If you like restaurant food which is home-cooked quality then Raavi Kebab is the Place. No match for Nihari, chicken Tikkas and Kebabs. My all time favourite
Best Pakistani food outside of Pakistan! Great taste and value for money!
The mutton nihari here is to die for coupled with their tandoori roti. Tasty food with good ambiance...highly recommended.
In the central part of London.
Though the place is little the food they offer is excellent. The kebabs are as authentic as you get in the original places like Lucknow.
They accept cash only and card only for higher amounts.
We tried kebabs, tandoori, and prawns curry and chicken biryani. Everything we tried was tremendously tasty and authentic.
I would just suggest some improvement in cleanliness and ambience.
I went to the Raavi Kebab with my friends for a lunch.
Loved this place. Enjoyed coming over here. The interiors and decors of this place are damn good.
I would highly recommend you guys to go and check out this outlet.
won't guild the picture - this place is a bit rough round the edges, as you would expect. The service prioritises speed and efficiency over courtesy, the bogs are somewhat rudimentary, the dining area is more like a cafe or cantina than a restaurant - but come on! This is the real deal. The food is authentic, the portions large, the taste divine, and it is cheep +++ This is where the local population from the Sub Continent goes and the bad points mentioned by many other reviewers, I suspect, are cultural differences around expectation of an eating place they haven't been sensitive too.I'll be happy to eat my words if I have a truly bad experience at this restaurant, but I doubt I will.
Raavi Kebab is a long-established, family run restaurant in Euston, serving Pakistan’s Punjabi cuisine. While there are many excellent Indian restaurants in Central London, one might think it is difficult to find a good Pakistani restaurant without having to travel as far as Whitechapel for Tayyab and Lahore Kebab House, or Tooting for Spice Village.
The food here is simply delicious and tasty. This hidden gem on Drummond street is a must visit for yummy easy on stomach and pocket food. We had chicken karahi and seekh kababs on day1 and just had the most amazing kheema alu and my wife had veg Thali. Both were phenomenal. Don't let the decor upset you. It may not be flashy but the food is outstanding and that matters. Will definitely try haleem and nihari next.
Tucked away behind Euston station and opposite ambalas is Raavi Kebab. Ordered the saag paneer (good), nihari (good but should have had more meat), Roti and paratha Roti. For drinks had the sweet lassi (good). Has simple decor and ambience. Overall good food.
This is what I call honest to goodness food. It's a small, family run restaurant that serves Pakistani food that's as good as home cooked food. I used to eat here frequently when I lived in London, and I never leave London without eating here when I visit.
Their Nihari is authentic and probably the best item on their menu. Their khara masala mutton is to die for and their Biryani isn't bad at all.
For a truly exotic food experience minus the frills do go there!
This is small place near Euston station that serves authentic desi food. My fav here is nihari!! I think this place served the best nihari in london.. I recommend their egg Kheema and lamb chops as well.
For desserts try their pista kulfi.
My go-to fix for some authentic Pakistani food. This tiny humble food joint on Drummond Street near Warren Street station is where I eat away my sorrows! Haleem, seekh kebab or Bhindi gosht- they've got it folks! The best thing? Cheap food but still tastes way better than a lot of the high end desi restaurants around town.
This place was perfect to satisfy my craving of good desi food.
We ordered the Mixed Grill, Dal Tarkaa, Saag and Paneer and Tandoori Naan.
First of all, that naan. It was so soft and fluffed up and had a nice layer of butter on it. It tasted soft and absolutely delicious. I loved it!
The Mixed Grill was also very good. The kebabs were my favorite as the coriander added a perfect flavor to the meat.
The Daal and Saag were both delicious.
We were satisfied by the whole meal and had enough to pack for dinner!
The dishes are all reasonable priced too.
Recommendation for all those out there craving that spicy desi food.
Very easy access from Euston. underground, they have very delicious bbq tikka dishes and fresh nan. Enjoyed having a good halla food here :)
One of the few authentic Pakistani cuisine restaurants in London. Worth a visit if you miss the Sabri Nehari from back home. It's a small place with a few tables, the prices are also affordable.
I visited this place for the second time and had a fairly decent experience. The place is easily accessible as it is just a 5 minute walk from the Euston station. The food is a treat for the taste buds and is definitely pocket friendly. The only disappointment was the waiter who wasn't courteous enough to serve me promptly and was preoccupied with his personal calls.
This place serves excellent Pakistani cuisine, and is a brilliant balti place located quite obscurely on a busy city street. The food here is delicious. I visit this place quite regularly, and I am a fan of Pakistani food, so I know the quality of this place. The service is also really nice, and they have a pretty basic decor, but I come to this place for their food. I especially recommend their kebab masala dish and chicken kadhai. The naans are always fluffy and fresh. They are crispy and served piping hot. I will keep on coming here, and recommend it to everyone.
If you are looking for food that is worth the price you pay for it, then this is the place to be eating at. The place is quite unpretentious and unassuming so do not go here if you are looking for fancy things. The food is very hygienic and basic with grilled meat being their specialty. Do go here and try the wonderful food.
Considering it is London, the restaurant serves the best Indian food i have tried here. The chicken kebab's and butter chicken are delectable. There aren't many restaurants whose food quality can be compared to the dishes they serve here. The Environment of the place is a quiet one. The staff here is quite helpful in deciding the type of food you want.
This is your typical Pakistani Punjabi place and located at an easy distance for me.This place is not that great looking and does not have a license to sell alcohol. But is very clean and the staff is quite pleasant too.
The prices are very pocket friendly and i generally like having the mixed grill.I recommend trying that and the salt lassi both of which are equally good! Definitely the best of its kind around my area.
This restaurant is a stone's throw away from the railway station and you would consider grabbing a quick a meal before you start your journey. Sadly, the service might disappoint you because the waiting time is a little too much. By the time your food arrives you are practically starving and are worried that you might just miss your train. However the food is surely worth the wait. It is cooked just right with the spices and I did enjoy it a lot!
This place needs to be accepted for what it is since it is not going to ever become a fine-dining place. It is a functional eatery that serves Pakistani food. The drinks are served to you in cans, and the food is very basically served. The prices are inexpensive, and the food is delicious. The service is functional, and this is a place for a tasty and cheap meal, not to take a potential love interest to. However, it deserves a visit.
This restaurant is my 'go to' place when I am missing home cooked food a lot. Famous for its grilled meats, this place also offers a nice vegetarian option with lentils and other veggies. I am particularly fond of the tandoori roti as it tastes pure Indian. I will definitely be coming back to try some more Indian dishes.
Raavi Kebab - as correctly spelt here is fab place for a quick meal with the authentic taste of Pakistan and India in London.
Its a very small place with even lesser people serving you, but thats not a problem. Very nice staff and a cozy ambiance, you might feel a bit too homely.
Though all that said about the place it scores all its points on its food, which is sure to sweep the floor beneath you. Its an amazingly small place and the most unknown names but the food is simply heavenly. If you go there and order your usual nans and kebabs, do not forget to order NIHARI. Thats a must! Must! Its so gorgeously cooked with tender lamb in it that you will surely come back to this place for that. Oh I cant sell this place more to you for just one dish its surely worth the visit!
I went with my husband. We ordered seekh kebab, chicken tikka for starters and meat thali and nihari, which I've thought about trying for a while. The kebabs were good. The chicken tikka was good also.
Main dishes arrived and we tucked in to the meat thali which suprised me by containing both the starters we'd just eaten, but we didn't mind as they were good. The thali was good but I much preferred the Nihari,. The Nihari wasn't too hot with just the right amount of spice. I'll certainly go there again.
Tucked away in Drummond Street, which is full of sub-continental restaurants, sweet shops, grocery stores, Raavi Kebab Halal is a hidden gem.
The meat is succulent and extraordinarily tender. My favourite is their lamb/mutton dishes - lamb quorma, balti ghosht and the meat thali. I have tasted one chicken dish, but prefer mutton here. They have a nice lassi and kulfi as well, so do try those as well.
It's a family-run restaurant from what I can tell, and it's a personal and a cozy place to visit.
Raavi Kebab House in Little India, called Drummond Street, London, a beloved London institution for more than three decades, holds a special place in my heart.
My family and friends have gathered at this gem countless times, and we've even savoured their delectable dishes through personal visits and online orders.
This restaurant is truly one of a kind, marked by exceptional service and an encyclopaedic knowledge of the menu, courteously provided by the General Manager, Mr. Faizaan Patel.
What sets Raavi Kebab apart is the remarkable efficiency of their one-man team, led by the ever-attentive Mr. Faizaan Patel.
From taking orders to serving food and presenting the check, he seamlessly orchestrates every aspect of the dining experience.
His passion and expertise shine through as he describes the nuances of Pakistani specialties, a true delight for those like me, who have known these dishes for almost four decades.
The most astonishing aspect of Raavi Kebab is that, over the years, the taste of their cuisine has remained as exceptional as ever.
Their Pakistani Kebabs, cooked freshly on the open pit barbecue, are an absolute revelation, and the wide array of Pakistani dishes tantalize the palate like no other.
It's a genuine treasure to find such sophisticated and authentic Pakistani cuisine in the heart of London, a place where people from all over the world can satisfy their cravings.
Despite the test of time, Raavi Kebab has retained fair and reasonable prices that hardly waver in the face of inflation.
This commitment to affordability makes the experience even more enjoyable.
But what truly sets Raavi Kebab apart is its unparalleled service.
The staff's dedication to providing an exceptional dining experience is second to none.
I wholeheartedly wish the management, officers, and staff of Raavi Kebab continued progress on their journey to achieving the pinnacle of success in all their endeavors.
Raavi Kebab is not just a restaurant; it's a cherished institution that will forever hold a special place in my heart and the hearts of many others who have had the privilege of dining there.
Ash-Cash and Ashandkaren
The food was fabulous and delicious. I ordered chicken biryani , we’ll cooked generous amount (although it was not like authentic Karachi style but still tasted so good I ordered one for takeaway as well) and lamb nihaari, I must say the best nihaari I had in London to date. The place is a bit small but clean. The waiter was friendly and also got our nihaari reheated when I asked (because I like my dishes piping hot).
The waiter told us it’s cash only Resturant but later managed to charged us via card machine, better to take cash with you
Wholesome meal. Love the lamb seekh kebab and tandoori roti
- Lamb seekh kebabs : nothing special (had better ones at home from freezer
- Nihari and naan : Really good
- Fried fish : Awesome, ordered it again
- Lassi : Really nice. Requested a sweet and Sour mixed one and they made it
- Chicken boti : Really nice
We went on Saturday afternoon, wasn't busy, and staff were really responsive
Don't let the bland interior and corny furniture mislead you, this is by far the single most authentic place for Pakistani food I have eaten in London in the 12 years of my life here as migrant. I googled the area for Halal food and the chicken shop next to Raavi Kebab came up, but it was too busy when so attended so decided to walk into here, must admit it was the best decision ever made, will always go there again whenever in the area next. The place is cash only though hence little inconvenient in this day and age.
The food was one of the best Pakistani food I’ve had in London so this comes on top now when I crave authentic Pakistani food …. A very homely place rustic reminds you of burns road eateries service wise and atmosphere wise and food was really excellent we had Nihari Haleem daal and Seekh kebab they all were flavourful and the naan was cherry on the topping …. Highly recommend
You come here for the food, the place looks simple but food is authentically made
Pakistani food does not get better than this in central London. Honest to goodness food, authentic. Arguably the best Nihari this side of the persian Gulf.
Extremely good, authentic, and reasonably priced. Meant to take a picture of the food, but forgot, as it was so good
Great value kebab roll and very tasty. Freshly made naan and all made to order. Fantastic value at £5 in central London. My only feedback is it is rather scruffy so I got a takeaway instead.
Very friendly staff & helpful, located on Drummond Street, I really enjoyed the food from here I struggle to fault it. Definitely will be visiting again. Highly recommended.
Their food is the only thing that sets this apart. It's simply fantastic. London's best food is available for a reasonable price. The only other thing to keep in mind is that there is only 1 man who takes orders, grills kebabs, and cleans tables. Therefore, you can be upset to see that the one staff member is neglecting your food when it becomes late. But I'm simply here for their delicious meals. nothing more
While staying in London if you feel like having spicy Indian & Pakistani food then Ravi Kebab is the place. It's all Lahori type of desi food specially their BBQ is just amazing
Not a fancy place but their food is excellent. Particularly if you crave Pakistani food like nehari and kebab! This is a place for good food maybe not a fancy dine in!
