Great tasting food everytime! Best Indian Cuisine in London. Great service from friendly waiters. Cannot fault it. Go try for yourself. You will not be dissapointed!
What a meal,I've had some Indian food back in Peterborough, but this meal was fantastic, the service was second to none,I will definitely be going again in the new year.
Delicious food. I have eaten several time. Home cooked Lamb Bhuna what a tasty dish. I recommended to all.
The food is delicious. Great service. Reasonable prices. We are regulars.
Lovely dinner out with the girls. Food was lovely and service quick and friendly. Both meat-eaters and veggies had tasty meals. A little bit full now... Shall be back soon! Thanks

Simply the best! Thank you! The delivery was punctual and very polite with a bright smile to match.
Excellent food,fabulous service & a lovely restaurant.
Amazing restaurant with wonderful staff!! Delicious delicious delicious.
Just been there with my wife, top quality food I must say. Reasonably priced as well for a restaurant that is on Camden High Street. Spent just over £30 between the two of us and we had a great time. The staff there are so genuine, they make you feel comfortable and have a laugh with us. Definitely recommend Camden Maharani. The only issue we had was parking but found parking round the back. Excellent Food, Great Service, Overall a Lovely Indian Restaurant.
Have been using Maharani Restaurant to order take-away for just under two years. Their menu selection is great, the food is hot and is made with tasty fresh ingredients. Favourites on the menu are Bhindi Bhajee, Chana Bhajee and saffron rice. Thanks for excellent food.
Best saag paneer- creamy, a touch of sweetness and delicious. Love their pasanda and fish really nice. They have a couple of unique curries that I really like. Worth a visit or two. Close to Camden Town & Odeon.
Love it! Has a restuarant feel to it & the food is a cut above the usual "meat bhuna" fare, & it doesn't disappoint. £30 for two inc. Wine. Highly recommend
We had a party for 30 people and the food served was amazing.
We had Pappadums, chutneys and salads for appetisers, followed by Fish Cutlets, Vegetable Beetroot Croquettes for starters. Then arrived the Mutton Kosha, Alu Gobi and Yellow Dal Tadka for Mains with Pulao rice and Naans. We finished with Nolen Gurer Sondesh, a Bengali dessert.
Professional service and a great chef serving good food while located just within a 5 min walk from Camden tube station.
Interior looks a bit tacky, but the food was great. After asking about the menu, we could customize pretty much all dishes. We had vindaloo added to several dishes which turned out amazing. Highly recommended.
We ordered the jalfrezzi and chicken naga. Honestly, the best curry I’ve eaten in ages. The curry was as hot as I’d hoped and the service was excellent.
Make sure you eat here
Wonderful food, enjoyed every mouthful. Very fresh, highly recommend 👌
We were regular customers 20 years ago and went last week when we saw it was open. Same owner and chef and it was delicious! Loved it and will be back again!
I cant believe I have only visited this place now, after living in the area for a five years. The food was so nice! Full of flavour. The menu was great too. Had many seafood dishes and was reasonably priced too. Staff was attentitive and helpful. Bathroom was sparkling clean. Will definetly be back soon.
Not very imposing from the outside but once inside the food and service was excellent. If you want alcohol maybe ask if you can take your own as not available during our visit.
We went there last week and it was just as great as I remembered from many years ago. I can’t find a better pickled lime chutney anywhere in the world!
Very accomodating and great food. Would recommend for large groups!
Good curry! Great service. I’m vegan but they were very helpful and made me everything I wanted without ghee etc. Bit too full to write more. Enjoy!
Had the chicken tikka masala. A little too sweet and a little too coconut for my taste.
The takeaway service is phenomenal, can't wait till the restaurant is refurbished for some more formal dining. Best curry still to this day! Since early 00's when I moved to Camden so many curry houses have come and gone only the best remain for a reason.
Cheers
Mike
I could have missed this place, had it not been recommended by a friend and influential member of the local community. I'm so glad that I did not. Very welcoming and accommodating staff. It is Bangladeshi if I am not mistaken. A Wonderful variety of food on the menu, with twists perhaps unknown to the less well initiated. If you are in Camden and looking to try something new, head towards Mornington crescent and I promise you will not be disappointed. Good sized portions, and good prices. I went with a large group in the afternoon and not one of us left hungry or unsatisfied. I'm not too local any more, but I'm looking for an excuse to go back!
The food was absolutely amazing! Tasted great! Definitely recommend the food to people who like Indian cuisine. The service was 10/10. The waiters were very polite and friendly. I had a great time at Maharani and cannot wait until my next visit to this fabulous restaurant. The atmosphere there is amazing! If you are looking for a restaurant to eat but also have a laugh over a few drinks with friends or family, Maharani in Camden is the place to go!
Granted I haven't been here for years but am pleased to see other reviews validate that this would still be my favorite Indian restaurant in London. Staff was always welcoming. I was at college and when we had to go back home they made our "last supper " into a family celebration. I still dream about finding naan as good as theirs. I set my Indian restaurant standards by all of my perfect meals here. Yes it's not on your usual tourist path but take the tube transfers to Camden Town and enjoy.
First time visiting Maharani as I was recommended by a friend. We went in a group of 14. The staff are so well mannered and always ensure that you are alright. They are always there if you need anything. I love a good Indian! Maharani in Camden is definitely a place to visit if you are ever in town! Amazing location as well. Right on the High Street!
Amazing Food, Amazing Service and an Amazing atmosphere. They even let us choose the music we would like to listen to which most Indian restaurants don't let you.
Cant wait to go again!
One of the best Indian restaurants I know. I am from Germany and visit my daughter in Camden regularly. The appetizers were excellent especially the tandoori chicken a treat. The mains very yummy, the meat great marinated. For desserts there was no room in the stomach. Priced a bit more expensive than in Germany but cheap for London I think. Also on the next visit the restaurant is back on the list.
