Incredible food, the tastes from both the kid goat kofta wrap and the roast veal salad bowl were fantastic. It was beautifully presented with the utmost care by the young blonde lady who served us. The care she took preparing everything gives total confidence that every aspect of the stall was 110%.

Borough Market traders, Gourmet Goat, just got a more gourmet and less goaty with the introduction of a new meat on the menu: rose veal. High-welfare British rose veal is now on offer at Gourmet Goat, winners of “Best Street Food Trader or Takeaway” at the recent 2016 BBC Food & Farming Awards. As is the case with Gourmet Goat specialty, kid goat meat, the veal is sourced from ethical dairy farms to reduce food waste and curb at-birth culling of thousands of dairy bull calves that can’t be reared for milk production.

After years of trading just within the perimeter of Borough Market, kid goat meat vendor, Gourmet Goat, has upgraded to a fixed outlet inside the market. I paid a visit, dabbled my way through the menu and walked away keen to sing the praises of their kid goat creations. It’s not just me taking notice of these slow food heroes though. The longtime street food purveyor was recently announced as one of three finalists for Best Street Food or Takeaway in this year’s BBC Food and Farming Awards.

After walking around circles in Borough Market, we decided to try the goat and veal bulgur pilaf. I have not really tried Mediterranean food before but it was so delicious! This was a good spot for a quick lunch

I went here to try the goat kofta bread. I liked it very much. I also tried the haloumi fries and they were also great. I recommend trying it.

friendly service, nice kebab! Quite loose in terms of binding but the meat itself wasn’t chewy at all which was good

Gourmet Goat has been on my list of places to try for a while. The kid goat kofte came highly recommended, so that's what I opted for. The meat was tender with a nice mix of spices and onion and was complimented by the tzatziki and chili salsa. I opted for the Mediterranean slaw and chickpea salad as sides. Both were light and filling and I would be hard-pressed to name a favourite. The rose veal dish also sounded nice, so I'll be trying that next time.

Soo yummy and filling! Had the rice box and got a pita on the side. The meat is nice and tender, everything else is fantastic too. There is always a queue so try and get there a bit early.

Rediscovered this little gem recently, 6-7 years after my last visit. Back then it was a street food cart, now it is permanently located inside the market with its own seating area. The menu has changed a bit but hands down it definitely lives up to memory. Absolutely great food, friendly staff and fab location. I definitely recommend a trip there.

Just perfect street food. Free range kofta and veal were awesome. Expensive but worth to try and to come again.

First time trying this place for lunch, wasn't disappointed! Had the spicy goat kebab in bread wrap with nice parsley/mint and yoghurt sauces with a bottle of Greek beer to wash it down. Nice place to chill and chat in the shade on a hot day.
