Sat at the bar and watched the chefs cut the fish expertly and make our delectable sushi and Makis. Great place for a quick meal. I like that it’s in the food hall with all the scrumptious cakes and pastries nearby

The best noodles and wonton soup I have had in a really long time. I love the food court in Harrods and this is my favorite quick asian meal. The food is 5+ the sitting is a bit uncomfortable but its totally worth it ! A must visit!

Very fresh, fatty tuna that MELTS in the mouth. For such a buttery quality, it doesn't come cheap too. Harrod's Specials (£25.80each). Fresh snow crab, avocado, spicy mayo, seared scallops topped with caviar and spring onions. I thought the ingredients used were not particular interesting - the snow crab was chopped so small you're not even sure if those are snow crab or not. Nevertheless, the combination of everything makes it taste good. The spicy mayo, is not spicy at all, just a hint of it.

I never love eating sushi... until my sister and brother in law brought me in Harrods.

I never enjoyed sushis in Dubai, and i didn't expect that i will have the best sushi experience of my life during my holiday here in the UK..

The duck salad with watermelon is awesome too... and wagyu is superb!! Wagyu is wagyu

Back when I lived in New York, I would go out to eat sushi around once a week. It would be a ritual I had with my mom – the one thing we would schedule in consistently, when I would be swamped with school and extracurriculars and she was busy with work. We would catch up and chew the fat(ty tuna) – and even though we did it every week, it always felt special, and like a treat.

Good deal, visually appealing dishes. Exquisite service. High prices, perhaps above experience. The space is also very appealing Offer of wines by glass varied, expensive, but without seducing.

There’s something about eating at Japanese sushi bars that’s quite like no other. It’s comparable to having the best seats in a theatre, with your sushi chef taking centre stage. Each slice of fish, each gentle stroke of the knife, each brush of soy commands such respect and attention. And the ingredients laid out in front are more than than mere props, but stars of the show as well. It’s raw (no pun intended) artistry in its right.

There’s something rather unbeatable about the combination of sushi and shopping, especially when both happen to take place in the hallowed grounds of Harrods…. Although I’ve often passed by Pan Chai, it’s almost always been in the midst of a frenzied afternoon running errands in the department store’s gargantuan Food Hall.

I think I may have to move into Harrods soon. I was dining at Mango Tree last month, Chai Wu the other week and Pan Chai this week. I even had an afternoon tea here in-between it all, a glass of Champagne in The Champagne Bar – oh and two food shops. Some of those beds on the third floor look very comfy indeed. Sadly with no invite (yet) offering me in-house full-time accommodation, I’m settling on my recent visit to Pan Chai. A beautiful Pan-Asian restaurant on the ground floor in the Harrods Food Hall.

I’ve always liked the food halls at Harrods.  A fantasy land of fine foods, groceries fit for a Princess and some of the nicest chocolates in the world.  The addition of a few, select dining opportunities only adds to the experience for me.  I’ve already tried Mango Tree and had my eye on Pan Chai, the South-East Asian restaurant opposite.

Who knew there was a lovely little Japanese restaurant hiding inside Harrods?! I certainly didn't until I was invited to go and check out Pan Chai recently. I thought it was going to be a restaurant "proper" but it's more of a sushi bar on the ground floor, nestled behind the food court. You sit right up at the counter and watch the chefs slice and dice the fish with such great precision. I took Hana with me to try some of the dishes - I've mentioned Hana before as she's one of A Little Lusciousness team for cooking events and pop ups, and I wanted to treat her as she's supported me from nearly the beginning of my cooking ventures. We wanted to try a range of the menu, which offers sashimi, sushi, salads, grill, tempura and ramen, so started off with some of the Pan Chai signature sushi rolls - the Black Dragon roll, made with tiger prawn tempura, cucumber and avocado, and topped with caviar and unagi sauce. The rolls were perfectly made with just the right amount of filling, sweet sticky sauce and salty caviar to balance them out. A great start....

Even with halal restaurants becoming more prevalent, it can still be difficult to discover halal eateries that offer something a little out of the ordinary, a certain je ne sais quoi that leaves a lasting impression.

How would your significant other respond if you told them you were headed to Harrods after work on Friday, and they would be coming with you? Some lucky ladies and gents might have received an enthusiastic nod of agreement but nope, not me. I’d settle for a ‘yeah, sure’ shrug, but instead got the ‘you’re on your own there’ smirk. And people think I’m the harsh one.

I firmly believe that even the small things in life deserve to be celebrated. It's not a hugely exciting time for Andy and I at the moment as exams are on the horizon, but we took a chance to celebrate the little things last week over an incredible meal at Pan Chai at Harrods. I had my first minor exam last Monday and Andy has recently changed things up a little at work and well, any excuse for a date night! Pan Chai is a Pan-Asian restaurant located in the heart of the Harrods Food Halls which opened in 2012. It serves a range of delicious fresh, vibrant dishes that were created by Executive Head Chef Ian Pengelley, whose delights I recently sampled at House of Ho.

Sushi bar in Harrods with an exorbitant price tag. We had sake, a sushi roll and one piece of otoro which came up to £53. Honestly extremely overpriced... Nevertheless, the roll was alright, the otoro melts in the mouth. The food was typically alright but just be prepared to pay for overpriced food...

Every time I'm in Harrods and hungry I stop by for some sushi rolls and green tea! The Harrods Special and Black Dragon are my favourite and worth the price as there are some of the best sushi in London! Little minus, it can be sometimes a bit cold and closest ladies bathrooms are on the next floor level. Nevertheless the quality of the food and presentation are fantastic!!

Took clients and we sat at the bar for sushi and sashimi. Interesting menu and fresh preparation. Mostly traditional but a fusion element as might be expected for such a great location. Recommended
