Maybe it was a bad day, and we still had a nice time and the servers were nice, but service was pretty slow and the food was a mix of really nice and disappointing.
Staff were friendly and the drinks were good, the nibbles were great.
We tried the tuna, plaice, chicken and sides. All of the sides were really nice and the plaice was really good quality, would recommend. But the tuna was a little underdone for us, maybe it's a preference, but the chicken was also bit underwhelming too.
We were offered some drinks as we were celebrating a birthday, and to reiterate staff were really nice, but the service was just taking a while to get round.
I cannot describe how beautiful and romantic it was their private rooftop.. It's cozy, warm, and stunning. I fell in love once more with my boyfriend because of their rooftop. We watched the movie called "A star is born" and it's just was like a dream. Only downside is just a bit cold (it wasn't a problem for us they gave blankets) but popcorns got cold very quick. Loved the tasting menu too, iberico pork was my favorite.
I loved this place. The food and vibes were great. It is so homely and classy inside. I would definitely go back! This is such a hidden gem!
I work 5 minutes away from this place, so whenever I am craving good quality lunch and can spend a bit more money on it, I'd come here. Loving the take-away lunch boxes of protein + 3 salads for £13. The food is always delicious and fresh, and staff are very friendly. The place looks great to sit down for a bite, too. Would recommend to anyone in the area!
Overall the best vibes I've ever experienced! The food is heaven! I ate some chicken and my sister ordered salad. The salad had to be changed because of the amount of vinegar (not kitchen's fault, but our taste!), but the situation was handled very well! The Sherlock Pipe drink was amazing! Definitely worth trying, if you can stand the strengh of this drink. Special thanks to Geraldo (hopefully got his name right), who served us tonight! Amazing and friendly service! The place was busy, but we never had to wait! By the end: Kitchen at Holmes is expected to be "Sherlock Holmsy" and so it is: cozy, delicious and atmospheric.
A really lovely experience and customer service is exceptional, really liked the staff and they were super helpful.
The food is slightly pricey in terms of money for Value but worth the experience and tastes delicious. I would recommend the Sherlock Pipe.
What an amazing experience in that beautiful place. Fancy , sophisticated and friendly atmosphere.
I really appreciated the service of Fabio and his staff . Fabio took care of every detail during our stay in the restaurant with high professionally.
I really recommend going to visit this place.
Many thanks to Stefania for her special and unique service.
See you very soon !
Last minute visit after a quick search for a relaxed place for an evening drink around Baker Street. The staff was adorable - extremely polite and helpful. Our beer was chilled to perfection and shared snack board was magnificent!!
Ambience was very nice.
Service bit slow but location right at point.
Lovely little spot, popped in for cocktails and dessert. Great ice cream, service was a bit slow but the staff were nice. Lovely atmosphere too, very chilled and relaxed.
I booked this venue for a champagne brunch reception ten years ago today. Popped back for the mems!
Friendly staff and nice breakfast but no alcohol before midday under their licence.
One review with no name and no comments has given this restaurant a 1 star feedback! In my opinion this restaurant deserves SIX stars.
One issue that I have noticed with reviews is that most people read them, “after the event”. The second problem is what I would call “expectations”! If you are used to eat at your local fish-and-chips, kebab, pizza place or restaurant, this is not the place for you. I have read negative comments left by clients on superb restaurants only because customers didn’t have a clue about food.
Location is excellent; central London just 2 minutes from Baker Street station. Décor is elegant and part of the experience. The kitchen is open plan and one can view what the chefs are doing. Service is smart and competent. Almost impossible to find any faults for this place and the exquisite dishes.
We tried nine different dishes and all delightful. Prawns + scallops + tuna carpaccio, Tempura aubergines, fresh sole, Wagyu beef, courgettes strips and more.
The Wagyu beef might have not been one of the best that I have eaten but it was very well cooked and tender. Important to remember that there are different grades of Wagyu beef and some are charged at £200+ per 100grams.
Overall, it remained a fantastic meal. Ideal location for romantic dinner, friends or business group.
Such a comfortable place to have wine/dinner after work, go with friends or even a date, and relax. Interiors feel very generous and calming, as if you were in your own living room, but with a nicely darkened/more private ambience. I’d only suggest way-finding strategy/signs is improved to better indicate where the toilets are located. I think most staff speak Italian as well which is great👌🏻
A lovely place to grab a drink with friends, the service is delightful as well. We only ordered drinks but got offered free snacks. It’s really adorable. Highly recommended!
The breakfast was alright but the service was average🙁 no good morning etc.! Definitely not a “chilled” place to have breakfast, it’s more for 💰🤝🏻🤤
“Chanterelle and sweet potatoes” was made with what appeared to be beech mushrooms. I was expecting better. Some mixups with dishes that the waiter corrected and didn’t charge us for. Otherwise it was alright. Quite tasty!
We had a delightful late lunch! The flavors were wonderful and great healthy choices. We were a larger group and the servers easily took care of all of our requests.
