Lovely Sunday roasts, we had pork belly and lamb shank, both delicious. Came with carrots, roast spuds, mashed swede, cauliflower cheese, Yorkshire puddling and kale. Somehow found room to squeeze in a sticky toffee pudding that is so addictive I suspect it has a class A substance in it. Good selection of craft brewery ales and beers too.

We were here from NZ as a family for Xmas 16/17, and have been a couple of times this trip. Everything to love about it and nothing not to like. The food is fantastic. The quiz was great fun! Be back next year, hopefully. Feels like home, even though a long way away from it.

I love the Lord Tredegar! Great pub atmosphere, have had some nice glasses of wine and also food here. Had the bowl of mussels (amaaaaaaazing!) and another time the burger- all delicious and good pub grub. All the staff are super lovely and helpful! Love to bring friends here. Definitely give it a go!

If you ever wanted to know where the Queen Mary faculty goes for drinks after lectures this is it. There's a very high chance of meeting a few drunk professors there so if you're a Queen Mary student you may want to keep that in mind.

The pub itself is hidden away from the main road near Mile End and it does not look like much from the outside. However, inside its hiding 3 good sized rooms and a garden area so it's ideal for big groups.

The staff is friendly and there's a good selection of drinks. The kitchen is exposed at the back room so you can see while your food is prepared. However I did not have anything this time so I can not tell if it's good.

I don't think it's a venue you need to go out of your way to get to but if you live in the area you should keep it in mind for when you are looking for a drink.

This is one of the greatest pubs anyone will ever visit, if you're a local you're blessed. In this day & age it's hard to find a great local that is a classic pub, grand in size featuring a cat, and garden. Though understand it's big for a reason as it's a very popular place to have great food and probably the best roast dinner in London, with me now trying to find places that will upstage this pub. For me what makes this place before the food is the staff that work here, calm and very friendly to help you feel relaxed. However the kitchen staff making these dishes are the best kept secret you want to tell everyone about. I recently went up north having a roast, and it couldn't touch what you get at The Lord Tredegar. It's not only the portion size that is perfect and satisfying, but how well everything is cooked and that presentation when a dish is served will have you taking pics to show the world. On the rare occasions I've been in on a different day, let me confirm the food is still amazing and I hope this winning formula remains. Knowing pubs have been dying out for a while, this pub deserves to be protected as it does England and the East End proud. Tell everyone about it, but not too many to ensure you can enjoy a roast on a Sunday!

Sunday roast is the best! Walking distance from Victoria park. On that Sunday lunchtime, all tables are almost reserved. But still can get table. Food served quick. Staff are nice.

I didn’t actually eat anything because the kitchen closes at 9:30pm but I really enjoyed the cider! It was called ascension and honestly got me a bit tipsy after 1 and a half. £5.60 each. There’s also a very cute kitty 🐈‍⬛ , video attached. The menu looks affordable and quite nice to be honest. The whole place seems like a very nice house of your rich friend. Except the tables can be sticky and there’s very loud drunk people around. Haha

The place is charming and welcoming. The atmosphere is delightful, both inside the restaurant and in the garden. We enjoyed a variety of appetizers, such as mac and cheese, halloumi fries, and more, and everything was delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly and they made our evening enjoyable.

I heard very good things about their roast, so we decided to come. Unfortunately, Sunday roast is only served on Sundays (as expected), so we tried the sausage and mash, pan fried sea bass, and braised pork belly special of the day. We also shared the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. The food was amazing, but the service was alright. You walk in and sit wherever you like in the back, and order at the bar up front. The bartenders weren’t that attentive, so it did take a bit for them to finally take my order, but the server was great. We noticed she sanitized her hands often!

Wonderful local pub. Plenty of options for food - the 3 small dishes for £15 is a great idea. Lovely garden on the back doy your Sunday roast. I’d you just w as not a drink plenty of space in the bar area at the front and a cat to entertain yourself if she can be bother. Lovely when the fireplace is on too!
