This is our favourite pub in London... the beer/wine is fantastic & the atmosphere is great 🍻
I love the Samuel Smith organic chocolate stout, and the beef pie and burger were very good

A PitStop for a pint . Perfect for an afterwork!
Good environment and ambience .
Have a talk and enjoy : Inside by its characteristic decor or outside by the street
I will admit I only came here to drink so I have no say in the food.
Luckily it was a nice day as it was packed inside the pub, the pub it's self has a lot of charm even when it's full of people and they brew there own organic beers and cider as well as making there own organic liquor which is interesting.
Basically don't go in there expecting to order a fosters because they don't sell them.
I would say because everything is brewed themselves that the prices would be cheaper but this is Soho and this is a trendy pub for the hipsters so that isn't always the case.
The fruit beer here though is amazing and does taste like the fruit on the bottle not some sugary attempt to make apple or raspberry.
Overall a nice pub and I bet it's lovely when you actually get a chance to sit inside, being so central as well you get to people watch a lot which I tend to enjoy.
Overall if your into specialty beers and not a pint of fosters, this is your place!
Classic British pub with a lot of history behind its name. Spoiler: it has nothing to do with Game of thrones! Kitchen closes early but highly recommend for a quick drink
We only stopped for some pints in the early afternoon and didn't eat here. John Snow is a nice historic pub with an interesting history. The afternoon bartender could have been more welcoming but was friendly enough. Decent prices for area and standing
It was very busy and we had plastic pints outside because it was super hot.
Title: A Charming Pub with an Old-World Vibe
As a regular patron of the John Snow pub in Soho, I can confidently say that this place is a hidden gem in the heart of London. From its cozy atmosphere to its friendly staff, the John Snow pub exudes a warmth that instantly makes you feel at home.
The pub's decor is reminiscent of a traditional English tavern, with its wooden paneling, vintage photos, and dim lighting that sets the mood for a relaxing evening. The historic setting pays homage to the renowned physician, John Snow, with fascinating artifacts and memorabilia displayed throughout the pub, adding a unique touch to its ambiance.
One of the standout features of the John Snow pub is its impressive selection of craft beers and ciders on tap. From locally brewed ales to international favorites, there's always something for everyone's taste buds. The bartenders are knowledgeable and passionate about their craft, and they're always happy to recommend a new brew to try.
The food at the John Snow pub is equally delightful. The menu offers a variety of classic pub fare, from fish and chips to burgers, all cooked to perfection. The quality of the ingredients is evident, and the portions are generous, making it a great spot for a satisfying meal.
What truly sets the John Snow pub apart is its friendly and welcoming staff. The service is exceptional, with the staff going out of their way to make you feel welcome and ensure you have a memorable experience. The warm and attentive service adds to the overall charm of the pub and keeps me coming back time and time again.
In addition, the John Snow pub's location in Soho is perfect for a night out in London. It's tucked away on a quiet street, providing a cozy retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet it's still conveniently close to popular attractions and theaters.
In conclusion, I highly recommend the John Snow pub for a delightful evening out. Its charming ambiance, excellent selection of drinks, delicious food, and outstanding service make it a must-visit destination in Soho. Whether you're a local or a tourist, you won't be disappointed with the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the John Snow pub. Cheers to a memorable experience!
Absolutely one of the best pubs in central London. The staff are well cool, friendly, and occasionally funny. Beer selection is quite peculiar, having kinda their own special thing. But all good.
No music, just the musical sound of humans chanting.
Great vibe. Good prices. Be prepared to stand.
In all of London this is the pub I returned to the most. It became a regular meeting place for me and other public health grad students due to the decent priced pints and connection to John Snow (an early influential contributor to public health and epidemiology).
The bartenders are quick and efficient. Do not worry if you see a line, I never had to wait more than 5 minutes. That being said, this is not the place to order a complicated cocktail. I recommend the bottled Apricot beer and tipping a pound or two.
If you are there at a peak time you will likely have to stand. This sounds like a downside but, honestly, I found standing just outside the pub and getting to know people in a group to be incredibly enjoyable. Make sure to take a picture with the water pump that John Snow disabled to stop a cholera outbreak, it’s a fun story and memory for your night/trip.
Pictures are from by the pump.
Very good pub. The room upstairs is very good to eat quietly. There is good choice of food and delicious. We took the Mac and cheese and it was delicious even if we barely could feel the pasta.
Absolutely heaving on a Thursday night but the barman on the upstairs bar handled our (undecisive) large group so well and was really quick and friendly. I'd go back again just for the service!
Excellent value for money pub. Despite the questionable business model (Joe Lycett) which Samuel Smith's operate to, the pub itself is everything you would expect from a traditional boozer. Worth a visit but was packed out on the Saturday afternoon we were here so didn't stay for long.

Great selection of beers, decent prices. Rather large portions of food (fish and chips looked delicious, judging from what others got, and the portion is huge). Beers range from 3-6 pounds. Meat pie was good, classic comfort food. Interior very classic.
Traditional pub, with very friendly staff. Not your usual draft drinks, something a bit different
Wonderful Sam Smiths pub with good seating, lovely interior and atmosphere. The famously teetotal namesake may disagree with it but I thought it was marvellous
Excellent meeting location in the middle of soho. Old beers. Diverse after work crowd during the week. Stalwart of the soho pub scene.
Very cool place, especially for someone who appreciates the history behind it! We got pies and beer, which were really good. The bartender was super nice and helpful with suggestions. The food came out quick and we were able to finish our drinks outside on the sidewalk after eating!
Nice English pub with freshly made food, delicious chicken and leek pie and splendid fish and chips. Service was attentive and welcoming. A place to come back
