Good place for solid full English breakfast. Food is good quality and nice portion, prepared fresh and fast. Despite the fact this seems to be local joint for local people, where I was but a tourist, I felt welcome there from the moment I stepped through the door. The owner is just that nice, friendly as can be. Overall a really nice experience of my last day of the London trip.

Classic greasy spoon.. these friendly people know who they are and what they do; they’ve been doing it for years.. You’ll find a better English breakfast, but for value, tradition and simplicity Gate Grill Cafe is a great breakfast option.

Yep, this was also really good. I noticed a the staff being very accommodating to an elderly customer on more than one occasion. They seem like very nice people to say the least. Aside from this, the breakfast was really good and not expensive.

We ate breakfast here 3 times! The food was good, and the people that work there are awesome and very friendly.. I tried black pudding for the first time. It was...earthy. We were only in London 6 days. It was my favorite place to eat.

Recently visited a couple of times whilst visiting London. Good to see that they have survived lock down and still offer great breakfasts at excellent prices. If you are looking for a no nonsense fried breakfast with a mug of tea it is well worth a visit!!

Hey guys, I'm not sure if anybody is still working there from 20 years ago, but I used to come to this place all the time when I studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Judging by the photos, it appears to still be serving the same great English breakfasts that it was then! Are you still there, Sue? Remember the guy from Cincinnati Ohio?

Great food, great people and value for money. Established in1978 it remains a traditional cafe, something you don't find very often these days particularly in the City. A traditional menu large portions and good service. The guys who run it are exceptionally nice people. Try it.

Quick, friendly and delicious. We had our breakfast here just before going on the underground, as it's basically next door.

I was here one morning before a job interview and got the best breakfast! Brilliant little café. I didn't have cash on me that morning (they only take cash) and was told I could come back later to pay. Of course I forgot, but sent a friend a few days later who covered it for me. So friendly!

Popped in for bacon sandwich as the place was recommended to me. Really good bacon sarnie, 'real' bread, really fresh. The staff were very nice. And a good price, proper cafe prices not Pret-prices!

We were on our last visit to London and we loved it. With so many franchises it's harder to know what city you're in. It's great to find a traditional cafe in the heart of London, with good food, good people and good prices. Keep it up, we'll be back! Long live the Gate Grill Cafe!!!
