Best service and hospitality in London from our new friend Kyle! One of the oldest pubs in London, this place is not to be missed if you are anywhere near the Barbican area (and worth the journey if you are a bit farther away). Incredibly easy to access from the Barbican/Farringdon tube stops. So mu
Great pub, good selection of beer and cider, helpful bar staff and always seem to find a table inside as most people are drinking outside

❤️ A charming historic pub that will transport you back in time.
.
The Hand & Shears is located in a quite backstreet just a stones throw from Smithfield Market. The nearest tube is Barbican but I would recommend walking from Farringdon station to take in the sights and soun
Excellent pub, great beer, wonderful staff. Not much more to be said. Oh, and extremely handy for Farringdon on the Elizabeth Line, opposite exit to the main station
A wonderful refuge on the edge of Smithfield Market. Great beer, well kept and service with good grace and humour. A history of St. Bart's Hospital awaits inside with many irreverent cartoons to see. Lovely staff and wonderful visitors all enjoying the story. I thoroughly recommend a visit to drink
This is one of the oldest pubs in the Smithfield Market area. The date above the door states 1532 but the current building is slightly older, built around 1852, but it has changed little since then.
The two entrances state ‘Public Bar’ and ‘Saloon Bar’, but these days the ground floor is a relativ
"Proper" City of London boozer hidden the maze of medieval layout of streets around Smithfield market. Good selection of beers, some food, fast service an it retains the old Public and Private bars that were ripped out of most pubs post war. Well worth a visit when your in the area.
Cracking pint, cracking gaff - only come in about once every two or three weeks but the beer (and the welcome) are always good - not much more you could ask for really.
Great pub, a quiet little space for a leisurely pint. Not ooen atcweekends though.
Another old school gem hidden away, polite service good beer especially timmy Taylor. A small old traditional pub worth a visit
Ptoper old school traditional back street London pub.
Has character.
Several small oak panelled bars.
Visited here with a group of work colleagues
Great service from Carl behind the bar and one of the best pints of Guinness you'll get in London
Fantastic cosy old wooden pub with a great beer and wine selection. Carl, the manager is a lovely chap too. Well worth a visit.
Great traditional wood-pannelled pub. There's a decent selection of cask beer (Tim Taylor, Hophead, Doombar, Sharps Coaster plus guests) which seem to be well kept. The pub is broken up into nice smaller areas so you can find yourself a comfortable nook. Music plays but it was some nice quiet blues
Awesome historical pub. Amazing place. Cozy nice old pub.
Good boozer which has a youthful vibe. Plenty of good ale and lagers together with a good wine selection. A place for young, and older alike. Not to be missed, especially the vv friendly staff. Highly recommended
Lovely, traditional pub - easily missed it you only stay in the main roads. Small and cosy downstairs (plus the 1 table 'lounge' to right of door is unusual!), but more starting upstairs. Good pint of Landlord.
Great little pub. Loved the locally brewed cask 'House Ale' served to perfection . The pork pie bar snack was one of the best pork pies I have had. Friendly staff as well, so all good.
Nice place for a quick pint on the way to the Old Red Cow. ;-)
