Went here on recommendation of my son while I was working in London. The staff made me feel welcome and were very efficient. I sat at a table on the pavement and enjoyed watching the world go by. My Peroni was cold and tasty, but the fresh olives were the star of the day! Simply the best olives I have ever tasted. My pizza was fantastic, truly "Picante" but also very authentic in taste and texture. I didn't have desert but enjoyed another Peroni and a couple of vodka cokes just to soak up the atmosphere having moved inside.
When my son joined me, at ten, he enjoyed his pizza and before we realised it midnight came. The staff continued to be hospitable and friendly to the very end.
Proper italian food. The waitress was very attentive. After the renovation the prices were not incresed even though the restaurant now looks posher. The best restaurant in that area !!
I'be been there many times and it becomes my favorite italian restaurant. Service is really fast and staff is so smiling. I would recommend it.
Great place to enjoy tasty food and great drinks....the best Italian restaurant in London!!!
Family friendly with fabulous food served by friendly staff in a relaxed atmosphere!
Went here yesterday, one thing : perfect !
Other thing : waiter really cool / waitress : beautiful & cool
I really enjoyed an authentic Italian experienced at Venerdi, as soon I came through the door I was met by friendly staff. The food was great and the atmosphere was Amazing. I'm already planning to go back there with my sister.....
Beautiful, beautiful food, amazing service, beautifully and tastefully renovated. One of the best Italian restaurants in London.
Thanks to the staff at Hatch for the dinner recommendation! Best proper pizza we've had outside of Italy & all the dishes coming out looked amazing. Beppe was a kind & helpful host. Our server Chiara was brilliant, smiling and attentive even on a bustling Saturday night. We'll be back most definitely next month...in fact our son's have summoned us to eat here every night of our next visit!

Delicious fresh food in a great atmosphere. What else would you expect in Chatsworth Road, Hackney. Enjoy. Have been several times before and after the revamp and happy to see it still is great for families, couples, friends, anyone. The staff are great too.

Fantastica accoglienza e senza dubbio I migliori amici con cui trascorrere delle serate stupende!!!
Really lovely pizza. Good vegetarian options. Very family friendly and nice accommodating staff. Had to take pizza home as very full. Garlic bread and Clapton pizza my recommendations
Fresh food, great atmosphere, friendly staff. More than just a pizza...
We were so lucky to find this lovely restaurant in Hackney . The food I had, exceeded all expectations, the best I had for long time and the fact that on a Monday night we had to wait for a table suggests that it is popular restaurant for a reason.
We'd a lovely evening in Venerdi, the food was delicious, as were the cocktails. The chicken pasta in the creamy sauce was so tasty, my husband said pizza was excellent.
The staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive. Would highly recommend and will definitely eat there again,
Iv been visiting London for work and ate here 6+ times and enjoyed every bite. Iv ate in and over delivery apps all have been so amazing and high quality. The staff is attentive and professional and more so very kind. I have not ate a meal I did not enjoy. Highly recommend and worth every single dollar!! It’s been my go to as a Hackney local. Do not miss out on their unbeatable happy hour and Tuesday specials. They do not get the recognition they deserve.
I went here for lunch with my partner and the food here was great. Service was friendly, helpful and efficient. Food was of the highest quality and very delicious. I really enjoyed this restaurant. I will come again for dinner one night.
Excellent pizza, thin and delicious. Good choice of wine, cocktails and starters. Highly recommended!
The right place if you want to taste the real Italian food!!
Handmade pasta, good variety of choices and super friendly staff! Would definitely recommend! Hope to come back soon and try their pizza 🍕
A must pick its their handmade Tiramisu, that was amazing!
Had a lovely meal with Clams and spaghetti. Was absolutely delicious! And the service was outstanding! I took a photo of my meal and shared it and my friend who saw the pic is at my house tonight ordering the same meal I had a on Friday. I know she'll love it and will surely write a review too!
Had pizza here with some friends and really enjoyed the food. All the pizzas we tried were delicious. It was a nice evening and we were able to sit outside and enjoy some wine with our food. The atmosphere was nice and chill as the restaurant was quiet. I've deducted a couple of stars for service as it seemed as if we'd visited on a training day as the waiting staff were being heavily directed by someone more senior. For example, the staff were prioritising clearing an empty table before we had been offered a menu for food or drink. They were soon redirected to us so no harm was done. I'd definitely go back in future as it was a really nice meal.
We loved Venerdi. We didn't have a great deal of time as we were going to a gig at moth club, but the service was excellent. The food was delicious. Next time we hope to stay for 3 courses and a bottle of wine. The only issue was it was very dark in the restaurant, I had to use my phone torch to read the menu.
Love this place. Popped in a Tuesday and had one pizza, a green salad and an baked aubergine starter, with 3 glasses of wine and som sparkling water. All for £55 (30% off on Tues, see?). We thought a bargain. More than enough food for 2. Friendly service. Nice ambience and interior. Very nice.
We had a wonderful evening at Vernerdi's for NYE. All the food was delicious and tasted very fresh, we also had a lovely glass of white wine (we are usually quite picky about wine!) The set menu was £49pp which included a glass of champagne, and we felt it was good value for money. All the staff were very friendly and professional. Thank you especially to Angela, our waitress. We'll be back very soon!
The last time I was here I think the restaurant was under different, management but the food still tastes really good. Their waiters weren't the friendliest, but they weren't rude or dismissive either so maybe it was just a long day. The menu is vast with a lot of vegetarian options. I ordered the lobster pasta with a glass of wine and it all tasted really good; the price was very reasonable. They also sell some Italian snacks that are not readily available elsewhere in London.
Great pizza, nice drink, friendly service
Had a very nice lunch here in a Sunday around noon. Good food overall, solid value, ample portions. We had meatballs with bread, a bread basket, fried zucchini, Margherita pizza and child had penne pomodoro. Everything was tasty. Friendly staff. Was great that they have a kids menu. All but one of the tables had kids so this is certainly a place that gets that kind of clientele for lunch at least. Friendly staff. I would happily come back for another meal here.
Gorgeous Italian a few minutes walk from Homerton station. Good variety on menu that is seasonal and lovely cocktails.
My daughter ordered a kids' pizza and it came with bunny ears which made her day 🐰 otherwise the meals are definitely authentic Italian.
Can't wait to go back!
lovely atmosphere, food was flavourful and the portions are adequate. i got a seafood risotto, the cocktails are also really well made compared to other places i’ve visited. staff was welcoming and we had no problems :)
Been here a couple ✌🏽 times now and the food has always been Spot on! 🎯
I wanna say it's kinda pricey, cause it kinda is! ...BUT I know the ends ain't what they used to be, since white folk and money moved in, So I won't!! 🤫🤔😁
But Regardless, the pricey food & drinks were on point! 😁💯 and I'll defooo be back, and would defoo recommend it to others too! 💯🏅
Went back to one of my favourite restaurants today and Venerdi did not disappoint. Staff are friendly and welcoming and food is just amazing. I definitely recommend paying this Italian restaurant a visit. The free prosecco for my mums birthday was a beautiful gesture and really put a smile on my mums face
I really liked it here, for dinner especially the atmosphere is really nice - from their funky lighting to the rustic furniture. The service here is friendly and fast, the food generally delicious - I especially liked the trilogy pasta, where you try a small portion of three pasta dishes. The focaccia starter wasn't great though, it was pretty much just a plain pizza. The cost is mid-range. At around £30 per person including an alcoholic drink, starter and service.
The bad points for me was the overly loud music (really not necessary given how pleasantly busy it was), and the annoying table legs so the chairs don't fit properly underneath. Overall though, these are pretty minor and I really liked it - I'll definitely be back!
