This pub has been completely refurbished and is now owned by new owners! What a change...... A fabulous new pub with a lovely ambiance. My mum and I had a wonderful couple of drinks and bar snacks here today and I found the place to be an excellent addition to Stroud Green. Lovely traditional decour, comfortable seating, good size restaurant, excellent food, lovely polite and helpful staff and a good range of drinks at reasonable prices. I highly recommend this place and I look forward to returning. Well done to the new owners.... What a transformation! I wish your business every success xxx ❤️

I had a burger and it was delicious! I try to recall when was the last time I’ve had as good as this one. A person who made one for me in White Lion is the best chef!!!
Warm welcome, cosy relaxed atmosphere, great beer, enticing menu... settled down for food and a few drinks and barely had to leave our table in 4 hours; bar staff were fantastic and just knew when to pop over to see if we wanted more drinks etc... great pub! �
We were drawn here because a) it was hot and we "needed" a drink and b) the brewery name (Nicholson) is our name. Met a lovely couple from Perth with whom we had a good chat. Good atmosphere, lovely staff
Travelled down from Stoke on Trent to visit friends and decided to head to The White Lion to watch the England Rugby match.
Really friendly service, excellent selection of drinks and food was great.

Popped in the other evening after a long day. Not quite hungry enough for a main meal, we opted to share a selection of small plates (they do the best hummus). We've eaten here many times, and the food is always cooked to perfection - we love their burgers, steaks and Sunday roasts. The pub is clean, spacious, and the staff are super friendly - we couldn't ask for a better local!
White Lion pubs have a bad rep in general, but this one bucks the trend.
Great service, staff and the food and drink offer is on point.

Cracking pub a short walk from Finsbury Park station. Has indoor and outdoor seating, a decent range of beers on tap, and staff that know how to pour a good pint of Guinness.
Food is lovely, quality ingredients and well priced considering the portion sizes. Still dreaming about their cheesy chips.
Nice pub on the main road which is a great all rounder. The food and drink is reasonably priced, especially the one real ale on cask, wine and the well kept Guinness. Stays open a little later than most in the area, has music on a Saturday and decent seating outside. Bar staff are very chatty and friendly. One slight oddity is that on occasion you wait to be seated which seems an unnecessary step for a pub that shows which tables have been reserved and if you're just popping in for a couple pints.
Stumbled across this place by accident a few months ago so glad we did. Atmosphere is so chilled fantastic service Hugo and Sam thanks for attentive service and making us feel welcome.

Grand pub. Nice staff. Really nice. But there’s so many better older pubs in the area. Edit as felt bad when I realised I gave it 4. It’s the best newer pub in the area. Look forward to giving it the 5 in like 15 years. Needs that patina of too many hammered nights to count.
The food was excellent and the service was amazing. They cared about my allergies. It was a great place to chill out with friends and family

Sunday roast is incredible, one of the best I’ve had in London. Decent portions. Lovely veggie option. In general, a great pub with lovely staff

One of the best Sunday roasts I’ve had in London. No scrimping on the roast potatoes here. Really friendly staff who were very welcoming and a pub with a great atmosphere.
Best local in Finsbury Park, great staff, delicious food, lovely cocktails and a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Lovely for family celebrations, and dogs are also welcome.
Excellent pub - great, interesting food and a good selection of drinks available. Very friendly staff and a brilliant overall atmosphere.
The staff were lovely and the food was great, but the toilets could really do with some attention. Updated to clarify: toilets themselves were tidy but one door didn't close properly, another toilet was very difficult to flush.
Came in on Tuesday to do the quiz - Had an amazing time, unfortunately we didn't win!
The bartender who looks like Harry Potter was amazing.
Lovely food, had the steak and it was delicious, good portion sizes as well. The staff were very friendly and polite. Hope to swing by again should I be in the area.
Considering this is two converted retail frontage, they have actually done a very good job with it! Nice, relaxing brick and wood interior, decent beer, little bit of space out front - makes it a nice option for when you are in Stroud Green/FP
