Just love this place!!! 2nd visit here. The service is incredible and the food is amazing. The staff are so lovely and will go out of their way to please you. The atmosphere is brilliant. The place is clean and a buzz like vibe. Love the arancini!! Would recommend to everyone.
We were early getting into London, so went and booked a table for lunch, which was a good job as when we returned at lunchtime the restaurant was almost full and buzzing, fantastic atmosphere.
The food was excellent, we started with Queen Scallops which were divine, these were followed by lobster ravioli, never tasted anything as good. crab with avacadp, again very tasty and Spaghetti with black pepper and Parmesan and a crisp Chardonnay.
We will definitely go back
What a fantastic looking place with top class service & ambiance food was delicious not pricey at all for London but portions medium size which was nice enough definitely return to repeat the lovely experience W&M
On elf the best Italian restaurant in London, good small portion to try out different cuisine from all the region of Italy. The wine selection is superb
My friend and I popped in for breakfast yesterday, the service was excellent as was the food. The coffee was strong and hot. The location is ace. I would certainly reccomend the breakfast menu. This resturant is on my list of places to meet friends before exploring Piccadily and the surrounding areas. We were impressed.
I absolutely love this place. Favourite restaurant in London. Never had a bad experience. Service, food, ambience perfect
Great food, service and location. Italian tapas with some creative dishes and excellent wine list. Fun evening in Piccadilly!
Excellent service.
Delicious food.
Wonderful experience.
My Son and I arrived without a booking at 2.30pm and within a couple of minutes we were seated and reading the extensive menu.
Had a lovely meal & thought the staff made us welcome very nice atmosphere & the food was fabulous & well presented. We had never been before & im sure we would go again if we were in the area.
Second visit to this lovely restaurant. Exceptional food and service from all the staff. The manager Aldo Della Bella was outstanding and ensured all our dishes were cooked/served to perfection. Thank you to Nicola and Aldo for being professional and making sure we had a fantastic experience.
Been to bother outlets and prefer this one as it has it's own charm. Nonetheless both places have exceptional food. One of the best Italian restaurants I have been to. The Gnocchi is out of this world. Great place for a weekend dinner.
For sure one of my favourite restaurants in London and one of the few I’m actually missing since I moved out. It had been the place I chose to celebrate my birthday every year, for the past 5 years. Outstanding atmosphere, food and wine and a lovely lovely staff.
One of the best dining experiences I've had.
Never thought I could eat pizza, lasagna and beef tagliata all in one night! There is something positive about portions being small and I liked it! Nagging about prices isn't reasonable in London although I admit this one is at the upper end of the scale.
Nothing worth a good meal served by the great Claudio and Mattia at the bar. Recommended! (Negroni and tiramisu are equally good)
This place was such a little treat! We were desperate for some authentic Italian food. They work on meze sized portions... so the idea is that you order a few dishes to share. We ordered a variety of pastas and salads. I wouldn't say that it was cheap, but never is when converting into sterling. All in all, delicious with excellent service! We may have eaten the tomatoes which they placed on the table as decor... oops. I blame them for giving mixed messages around the decor.
The staff at Cicchetti are extremely friendly and welcoming. The ambience is nice too. I tried their ravioli with pesto filling in red sauce which was tender well cooked and delicious. The serving is good for one. I also tried their truffle ravioli which I did not like very much. The olives they serve along with the food are delicious and they have a good wine menu as well!
Our table of five shared some Italian tapas at this authentic Italian restaurant specialising in smaller dishes. We had to try the pizza fritta which is more along the lines of a doughnut than sourdough. The black ravioli with crab and brown shrimp were also delicious. Can be quite expensive though. The decor is not for me either, too much marble.
I visited this place with my friend this week and it was an excellent experience. Place was big but very well organized and decorated beautifully. We received a warm welcome by staff; they seated us and helped us with the menu which looked great. I ordered chicken wrapped in pancetta and my friendordered spaghettini with prawns which she said was the best she had. Great ingredients, flavors and very nicely presented. I could recommend this place without a hesitation. This place is worth a visit.
This is my new favourite restaurant, exceptional service. Peroni and Colombia wine for my two companions. Followed by mini Italian tapas of pizza basilicata, baby chicken, halibut, ravioli spinach, ravioli truffle, summer beans, porcini and the gnocchi all of which left us drooling for more. Spectacular! This is dinning at its best!
Couldn't recommend this place enough. Service was Michelin star quality, food was impeccable and authentically Italian - seafood fresh and delicious! We had limited time due to theatre tix, but will definitely be back to sample some more. Thank you to the wonderful staff for fulfilling all of our requests and making it a truly memorable experience.
Loved the ambience in this restaurant. The servers were very attentive the food was very authentic. The menu had a very big variety and not self explanatory . All the portions were small like spanish tapas but italian food. They use a lot if tomato and they are overpriced.
I'm still not quite sure why not many people have heard of this place since it is one of the best Italian restaurants in London. My problem with Italian Restaurants is that I never know what to order! However the menu here is tapas-style, so it's designed for sharing! Everything I've ordered here was delicious. The staff are very welcoming but at times can be overbearing with the whole Italian act. Nonetheless it's worth putting up with...
I must say I am a bit disappointed that not many people have heard about Cicchetti. My mom is italian therefore I have a very sensitive taste for italian food and living in London made me realise that its quite limited to get hold of an authentic italian restaurant however my expectations where met in Cicchetti. Not only was I pleased about the tapas concept in which you get to try a lot of small different dishes but also because all of those various dishes were delightful in all manners. From the pasta to pizza and the meat dishes, everything was supurb and up to the italian standard that im used to.
We had literally been walking all over central London looking for a place to dine that was inexpensive but also not just your average chain. Some places looked ideal but had long queues - our stomachs couldn't take the wait! Finally, we came across the San Carlo Cicchetti in Covent Garden. After peering in and seeing that there was no queue and a table had just been made available, we went in.
The atmosphere inside was absolutely lovely - very warm and classy with marble walls and beautiful lighting. The service was exceptional, with a friendly hostess welcoming us in and a very attentive waiter - all the staff are also fluent in Italian it seems, and we saw them engaging in some lively Italian discussions with the customers next to us. It's a good sign when there are native Italians in an Italian restaurant!
When looking at the prices, we wondered at first how they were so low considering the surrounds. We then realised that the Cicchetti is like an Italian version of a Spanish tapas bar. They serve small dishes which would typically be served in Cicchetti bars in Venice, and when ordering and sharing several plates together you can make a meal out of them. They recommend 5-6 plates between two people but actually the portions aren't that small and we felt quite well fed with just three plates between the two of us.
First of all, if you don't order the lobster risotto you are doing yourself a MASSIVE injustice! Even the Italians next to us chose the risotto as their first item as well. I don't eat risotto that much, but this was the best I've ever had. The rice was thick and soft, in a beautiful sauce with delicious lobster. I was literally savouring every grain!
We then ordered the Calabrese pizza with nduja sausage and buffalo mozzarella. For me it was very tasty but a bit oily on the bottom and I would've liked the sausage to be a bit more substantial. My friend however was very much enamoured with the pizza so I guess it's just a matter of opinion!
As a third dish we had the pork belly with potatoes and cabbage. The pork was a fair size and the potatoes were wonderfully soft. The cabbage was surprisingly juicy and complimented the meat and potatoes very well, though the sauce was a bit salty.
Altogether the meal cost us just £15 each so it's a very highly recommended place to have top quality, authentic Italian food in a gorgeous setting. I'm surprised the Zomato rating for San Carlo Cicchetti isn't higher as my experience of it was divine!
One of the best Italians in London. Excellent ingredients used to make a variety of different dishes that come in small platters to share. The gorgonzola gnocchi was my favorite, served in a parmesan bowl that is a nice way to finish your dish. The burrata is also a must try. Atmosphere is casual, very lively and loud. Staff is welcoming and friendly and willing to help.
First time here and the food and service was amazing!! The idea of getting a few small dishes to share is perfect! The service was amazing too and I would definitely go back again! Only complaint is the space, restaurant was a bit on the cosy side, if anything, they need to expand!!
Tasty. Efficient. Aesthetically pleasing. 👍
Great place to eat in between visiting art galleries or before theatre. The staff were very efficient and were able to serve me within 20 minutes even though the restaurant was quite full. Will come again to try out their cocktails 🫶
Incredible food and service. Only downside was having the first table through the door so constantly had people standing behind us waiting for a table, with some having no special awareness and basically leaning against the back of my chair. Please put a please wait here sign at the door, it ruined the end of our meal and created a atmosphere.
It's one of my favourite places if i need to have a quick bite any time of the day. The restaurant serves tapas style but Italian food. That means every dish is small so you can order more dishes to share. Food is good but staff are not so attentive. Needed to wait quite a while to place orders or get something from them.

Friendly greetings start off the Italian tapas experience in this restaurant. Fantastic choices, all freshly made, in a busy restaurant full of hard working staff. Went here for pre-theater dinner and done in time to walk to our seats for the show
I cannot scream and shout enough about this little place. First of all.
Get the margarita from the bar. It’s amazing. And while we are on the subject of the bar. They are just incredibly fast! The service is next to none.
Diego was just the most perfect bartender. Him and the bar team never stopped moving. Never stopped working. Never stopped polishing or serving.
Not one moment did they stand still !!!
Now onto the food.
Do yourself a favour and order a few oysters for yourself. (And then maybe a few more for your date) bec I sure as hell didn’t share at all.
The tuna tartar as well.
Those are the be all and end all of my amazing evening.
Now the staff!!!!!!
I don’t even know where to begin!
The hostess at the door welcomed us so warmly.
The GM Fabritizo was engaging and chatted about this beautiful restaurant.
My husband and I who both work within hospitality, and know the ins and outs of it.
We saw a well oiled team. A calm environment - (even if the staff might be rushed off their feet. They did not show a glimpse of stress)
Honestly.
Do not walk past this little place and be tricked by the small entrance.
It opens up to so much more!!!!
Thank you Fabritzo, Diego and the rest of the Cicchetti team. It was an unplanned visit and we felt so welcomed at the bar and just enjoyed from the moment we walked in.
To the moment we left!!!
And we will 110% be back.
Great location for a meal with nice ambiance.
I stumbled upon here as I was heading to Harrods and it was a wonderful find.
Since my dog is always with me, we sat comfortably outside and enjoyed people watching.
Lovely experience.
Very good experience , food was delicious .. We have been there before and Cicchetti Covent Garden never disappoint. Highly recommended.
The Truffle Ravioli is definitely the must-try dish!! Will be back many times only for this creamy cheesy satisfaction🤤
This is a superb restaurant choice in Covent Garden. The place is very clean, bright and really nicely laid out, the tables are spacious and everything is comfortable, the atmosphere is great, its a nice place for a good chat with your friends or family. The menu is perfect and the tapas style means everything is perfectly fresh and delicious. Lovely home made dishes to share, perfect. The service is the best around, there are lots of proffesional and friendly staff to look after you and explain the menu and attend to your requests. Highly recommended, we can't wait to return. “Buon appetito”!

A vibrant and lively place. Fabrizio ensured that everything was managed efficiently, as well as great food being served by friendly staff.
Chanced upon this place and the pre theatre menu fitted the bill for our appetite. The concept of Italian tapas and medium sized plates described by attentive waiters. Ample portions, nice setting, bright and with a nice atmosphere. Felt special...the pre theatre fixed price was reasonable for our budget...but was lots of options to choose from. Will likely return.
We had a fantastic night at Cicchetti. We were a large group (there was 9 of us) and they accommodated us a really well. Delna served us and she was fantastic, especially when hosting such a large group. We really appreciated her fantastic service and the whole night was 10/10. Thank you! We will be back.
It was a fantastic place to have brunch. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Food was beyond delicious. Great for a large group of friends to try different foods! Tapas style restaurant.
We stumbled across this beauty of a restaurant and would most definitely return again. The food was beautiful and the portions were more than adequate. The staff were wonderfully attentive and friendly.
The negronis (a favourite of mine) which wasn't on the menu, were made perfectly, after I was informed and I quote 'we can make any cocktail you desire'
Stunning place, a must visit!
This is an Italian, tapas style restaurant and the dishes are small. The service was excellent and all of the food was nice. The £24.75 mixed grill was made up of one butterflied sausage, one small lamb cutlet, and a small piece of ribeye steak. So be aware that all of the dishes are small portions. At the end of the meal, the waiters brought out a birthday plate for our friend, and sung Happy birthday, which was a nice touch.
