Great seating indoors with nice benches, great for a pop in. The food menu looked excellent.
Coffee is very good overall, well balanced, and not over / under extracted. My oat cortado was £2.85 and my second £3.25? Not sure why

We stayed next door at the premier inn and has breakfast here each day. Nice light breakfasts, sourdough bread, egg and bacon rolls. They also have freshly squeezed juices. Cafe has a nice modern feel and staffed well. Would recommend
Lovely little gem of a place. Decent amount of seating for a London cafe. Healthy light food options and good coffee. Best balance of offerings I've found in this part of the city. Especially when staying at the Premier Inn next door - much better than the standard buffet breakfast on offer there and no more expensive.

This was my first time at 21 West, I spotted it yesterday as I was in the area to accompany a relative to St Barts Hospital. Going inside it was so spacious and really had a chilled vibe, very welcoming and I got chatting with the lovely barista who was such a delight to connect with, she wished my relative well given the reason they had to go into hospital, and entertained my aesthetic driven need to get the perfect coffee shot! I ended up buying an iced latte which was DELICIOUS, very refreshing and mellow but with enough punch to gradually wake you up, and two apple danishes which were demolished later in the day alongside a ginger beer, lemonade, and elderflower fizz, honestly I was SO happy to have come across this delightful little space. The toilet was easy to find and sanitisers were made available, as was outside seating and spaced out indoor seating. I sat outside with my coffee and a book and it was truly one of the nicest mornings I’ve had in some time. Thank you for being so lovely and wonderful and genuinely welcoming. Can’t wait to come back!

Went for a coffee. Nice coffee and friendly staff, unfortunately not the most comfortable of seats for me personally. I can’t comment on the food, but what I saw did look good. Will go back and try.

This is truly a gem in Smithfield’s. My wife and I have been visiting for a number of years after our hospital visits at St. Bart’s. They serve wonderful coffee, great brioche rolls and the big breakfast is also terrific. Lovely staff and attentive service makes for a great start to the day. Covid put a dampener on things but they are now back and at their best again!
I was drawn into this place from the avocado and poached egg on toast. It is refreshing to find such healthy high quality food that is prepared so quickly in the London morning rush. If you're looking to sit in and grab a table, the service is quick and friendly - but also food and coffee can be taken to go.
