The Sunday roast was delicious. Although the place was packed I was served quickly at the bar by very helpful staff. The food came quickly and was hot. My only complaint is that it is so popular that it was hard to find a seat.

One of the best pubs in Hackney. Keep coming back here again and again, due to their outdoor area - its absolutely massive. Loads of sheltered space with heating, loads of benches, and they even have a table tennis table. Loads of drinks available on tap, hence very accommodating for everyone. Drinks are not supper cheap, but pretty standard London prices.

Muireach and his team were excellent hosts for our Aussie rules football club's (the London Swans) annual awards afternoon in the summer. The beer garden was a great size, the beers cold, the spirits well poured, and the food delicious. To top it off, the staff were friendly, great fun, and exceptionally accommodating for our large group. We hope to spend a lot more time at The Crooked Billet in 2023 and beyond. Thanks for having us!

Wonderful surprise. I had the roast chicken with chips and coleslaw. The coleslaw was amazing and complemented the Cajun fries! The roast chicken was perfectly cooked and the selection of beer and drinks rounded off the amazing dinner we had. I wish I took photos but I was too busy enjoying the meal and atmosphere. Kid friendly place until 7pm due to the liquor license.

Lovely beer garden! They have a big but well organised space outside for many people and it all run smoothly. You won’t be waiting long for your order. Great and very professional staff. The food is delicious ! Chips and padron peppers came in huge portions which was unexpected but welcomed :) They have TVs across the whole space. So if you are a football fan that is a great place to be! And don’t miss out on Pub quizzes every Monday😊

Excellent local featuring a cracking Monday pub quiz made very entertaining by the host and a few of the regulars. With an impressive pub garden it's perfect for spending a summer evening or an autumn afternoon.

Great selection of beers, ciders ect, staff are helpful and knowlegable about their stock. Food was better than expected. Great decor and plenty of room and comfy. Beer garden is heated and large, split up to add an outside ambiance. They cater for adults and young families, nice pub with food. I hope to rekindle another great local.

Good food, tried the pizza and burgers a few times and always a success Great atmosphere during the rugby world cup, recommend both for game night or just a cozy beer and chat evening

Large pub with a great little garden for food and drinks - I could imagine being a regular here if I was local to Clapton. Roast dinner was pretty good - nothing special but good enough to keep me happy. Reasonable beer selection - had Neckstamper pale on when I was there. Staff seemed a bit hungover, but most of them were really friendly.

The Crooked Billet pub in London is a hidden gem that left me enchanted. With its cozy interior and welcoming staff, it offers a delightful ambiance. However, the real highlight is its expansive and mesmerising garden. The largest I've seen, it boasts ample seating options. Enjoying a wide selection of drinks and delectable pub fare, this pub is a must-visit for those seeking a escape in the heart of London.
