Sushi Waka - London - Photo album

The food was spectacular, the quantities were plentiful and affordable in comparison to most Japanese restaurants I have been to around London. However, I will note that the service in particular was not the greatest that it could have been, but I give them the benefit of the doubt as the restauran
Wow!! When you enter Sushi Waka you do so expecting a standard modern day sushi set up, all with brightly colored chairs, multi colored plates of sushi floating by on fairly monotonous conveyers... But then you are in the place and can't help going WOW!! Its fairly close to an original sushi dojo fo
Very good sushi. Prepared by a Japanese cook. Very tasty, wide variety. Its a crowded place, which also tell a lot how good it ism would come back when possible. Also love service and kindness of waitresses.
Nice little find! Had a tempura udon lunch set. The tempura is very proper, light and not oily. Udon is those chewy one with square cross section. Such an authentic Japanese place. The decor make me few I am in Japan too.
I thought the food here was really nice, and it's great value, but the restaurant itself looks really old and tired and there's absolutely no ambience. All the tables/chairs/serving plates etc are all really knackered old plastic and just need going over, there's an old aquarium with green water and
Love love love this cozy, family-run Japanese restaurant. So much so that I don't want to rave about it too much so it gets too popular - it books up at the weekend already. They answer the phone in Japanese, and warmly give all customary greetings when you arrive and depart, and the walls and alcov
Used to be Otafuku but has now been Sushi Waka for many years. The sushi is very good. The restaurant is small and does have an upstairs, although you have to sit on the floor. When available the Tuna , scallop and sweet shrimp are very good. Not much in the way of atmosphere its all about the s
Very authentic and fresh sushi and sashimi that doesn't break your wallet. Very lovely Japanese decoration, while not modern but it adds to the authentic feeling. The tatami room is an added bonus.
Simple place, the menu is quite extensive and the food is typical Japanese place done well. The salmon and avocado rolls were especially good.
Amazing experience. Delicious sushi, especially the Otoro Nigiri. The best I ate in London because it's the authentic Sushi you can eat in Japan. Really recommended!
Brilliant, affordable little sushi place. Downstairs is western style chair seating and upstairs is traditional Japanese on floor dining. VERY good tempura and generous sushi portions. Incredibly relaxing atmosphere. VERY discrete but always attentive staff. Will come again.
The sushi is great although I'm no barometer of authenticity. People complain that the interior is "rundown" but it's charming and the service is excellent. Yes, it gets busy, but it's in Camden and the food is great. It may seem expensive but some plates are really filling, with Udon noodles and fr
So unassuming but so delicious and authentic - When you dine here you feel like you're actually in Japan. The Sashimi Boat and the Gyoza are absolutely delicious and the prices are so reasonable. Great value, great service and great food. I'll be back again for my 3rd visit soon.
Good value lunch deals coupled with warm service.
One of my favourites non expensive Japanese restaurants in London, for the price you pay, probably not many other places would offer something like this. The Salmon Avocado roll is sublime and the nigiris are fine as well. I am a regular here, never disappointed.
Its completely fair the price and the quality of the food. Food tastes fresh, natural, not frozen and the atmosphere is really traditional. We will definitely come back! Tips: we had the varied sashimi and noddle soup, everything just delicious!
Used to live in Camden town 3 years ago but moved to Northern Ireland now, came back again for this place as I have a great memory here. Love the taste of the food, like the service as well, a young waiter who served us today, he apologized to us just because he forgot to put one thing on our order,
Had a lovely Christmas party dinner here upstairs in the tatami section of the restaurant. The decor of the upstairs reminded me of the old houses seen in Japan and was very cosy. The food was great and decorated nicely. Would recommend getting a hot sake to fight off the cold kicking in!
