We work very close to night ward and it's never failed us. Burgers, amazing, honestly some of the best burgers I have had in Europe and maybe the best I have had in London for sure. Says... a lot coming from an American. The all you can eat wings on Tuesdays and Wednesdays is a MUST.... so good. As close as you get to American wings.. Not a great wine selection, however they make up for it with great service Julija is the best. Hope I spelled that right...

Great beers, good food and brilliant staff. If you fancy a beer and a burger no better place.

Brilliant night out - if you love great (really great) cocktails and gourmet junk food, this is the place to go. Also the decor is a-m-a-z-i-n-g

Ninth Ward is a 'hipster' New Orleans style bar and restaurant specialising in burgers and fried chicken with a great selection of beers and ciders, all from independent London breweries. The atmosphere is vibey with big pre-reserved tables and mellow rock background music. I had a 'Pressure Drop' beer called Wu Gang Chops The Tree. The original brewing idea was to combine the flavours of wheat beer - clove, bread and banana, with some foraged herbs to create a beer that would go well with chicken. I really liked it! It was experimental, in keeping with the small Hackney brewery's ideology. For food we had fried chicken burgers and a side of dirty fries. The burgers were perfect - juicy chicken with a crispy batter in a brioche bun and just the right amount of spice in the sauce. The dirty fries were extra dirty! Great spot for a fun lunch/dinner and trying unique local beers.

A fantastic New Orleans themed restaurant that really stands out: everything from the decor to the food is unique and divine. I loved the fact that everything sticks to the theme in this restaurant.

Food wise it's simple but really well done. The burgers (including the secret chocolate and bacon burger!!) are excellent - beautiful meat and really delicious buns. Make sure to order the burnt courgette salad - it's exquisite.

My top recommendation would be the baked oysters - they're exceptional! Full review on my blog.

One of the best things about London is that even when you have major wanderlust there's no need to hop on a plane, 'cause all you've got to do is find a restaurant that serves a different cuisine - not exactly difficult in this amazing city!. So when Pocket High Street invited me to visit Ninth Ward, Clarkenwell with Jasiminne from Posh, Broke & Bored to try out their New Orleans themed restaurant, my inner wanderluster and foodie was very excited!

Ninth Ward is a New Orleans style restaurant and bar that opened several weeks back near Farringdon Station (there’s a more established sister restaurant in New York as well). It’s a good place to consider for your next Clerkenwell drinking session with a menu of bar snacks and American fixings to abate any appetite.

For the past three years now I’ve been working in Marylebone and within all that time I’ve been incredibly spoilt in terms of food choice. From fine dining, amazing burgers, to Michelin star bonanza. Our offices have since moved to Holborn and with just a mile in-between them both – the food scene is totally different. It’s all about drinking here in Holborn and fast casual dining. Walk into any restaurant or shop after 3pm and it’s like a ghost town, with most places not even bothering to open at the weekends. It’s all very odd.

Another to add to the list of London's best burgers, in true New Orleans style Farringdon's newest opening offers a hearty slice of Americana. Ninth Ward is the closest you can get to the real, Louisiana deal in our fair City. . Think buttermilk fried chicken, crayfish, Slap ya Mama hot wings, fried pickles, mac n cheese, braised beef brisket and dirty fries. Prosecco, flaming cocktails and the longest list of draft beers you can imagine.

Had a blast at this spot... Went for my birthday and invited some friends for unlimited wings, the wings were good, 3 options available. A buffalo, a BBQ and the had a special sweet chilli. Sauces came at an extra price, but hey. Drinks were really good with loads of selection on beers. Everyone had a blast. Thanks guys.

We came down for the bottomless wings. The service was a little slow to begin with but it might be because we arrived fairly early into the evening so it was quite empty to begin with. We all ordered bottomless wings which you go to the bar and order. The wings are small but they served us plenty. The bottomless wings offer you 2 options Buffalo and BBQ. Buffalo comes with blue cheese sauce although we had to ask for it because it didn't originally arrive with it. The sauces are tasty and wings are good. For £13 bottomless we all agreed it was a brilliant price. Although they aren't the juiciest wings you can find in London it'll certainly fill you up. They don't seem to have a timer on how long you can eat so we enjoyed plenty of wings and a few drinks. Lots of beer options, cocktails and soft drinks. Happy hours and lots of deals available. We tried to book a table online but the website suggested that we didn't need to for under 4 people so we did a walk in and got a table easily. Very close to Farringdon station, great location to meet friends. I'd 100% come back.

The £5 a pint offer drew me back in along with the fully stacked burgers. On the plus side, two large blackboards display the current selection of craft beers, which are generally pretty good. But, I can't put my finger on what this place wants to be. It kind of feels a bit like a church with loads of stain glass, but also feels like a western saloon bar with all the wood. Moody lighting and generally frequented by blokes.

This is a great bar but on our recent visit on a Friday night we found the place to be completely empty. This wasn't an issue for us as we were a group of friends having a catch up but it was surprising that a bar in central London at 9ish has no other customers. Cocktails were great and they had a very good selection of craft beer which made it even more bizarre that it was empty. Staff were very friendly and seemed like a fun bunch. Would recommend as it's a great bar with great music

The hot wings are highly recommended if you like spicy food and want some challenges! You may think "yeah~ it's nothing special" in the first 10-20 seconds after eating it, and will started to enjoy the next 15 minutes afte that. 😃 (And probably in the next morning routine too)

Fantastic Wednesday evening of drinks and wings! Staff were friendly, helpful and well-mannered. We had a lovely mixture of flavours of wings as well as top quality beers as accompaniments. Great vibe and decor in the bar which topped off a great night. Thank you to Ninth Ward and and all your helpful staff.

A most gorgeous place! Steve Miller Band playing, great beer and lovely staff. The decor has survived an epocalypse and there could be shapeshifters in the cupboard, it's that kind of a place. The best gent's loo door in London lives here. The place is fantastic. No evidence of food when I was here but, the do do it apparently. Absolutely worth a visit. Not the venue for a cask lover though, I see no signs of such things.

Really great place for a couple of drinks and a meal (GREAT wings!👍) Not too crowded nor too loud, so we could chat quite easily - and proper rock playing all the time! What's not to like? We'll be back

We stopped here on a whim for a quick drink in the early evening. We were passing and were a bit thirsty and need the loo and Ninth Ward looked inviting partly because it was, inexplicably - completely empty! This was most odd given the friendly welcome we got, the great selection of beers and fun decor. A very underused spot which deserves to be more popular.

- great vibe although quiet in the week at lunch times. I had the sloppy joey. It was huge and tasted great. also had chicken nuggets, really good too.

Came here on a Wednesday for bottomless wings (a promotion they run every Wednesday for only £10pp) and it did not disappoint! With an impressive selection of beers on tap, extremely helpful and polite staff soundtracked by good music we had a great time. These also might be some of the best wings in London!

Awesome bar, lots of beer choice and some nice cider too. Went for the unlimited wings on a Tuesday and they were brilliant and super tasty! Bar staff were very helpful and surprisingly keen to persuade you to eat more wings! Will definitely be going again.

Went in for the bottomless chicken wings, great pub, cool vibe, rock music but not too loud so you could hear yourself talking, staff was friendly (a particular Thanks to Davy). Great night all around. We will be back ☺️ Oh also, this place makes their own match boxes which is a rare thing nowadays, nice touch!
