Nice hospitality of the manager...
As I am also a bengali, so things were even better for me.
The interior is quite nice. Only thing i missed is some quality indian music there.
The food was quite good in terms os quanyity n quality.
Tasty Indian. Good Indian in the South Ken area. Higher quality than Brick-Lane destinations, but more expensive.
After much devouring European cuisine over the past weeks, my taste buds requires abit of a kick.. And what better than to use a nice indian meal..After watching the show about how indian curry became so famous in the UK on the Good Food channel make me and my family hungry for some..
Noor Jahan is on Bina Gardens not far from South Kensington, I discovered this place from LondonLovesBusiness’s post for 5 best chicken tikka masala joint.. This place is the curry fix for Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Hugh Grant, Eric Clapton and Rowin Atkinson! So I just even got to check it out
The menu consists of the usual staples of tandoori dishes, meat, fish and vegetarian curries… At first when I arrive at 1pm, the place was empty… That gave me doubt.. But when the food arrives the answer was clear… Looks can be deceiving.. The food was delicious from the meat tandoori to the curries and naan.
The flavours were packed in each curries with the right balance of heat and sweetness.. We got butter chicken, house special chicken tikka masala, garlic, cheese and plain naan and side of spinach and raita (yogurt) to cool down. The chicken inside the butter chicken was grilled before getting into the curry which adds that nice tandoor charred effect while the house special has a little kick that goes well with the naan and spinach.
The tandoori chicken was fragrant, spicy and aromatic.. The meat was tender an moist… Really good!
I’m not surprised at all why the Hollywood A-listers enjoy the food here, it was delicious and would surely cure your curry cravings.. At price around £10 per dish for the curries and meat and £2-£5 for the side dishes in an area this posh is a good deal…
So give it a try when around..

Very good indian food. A bit loud and dark in there but the food is great! You can always tell how good an indian restaurant is by how their papadams are. They were goooooooood! Loved it
Fantastic swift friendly service in this family run eatery. Our fiends have been dining at Noor Jahan for a very long time and the food is exceptional.
We arrived without booking in a group of 9 (we did call ahead) after being told the wait at Dishoom would be over an hour!
Great ambience in this intimate restaurant and we will definitely be returning on our next trip to London. You should too!
Lovely traditional Indian cuisine, with exceptional friendly and accommodating service. We joined with our three small children and they were very welcoming!
Thank you kindly!
My wife and I came to this restaurant on our honeymoon 12 years ago. Ever since it's stuck in my mind as the benchmark of a great neighborhood Indian restaurant. I was glad to see it still there when we returned with our children this year.
We were warmly greeted by the staff and they helped us navigate the menu and place an order which both the adults and young children would love. The food is out of this world amazing. Nothing too fancy or over the top. Just classics done right. If I could bottle the aroma of their sizzling tandoori plates, I would.
We have eaten some fairly forgettable Indian food in London, at both tourist traps and over-hyped trendsetters, this is neither. It's worth a trip (we came over from Mayfair). Incredible food, warm service, classy but unpretentious ambiance.
This was my go to curry house in the mid-90’s when living in London. Took my colleagues while visiting in 2022 and it’s still a rock solid great curry. Food is excellent. Service is friendly and professional. Best peshwari naan in London. And always an interesting clientele.

Exceptional food, great variety, everything was delicious and I'm recommending it to everyone!
Nice indian restaurant! Good food and nice staff.
Best Indian meal I have had in probably ten years, service was amazing and the staff was incredibly kind and informative. Portions were perfect for us, all food was delicious and well worth the price. Would absolutely recommend to anyone in the area.
Delicious and great service. Can’t wait to come back
Awesome spot we walked to, the owner treated us like family. Will be back
We ate here last night and absolutely loved it. The whole experience felt deeply nostalgic, from the chutneys arriving in steel serving bowls with crisp poppadums, linen napkins shaped like bishop's hats, and mint chocolates brought with the bill at the end. The owner and staff were attentive and professional and made us feel right at home. I'm delighted that we found a solid Indian restaurant near us and can't wait to go back.
Really one of the best Indian restaurants in the world. Been going here for 20 years or so and they have never disappointed. Sometimes they rush you through a little but that is really just their style. Cant help but still loving this place.
Fast service and always smiling, good food and a good place.
