed and busy which can be annoying, although i believe the reason for it becoming so busy is the great music they play.
The staff are friendly and as attentive as possible during busy peak hours on the weekends. I did wait almost 10 minutes to be served my drink but the barman apologised and it was  busy!
I recommend Thai Silk to anyone who wants to wind  down at the end of the week, but beware it can get crazy busy! Though, remains a fantastic space to dance and have fun.
I went there once with friends to have a light lunch. The venue is in Southwark, close to main bus stops and station.Â
I had tried Thai before and I loved the cuisine. At that time I only ordered some fresh noddles with vegetables as I was fasting. There were quite fresh and well cooked. We had fun as the venue plays good music as well and in the combination with food and great customer service, the experience was quite good. It was also quite cheap as we spent only around £25 for two people.
I will definitely bring more people there.
I went here to celebrate a co-workers leaving party. Thai Silk is a restaurant/bar that almost turns into a nightclub in the night. They serve Thai food, all I had was drinks so I can not comment on the restaurant as the main point of going to Thai Silk was for the bar. They have a great environment which is lively and joyful. They play great music from chart hits, rnb, pop and even a bit of basement. Their drinks are reasonably priced as well. I would recommend Thai Silk for a night out after work.
The food served at Thai Silk is authentic thai, and the restaurant it self has a very thai feel to it. It is run by thai people, and it is exactly like you'd expect a casual thai restaurant in Thailand to be like; big screens to watch football, an outer area with a lot of greenery , some thai adornments on the walls, and a bar which serves singha.
The restaurant has quick service but most waiters do not look too happy.
When i was dining at this restaurant my friend spoke with the waiter in thai, after which they served us extremely well, infact when the waiter saw one of us order vegetarian food, he came running back later telling us that the bottles of sauces on the table also had fish sauce and suggested us to avoid that.
The food itself is above average, the prices are reasonable (cheap for me because i always go with a tastecard), the ambiance is nice and its usually quite full.
An nice traditional Thai restaurant that also has a bar with a club atmosphere next store.
The food isn't fancy but it tastes tradition. A pot of curry filled with yummy vegetables and your choice of meat.
The Massaman wasn't a sweet as I am used to and I thought I tasted a tomato base but I still enjoyed it. It was mildly spicy.
We had a that tea which was not sweat at all, which is my preference, and bananas in coconut milk for dessert.
We enjoyed our experience. Our server didn't seem like she wanted to be there so we have to flag her down a lot as she was busy chatting with her friend.
Very good night. The food was good. Staff very welcoming.
A good venue for groups. Good location just round the corner from southwark station so getting home was no problem.

As a restaurant in London, it must be a very nice one, and not expensive— a Thai food restaurant near Southwark station.
Foods are correct and quite voluminous. Also buffet style course is available, which allows you to pick whatever you like from the big counter plates of Asian foods. Staff are kind but understaffed, thus from time to time, service is slow but within permissible range.
Really tasty food, very nice vibe, good location. Can get quite busy on a friday night though.
Thai Silk serves one of best Thai food in London and their street food menu was authentic. If you miss Thailand and their food, Thai Silk would not disappoint you.
It's such a lovely place to have dinner for a group or a just a couple. Love there Food. Will definitely visit again.

There is a dining room, a bar and a lovely outside patio. Too cold for that for us tonight, but the dining room is really lovely. Nicely decorated and comfortable. The food and service were outstanding. Each dish was well prepared and had its own flavors and taste. No one size fits all sauces, etc. This is very high quality Thai food in a very nice location.

I had coconut rice with green Thai chicken curry. It was really good.i recommend.
A bunch of us turned up after work to say farewell to a colleague retiring from our team. We enjoyed several drinks in the bar before retiring to a private dining room upstairs where we had the fixed price menu. The food was freshly prepared and well presented. The taste was vibrant while in some cases extremely hot. The hospitality and service throughout was attentive without being overbearing. Complimentary use of the karaoke machine was hilarious as some of the backing tracks were clearly not as the original band intended. That said we had great fun and would recommend this as a venue for work events.
Service was good, friendly staff and food served quickly. Dishes were tasty and portion sizes are big so you shouldn't go hungry. Has two areas, the restaurant and bar. Bar looked like it would be good for post work/weekend drinks. Recommended for food or drinks.
