We visited the restaurant for a Saturday dinner. Overall it was a good experience but we felt it is a bit too heavy on the pockets for the portions served.
Went here for a quick breakfast!
Loved the turkish eggs and bacon pancakes.
Easy to order and decently priced
A good breakfast option before a shopping spree at Westfield !
Balans Westfield
Rating 4 out of 5
We went there for brunch today. The service was excellent. Food was good (I had the masala omelette) but a little over priced for the portions
All in all would recommend it for a quick brunch while shopping
I visited Balans for a celebratory brunch with Uni friends after our final hand in. It was pretty quiet (unsurprising since it was 10am on a Monday), and they quickly put together a table for the five of us.
In the end, my friend and I split the bacon pancakes and Eggs Benedict and it was delicious. The eggs were cooked to perfection, served on English muffins with lashings of hollandaise, whilst the pancakes were thick and fluffy, the bacon crisped perfectly. The nice thing about Balans is that they really do every breakfast option, pancakes, french toast, eggs, Chorizo Con Papas, avocado toast, the lot. You'd find something to suit every breakfast taste.
We followed up our breakfast with a round of celebratory drinks. The girls all opted for cocktails whilst I stuck with prosecco, which was delicious. The girls loved they're cocktails, but did say they were a little strong, but maybe that was just since it was a Monday morning!
They did stick a service charge of 12.5% on the bill, but we didn't mind paying since the service was fab, they were attentive and fast, but let us relax and didn't rush us out either. The meal was really reasonable, with breakfast and a round of drinks, including service charge worked out around £17 a head, pretty reasonable for London!
I was really impressed with everything, being a frequent visitor to Westfield, I've tried a lot of the restaurants and this was one of my favourites. I'll definitely be returning to try out the lunch menu!

As a frequent Westfield visitor, I love to try out new restaurants within the shopping complex, especially those that I'm less familiar with. Since the closure of Cafe Concerto in The Village, I've struggled to find a comfortable coffee & lunch destination that I can spend a little while catching up on work. At first glance, I saw Balans potential at being such destination.
Their menu is well trimmed of sandwich filler options and includes a wide variety of dishes with a wide range of ingredients which will make any foodie excited! Their high society eggs benedict is my dish of choice (though slightly altered with smoked salmon over bacon), the lobster & avocado naturally compliment each other and no ingredient overrides the flavour of the package. I have also tried their Macaroni Cheese & Crab Linguine, the latter I would also recommend. When dining with others, I've noticed portion sizes are well thought out, minimising waste and giving you a good sized meal.
I have tried most of the restaurants in Westfield and I would say this is my restaurant of choice now - the rating is bearing in mind immediate geographic competition and I truly believe this is your best bite in the White City complex!
Enjoy your visit :)!
We had brunch on a Sunday and we had eggs benedict, which were delicious.
The food came really quick, the coffee was super strong. I enjoyed the service and the atmosphere. Definitely recommend.
Balans West was a good choice to meet up with friends for breakfast. Was Easy to find from the parking in Westfield’s shopping centre. We all had the full English breakfast with one side order of pancakes with syrup and berries. We decided to share the pancakes between us. The breakfast was fabulous and was nice to have the extra sweet treat of the pancakes. Coffee and juices were good. Unfortunately, the service was rather slow, it seemed that they were a little short staffed. But all in all it was a really nice experience, and I would definitely return. Lots of seating, with outdoor table available.
Food was good, staff were outstanding. I have never seen a trio of staff so friendly, knowledgeable and polite; they really went above and beyond to make the customers feel welcome and well treated. Well done to the young manager running the place.
Food is good, not incredible; some things are better than others. We enjoyed the croquettes and vegan tacos for starters for instance. The Korean burger was decent too and the matcha pancakes for dessert I wouldn’t order again.
Overall we had a great dinner, cosy atmosphere and super attentive staff.
However, value for money, quality of food would make me think twice before coming back here; it’s tough to really understand what they do. Is it a brunch place? Is it a bar? What cuisine do they do?
We ordered both the Lobster Benedict and the Steak & Eggs. The Lobster Benedict was really tasty but the steak was slightly too chewy for my liking. Good experience overall, though.
Highly recommend this way over the top delicious dish (French toast) Nice place with attentive staff. Thank you
Went there for a quick drink and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Ended up eating there too! The Thai curry is very creamy and the right texture of rice to go with it. 5 stars for the food and the service. It’s got a very nice ambience if you’re looking to chill out after a long shopping trip.
I got lobster benedict and two pancakes. Although the lobster was a bit cold, it tasted really good and I loved the pancakes! The staff welcomed me as soon as I stepped into the restaurant and they were very attentive and friendly. The service was also very fast. I would visit here again
Came here for breakfast and dinner with friends
🥘 food was very tasty with many options. I had the pancakes for breakfast and they were nice, only issue is that the berries were only a fee and I had to pay £1 extra for bananas.
Also had the rib eye steak for dinner and it was superb especially the sauce! Highly recommend it.
Its also halal which is great!
🍹
Nice coffee and had coke
👩💼
Staff are super nice and friendly! They’re efficient and quick
The food was really delicious here. Came here for a late brunch and they had a nice range of options. The pancakes were absolutely delicious, very soft and fluffy.
Didn’t get the best seat but friendly staff steak and burger was good
Nice little place for a brunch. Location wise it’s alright, not the greatest of views but very convenient next to Westfield. I went for the lobster Benedict which was nice but the lobster was a tad overcooked. Nice combination with the avocado and bacon though. Service was friendly and fast, and they had nice coffee
Hey! How could I forget a Balans visit. Although I had to wait 5 minutes before being shown to a table. It was worth it. They were extremely busy on the morning I visited. Which, I am sure is the case everyday.
Anyway, I ordered a nice Americano coffee, and a really filling English breakfast; minus the mushroom and egg!
It was so nice. The bacon, had a really nice flavour. I'm going to say that it was smoked and thickly sliced. The sausage was nicely cooked, as were the grilled tomatoes🍅.
In fact, please take a visit and enjoy!.
I visited at 10.30am, and had to wait. So maybe book at table in advance, and enjoy what they have on offer.
I visited the restaurant in whitecity with my daughter. The food was delicious. The service was great. The only thing I would suggest is for the restaurant to change the chairs, as they are not very comfortable. Also there was no air-conditioning, no fans so it was hot.
Really good place for coffee % breakfast. We came twice, first time was for afternoon coffee. Second time we came for brunch. Really good. Will definitely return
