I’ve been living in Stoke Newington for nearly 2 years now, and been eating at the excellent Turkish restaurants on my part of Greens Lane, closest to Newington Park since day 1. So it is kinda weird really that I haven’t written about any of them, I’ve no idea why, but this is gonna change.
It's my local favourite turkish Restaurant, and there is plenty in Stoke Newington, but this remains the best for me, the charcoal fire where they prepared most of the things gives a very good atmosphere. The bread is insanely good, and service is always attentive and very good.
A brilliant place for delicious, fresh home cooked classic Turkish food. You always get a friendly welcome and the food is divine. Order anything but the charcoal grill options are best, this was the mixed grill which I needed to share!
Brilliant food, if you're looking for a no fuss Turkish restaurant with reasonable prices and delicious food then this is the one! The ezme salad had the perfect amount of chilli and my sardines were delicious with a massive fresh salad to accompany it. Will defo be returning.
The best lamb kofta in London. I've got a lot of experience eating lamb kofta and this one was the best.
Got an aubergine starter as well and that was definitely the best aubergine I've ever had in my life. Top class.

One of our favourite places to visit in the area. The food is exceptional and delicious - our fave is the mixed shish or the Suc Tava. The service is wonderful. We are now going there weekly because we can't get enough! If you're on your own I recommend sitting by the grill and watching the food being cooked :)
This possibility has the best Turkish food on green lanes. Very authentic, really nice people work there. Definitely recommended, I go as often as I can.

Have been coming here for almost 15 years now. The staff treat you like one of the family, the food is always delicious and the prices remain reasonable when everything else seems to be going through the roof.
Highly recommended the meatballs or Mucver for starters and Pirzola or Sac Tava for mains, but we have yet to have anything on the menu that isn't great.

Staple high street Turkish with a bit of class. You know it’s good quality when you have to wait a little bit for ur feed. Would add Haloumi to the menu though :)

Food was amazing and was freshly made in view of our table I had a mixed grill with rice and the misses had a helep kebab with chips. Food and service was excellent I will be back again.

Free refills of bread. Wonderful food and friendly people. Decor a little rustic but have been going here for years and it still keeps the same great fresh quality. Massive portions. Try the muçver and any kebab they have. Even take away stews are lovely too, for great value.
