This is a great bar and restaurant. Yes, it's right on the river so ideal for summer but I really love this place on a winter's day. It's a lot quieter and you can share a bottle of red looking out at the Thames next to a roaring fire. Staff are great and you have to check out the charcuterie select

This spacious pub is in a beautiful building right by the Thames, so has nice views and a comfortable feel. They offer a nice selection of beers on draught, including some from the Franciscan Well brewery which was a very pleasant surprise to find.
Been there a few times now and really enjoyed it. Its situated right on the river with great views and if you are a gin fan like i am you can find some great ones here. Had food too which was excellent. Well worth a visit.
Good range of beers and great range of wine. Fantastic river views. Nice charcuterie walk- in fridge. Stylish decor and never too busy or noisy.
Great selection of wines served either in bottles or by the glass through the Stars bespoke draught system which adds just the right amount of oxygen and heats or cools the wine to the perfect temperature. Brilliant venue for a London, riverside venue! All details covered to keep guests happy and the upstairs venue room is historically gorgeous. The bar prices are rather eye-watering though. Even for London.
Great views of the river and a really "fine" wine selection, they take it very seriously. The saying life's to short for bad wine is so true, treat yourself to a good one :) Also have a great Ballroom for hire above, and a basement bar that does FREE comedy on Tuesdays and wednesdays.

An excellent, classy but somehow similarly unpretentious bar venue on the riverfront in Putney. I can recommend The Star and Garter for anyone who needs a classy environment whilst being able to hear themselves think, be it a party or a date, a business meeting or anything else the customer requires
