Just one word to describe!!! FABULOUS, the portion are really good and the test is exquisite, service is very good!!! All the waiters are very kind and helpful, I really recommend
Beautiful Iranian restaurant. I've been coming here for years. The food is excellent and delicious - my favourite restaurant in London. Highly recommend to everyone.
Amazing food and service. Meat was of a good quality.Naan bread was freshly baked.Safi the waiter was very helpful.
Big portion sizes, price is amazing would recommend it any day
Lovely restaurant- such nice art work.
The food is a very reasonable price for the portion you get.
friendly staff and very good food.will definitely come back.
I found both the food and service outstanding. This was on a Saturday for lunch.
Really nice food. But one thing I like to mention on weekends don’t go without booking in advance . We had to wait for an hour because we went without booking.

Best Iranian restaurant in whole UK. Needs to have few more branches with same quality as current one is a bit far from my house. Food is fantastic, atmosphere is great. Service is good.
Being a huge fan of Persian cuisine and as it had been a very long time since I had the delicious koubidehs, I was so excited to have my birthday meal at Behesht with my family.
The restaurant is in an awkward location so it is quite a journey to get to this place but the quirky decor and the very cool interior make up for the awkward location. Upon entering the restuarant, we were led into the dining area where the smell from fresh nans and cooked meat filled the room.
Being fully aware that Persian restaurants really believe in serving generous portions we just ordered four main meals to share between the 5 of us. This also turned out to be a little too much for us.
We ordered a plate of chello kebab koubideh, chello kebab bakhtiari, chello kebab ghafghazi and special chicken. After what seemed like ages, these wonderful dishes arrived at our places. The staff initially struggled to fit these 4 dishes on our tables so that should hopefully give you an indication on just how big the portions are. All of these dishes tasted delicious however I felt that the food isn't quite upto the standards of Persian Palace and Molana based in Ealing so I do think there is some room for improvement to get the taste absolutely perfect.
The service is good and the staff were very polite on our visit. Although, I did find it a little strange that when I asked one of the staff to pack away the food that we couldnt finish during the night (which was almost half of what we had ordered - ugh the struggles of massive portions!!) we were provided with takeaway boxes so we can pack the food ourselves. Whilst not an issue at all, I hadn't experienced it before in any other restaurants so thought it was a little odd.
Overall, I do think this is a great place where you can have a nice family meal so it is definitely worth a visit. Due to the awkward location, I would be reluctant to travel specifically to dine here again but if I am in the area and craving persian food I may visit this place.
Never disappointed. I have been to Behesht quite few times, I love the food, atmosphere, and glad to say never had poor service and the prices are a lot better than many other Persian restaurants. I go to a place for food , if I was bothered about political affiliation then I would not be going to any restaurant

Excellent food from Iran. I've been there several times for family celebrations, lured by the cheap and plentiful food which makes eating out with a large group extremely economical yet fun.
The starters and mains are served in huge portions which can easily feed two people and we have always come home with doggie bags, which have provided lunch and dinner the next day. Starters are priced around £3 per dish and mains between £6 and £10.
On our last visit 5 of us shared 3 starters: Greek salad (easily enough for a main course), Salad Oliveh (potato, egg, gherkins, sweet peas, carrot, lemon juice and mayonnaise with chicken breast) and some light and fluffy fresh baked Nan bread. For main courses we had a selection of their kebabs, the special chicken (all served with rice and grilled tomatoes) and the Khoresht Bademjan (fried aubergine, diced pieces of lamb and whole dried lime cooked in a special tomato sauce served with rice).
The rice was soft and fluffy and the meat was perfectly cooked and full of flavour, and the salads were fresh and crispy.
My only grumbles are that they refuse to serve you tap water (which I believe is illegal). The waiters aren't especially friendly but the service is brisk and efficient and to be honest, they don't really have time to stop and chat when the place is that busy
Nicest friendliest waiters you could ever wish to be served by. The food is fine. Not brilliant but very generous portions and very reasonable. Make sure you go hungry.
I was at behest at the end of march on a busy friday. honestly it was a wonderful experience. we were taken to our table and served very politely. our food came smelling exquisite.
I would rate this restaurant 5 stars for quality and price,
please ignore those bad reviews ( most are based on prejudice rather than quality of food at behesht)
Heavily carpeted, gives a cosy atmosphere helped at peak times by just how busy it gets. Food quite nice, especially the bread baked from their own clay oven.
Always wanted to go because of it's unique exterior and I was NOT dissapointed. Lovingly and detailed decorated my eyes could not stop wandering around exploring. Then my meal arrived. I had chosen the cheapest of the menues. For a fiver I was treated the best kebab I have ever eaten. Sauce, meat, rice and salad... Delicious! All accompanied with a minty yoghurt drink. Perfect. I left a propped tip because I think this place can give every overpriced city places a runner!
getting to behesht was a bit of a trek. the tube had severe delays and eventually the bakerloo line delivered us to kensal green station into a less than savoury neighbourhood. but for the promise of authentic iranian cuisine by s, o and i would have been

Behesht on Harrow Road is a very popular restaurant with the London Iranian community. So popular that if you don't make a reservation on a Friday or Saturday night, you can find yourself at the end of a very long queue, which snakes out of the door. Situ
Omg their food is so tasty and price is very reasonable even on edgeware road.Had party there with friends 2 years ago and had amazing kebab and other delicious food.In the end their kawaa tea was so tasty.Their nans are so big you just start loving them.
It is hands down the best Iranian restaurant i have come across in life. The interiors are very interesting with carpets and wall hangings. You can see a bird cage in the middle with a few parrots in it. The food is delicious with amazing starters and main course food. the staff is friendly and the ambiance is chilled out.
The place offers authentic Persian food. The ambiance is colorful and vibrant. The food here is absolutely delectable and delightful. The portions are enormous, with reasonable prices. They usually give take-away boxes, to let you carry the leftovers, which is great. A must-visit for delicious food at reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend this place.
This place has excellent value for money. Although I was apprehensive at fist about being seated at a backside table near the kitchen, it worked out in our favour. The food is very generously proportioned, and taste exceptionally delicious. The setting is very authentic and genuine, and the staff offer a Persian style service that adds to the whole experience. It is a little outside of the way, but the place offers amazing value for money. It is worth a visit.
I am extremely impressed by this restaurant. The sign on the door is in Farsi, and I found this to be good sign. The bread maker threw the bread directly onto my table given its closeness to the oven, and I found this very amusing. Anyhow, when the main course arrived, it was amazing The barg was perfectly cooked and tasted brilliant. It was juicy, perfectly proportioned and melt-in-mouth. The Kobideh was equally amazing, as was the Makhsous. The yogurt was a little strained, but it was nice. This was a good experience, and I'll definitely visit again.
This place does not serve alcohol and neither allows it.The place is also pretty crowded and then the kind if efficiency you expect from them is not up to the standards.Even after booking in advance, the disorganized does not provide you seats promptly in fact you are to wait with the others.
The interiors are you standard Persian inspired and in tune with the dishes. The menu serves the famous dishes form the cuisine and the portion size are humongous .The value for money is pretty good given that the prices then charged very light on the pocket.
Do try the Momtaz and Makhsoos. Have fun!
I visited this place with my partner for a dinner date a couple of days back and had an amazing dining experience. A word of advice, book ahead and by phone as this place is swarming with hungry people on weekdays as well as weekends.
The place is exquisitely decorated with statues and trickling waterfalls. We ordered our main course which was ginormous and the two of us weren't able to finish the whole meal. The Lamb khoresh was great and was served with saffron rice. Though they don't serve alcohol, go to this place for their delicious food and the reasonable prices.
This place is very obscurely located, so it requires a bit of travel, but it's worth everything in the end. It has a very quirky and eclectic setting, and it feels excellent. The prices are actually less for the quality and size of the food that they serve here. The proportions are enormous, and you will often struggle to finish them. This is a brilliant place.
The place offers authentic Persian cuisine. The decor is beautiful with Persian artifacts and murals. The food is highly authentic and extremely delectable. Every dish that we ordered was delicious and very well prepared. The atmosphere is also very welcoming and it is a place you can go to with your entire family. Would surely recommend it for mouth-watering, authentic Persian food and a great atmosphere.
This is one of the best place in the city to have truly great tasting and original classics from Irani cuisine. However in my opinion, its sister branch is also not quite that bad ,but is significantly different mainly due to the chefs.
This is an absolutely pleasant place, with a great atmosphere and the ambiance is appropriately Persian.
For my suggestions, i would say that the special mixed kebabs and the rice both of which taste incredible. The special chicken was a beauty too!
Lovely food here with some good variety too. The setting is wonderful and lively. The service, however, is painfully slow, asked fora lemon, and the waitress took forever to get it. The crowd isn't managed well either, but the food is delightful, so would return soon.
After a series of visiting restaurants and getting disappointed I have finally found a restaurant to go to. A friend who had already visited this place asked me to check it out. On visiting them, these people served the best persian meals ever. This place wasn't overcrowded like any other but had a decent number of people sitting in there. I thoroughly recommend it.
The food served at this place is actually really delicious. I usually do not eat meat, and I detest lamb, but not the way it is served here. I cannot stop eating the food served here. It is ravishing, irresistible and very inexpensive. The service is a little sluggish, and needs to be worked on, but the food compensates for it. Also, it would be good to note that they do not serve alcohol. I really recommend this place, though.
Great place to eat with some really appetizing food on the menu. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the kebabs. The setting too is nice, the only downside being that the location isn't exactly spectacular, but the inside is nice and cozy. Will come back soon.
Are you having a craving for authentic Iranian food? If yes, then this place is your answer to a fantastic Iranian meal. The quantity served by the restaurant is large and one always leaves content with the overall experience.
With Persian ornaments decorated to give it a more classy look, this place emerges as a true winner even in terms of ambience and appeal.
This place should definitely be given a shot!
This is one of my favorite place in town. If I am looking for having great Iranian then the first place that comes to my mind is this one. The portions are pretty huge here so you will be full when you will leave this place.
The atmosphere here is also very good and same goes for the staff.
This place is surely a visit. Do make reservation when you will go because that is must.
I visited this place on a busy Friday evening. It was a delightful experience. The staff was really nice and polite. The ingredients used in their dishes were so fresh and the dishes were so full of flavor and texture.
Apart from an enticing ambiance and nicely done decor, this place does not hold much worth. The selections are few and vaguely arranged. to exemplify, they have no vegetables to offer except in starters. Again, in main course they offer lamb in almost every way they probably could cook it and no fish at all! Not much in terms of food!
The place gives a very warm feel with its heavy carpets and all. The place is jam packed during its peak times. The food is good too, the bread is freshly baked in their oven and tastes divine.A must visit but book a table early.
Located a bit off the city this place is not very easily reachable. After walking for quite a while we finally got here and had a high hopes from this place regarding the service and the food. The food was average and the service was okayish. Nothing that different about his place. It is the usual.
This restaurant offers Iranian cuisine and is so popular amongst the Iranian community that without a reservation on a weekend night, you will surely end up in a long queue outside the restaurant. This speaks itself of the delicacies this place has to offer and how satisfying and inviting this place is!
I am a regular here for the food is delicious and the portions are gigantic.
The prices are also very reasonable.
So dining at the restaurant serves our purpose of eating at next lunch as the portions cover it all.The staff is friendly. The decor is simple.I have also been here on a couple of occasions and have never been disappointed.
If you want to eat fantastic Iranian cuisine in the city, this is the place to try in my opinion. In fact ,after trying out almost all the Persian restaurant in the country, i can safely say, this is the best Iranian cooking.
The food is excellent and priced appropriately starting at 5.99 pounds. This is the only Persian restaurant i will go to from now on!
This place serves some lip smacking Persian cuisine. I always end up ordering from this place whenever i am not able to figure out what i want to eat. They have attentive online ordering service, prompt delivery and food comes really hot all the time. This is my favorite place for ordering comfort food.
Best Iranian food away from Iran. Fantastic food, sometimes a little quick in trying to clear you out after the meal.... Only to accommodate the eager eaters lining up outside.... Consistent in quality and taste
Few places better than this for Persian food, make it no surprise that it is probably the most talked about Iranian restaurant in London. The interior is very well done, each pattern is filled with intricacy and the last time I went there was even a Parrot at the entrance! The food itself is very delicious. The only drawbacks are that the dishes taste somewhat similar and the waiting time can be quite a while. Great place still.
Behesht has a lovely traditional decor and overall great ambiance. The Special Mixed Kebab is great since it has a bit of everything, namely, lamb fillet, chicken fillet, minced lamb kebab, chicken on the bone and yummy fried tomatoes. The portions are huge but the price really is great, as is the quality of the food itself! It's a family-oriented restaurant, so it's a good place to go with family or large groups. The staff are also really helpful and friendly and give good advice on what to order and how many portions.
Food was very tasty and the portions were very big. The decor was great too. My only problem was it took too long because they were extremely busy and they got the order wrong. But this is just an honest mistake as they were really busy.
Rich foods: full of flavours, big portions, freshly made. Service could be better: I felt uncomfortable at times like if we were being watched. Too many artifacts which gather dust. Good prices.
Fantastic food, excellent service and a wonderful atmosphere. The portions are massive so definitely enough to share if you're not a big eater. If you're going at the weekend make sure you book!
I like this place.. have been visiting for years now.. never disappointed..
Venue maybe narrow and quiet small when busy yet clean and never warm.. which is great..
Food is delicious, freshly served..
Prices are reasonable..
Service is good..
I would definitely recommended if you want to try Irani food..
My colleague to us out for dinner to Behesht in Kensal Green. We tried the paneer sabzi, the Mirza Ghasemi, 3 different Kebab plates (two chicken and a lamb) and a jug of Yoghurt drink. The portions are HUGE, the kebabs are great and the Naan bread is the best most fluffiest bread I’ve ever had in my life! Highly recommended.
Excellent food, value, and service. Staff are lovely and attentive, often served reasonably fast. I have been here several times and have had a good experience. The decoration is quite authentic. Highly recommend it, especially if you visit on Fridays for uniquely served dishes!
Really nice and wholesome restaurant, the decor is sooo nice and really gives an authentic feel.
The platter served reallyyy fresh, juicy and buttery meat/chicken!!! 🍖
Decent service and prices too!!! visit visit visit !!!!!
Outside & on entry this place feels/looks like you’re back at home (Iran), beautiful & proper old school decor! Food was amazing & staff were exceptional, prices are good too! Book in advance as this place gets very very busy! I’ll be back again for sure! Thanks guys 👊🏾🍽️😋
We visited it for an iftar dinner, we were 3 families in total. We booked in advance as it was too busy. The food was good, we ordered a mixed grill, drinks, starters, tea and naans. Naans were super tasty but the grill platter needs little improvement in flavours.
The rest we enjoyed a lot. A very small prayer area and WC is available inside.
Behesht is a gem of a Persian restaurant. The ambiance is gorgeous, and the food is simply amazing. Surprisingly affordable too. A must-visit for Persian cuisine enthusiasts!
I haven't been to Behesht in a while, but after a revisit after a very long time while inviting friends over, I was seriously glad to have visited Behesht. The food took a little bit longer than normal, but I was with my friends so I didn't mind too much, but as soon as the food was served, I forgot about the length of time it took. The food was cooked to near perfection and the service was great, each section has it's dedicated waiters, so it was convenient. The atmosphere was amazing and you know what, as I'm currently hungry, I have decided to go again today 😁😁😁
I went to Behesht last weekend with my husband and it was really good. The restaurant is really nice and it was very busy which is always a good sign. The waiters were friendly and very professional. They were a bit slow off the mark and I gave them this as feedback at the end of my meal. My husband had been using this restaurant for over 10 years and he tells me the food is always excellent. I could not fault their food or service, the kebabs were some of the best, especially the koobideh, it was dripping in flavours. Amazing! We had the salad olivieh, naan bread, the kebab platter, doogh and some juices. Everything was great. Thank you Behesht. My husband used to go here with his Iranian friend Alahn.
Amazing restaurant, I loved the interior :)
The staff are really friendly and helpful, The food is ok and you will be surprised at how big the portions are :D almost everyone goes out with a take away box :D
Amazing food and vibe customer services was beyond expectations
Very nice atmosphere, large portions vs price. Visit them if you want to feel like in Iran.
Indian subcontinental ppl may find the food a little bland. I'd say stick with the kebabs etc.
