Would have to give this wonderful place a 5star! Would give more if I could! Only a small place but very relaxed. The waiter we had was so very nice. He spoke to my 4 year old daughter and asked her what she would like, explaining what they had to offer her! She felt very grown up! My pizza which was the veg special as I'm vegetarian was amazing. Loved every single piece of it. Would go as far as saying the best pizza I ever had!I wouldn't usually eat all my pizza but with exception of one slice given to my husband....(standard!) I ate the lot!
Nice atmosphere,my daughter got to see how good pizza is made, flipped and put in the pizza oven. She learnt a lot! Would highly recommend and will be returning!
Deliciously large pizzas and friendly staff. 2 pizzas & 2 drinks for under a score! We'll be back again to taste the rest of the menu.
Really large pizzas, good value and always fresh. Good view of the chefs at work from some seats, which kids love. Free tap water brought without needing to ask. Always busy but never too long to wait. You might wait a bit for a seat.
Kid-friendly, fun restaurant.
The best pizzas in the Universe, the lowest prices...my fav pizza place.
Food was lovely and staff were very polite and helpful would highly recommend this restaurant.
A lovely local - friendly staff and tasty, authentic pizza. Highly recommended.
Before the mass popularisation of wood-fired pizza, there was a little known place in a then "up-and-coming" hotspot called Market Row in Brixton which was churning them out like noones business. This was Franco Manca.
Now numbering 18 strong across London, to say that they are a chain is an understatement but to assume that means the quality of the pizza has diminished is foolish.
Coming back for the first time in a while, I can hand-on-heart say that I've rekindled my love of this place and their slow-raising sourdough pizzas. Flavour combos are spot on, dough is fresh, fragrant and has a tantalising resistance to it and pizzas are generous to say the least.
The wild broccoli, mozzarella and old spot sausage pizza is fantastic but I must give a special mention their Gloucester Old spot ham, mozzarella, buffalo ricotta and wild mushroom number which is RIDIC and by far my favourite. Though available as a bianca or with tomato, I always choose tomato to give it that extra little tanginess which is just so moreish.
With an affogato to call dessert and to help stave off the food coma, I'm relieved to see that success has not lead to a compromise in quality at Franco Manca. It is every bit as good as I remember and I shan't be away for long.

I whooped with joy when I learned Franco Manca was opening up in East Dulwich, close to my Forest HIll home.
I love their no-nonsense attitude to good, simple food done well and only as expensive as it needs to be, rather than to a price-tag prompted by greed and a belief it'll trick diners into thinking the food is better than it really is.
There's no guarantee that a new FM is going to be as good as its predecessor. But rest assured folks: this one is just as good.
I took my parents for lunch and you know what difficult customers they can be. Starters were perfect. Buratta Pugliese (£5.25) was so fresh, the skin yielding to reveal its gloriously creamy, cool innards while the Culatello Platter (£5.25) saw a pile of thick-cut melt-in-the-mouth prosciutto served with warm sourdough toast. Both were brilliant value. We also had a salad, just £2.25.
For pizza, I chose Wild Broccoli, Mozzarella with Gloucester Old Spot Sausage (£6.85). A white pizza, the brocolli lent an almost bitterness that cut through the creaminess of the abundant cheese while the sausage was out of this world.
Others ordered a Gloucester Old Spot Ham, Ricotta and Wild Mushroom pizza (£6.85) and a Garlic, Oregano, Capers, Olives and Anchovy Pizza (£6.70). Both were super especially the latter, bursting with umami flavours.
Nice wine too., as I'd expect from Barbera. This is organic to boot, yet still only £3.50 for a 175ml glass, or £13.95 for a bottle.
Mention must go to the lovely Umberto too. What a waiter. He was awesome and I felt like hugging him as we left, he was so sound.
All that for less than £40. What can I say?
When I moved to London eight years ago it wasn’t easy to find good, authentic Neapolitan pizza. Then, four or five years ago, one name began popping up in conversations with fellow Italian expats: Franco Manca. Today Franco Manca is one of my favourite pizzerias in London. Living ten minutes’ walk from the original Brixton restaurant (they now have ten branches in the city) means we eat there regularly. We know when to go to avoid queues and what to order.
Recently I had the pleasure to eat at the new Franco Manca restaurant in East Dulwich for a soft launch ahead of today’s opening. It was my first experience in a “real” Franco Manca restaurant (the other two I tried before are in a market – Brixton – and in a shopping centre – Stratford) and I liked the modern and warm interiors.
I tried one of the starters (a dish from the “small bites” menu): Burrata & Almonds, Wild Pig Prosciutto. It was very good.
For the pizza I tasted a Mozzarella, Tomato, Aubergines, Pancetta, Watercress. I asked the waitress to have it without watercress and added Parmigiano Reggiano shavings instead. Again very good quality of dough and ingredients.
Franco Manca are famous for their sourdough pizza dough, which makes a highly digestible pizza and it’s true! I barely eat any bread nowadays and I was worried about feeling bloated after last night’s pizza, but I felt great afterwards. They use a soft wheat flour that at the end of the long fermentation process exhausts its starch content, so the result is a digestible product.
After the pizza we treated ourselves to dessert: a sticky and light Neapolitan Caprese Cake made with almond flour and served with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream.
The word that is sounded out at Franco Manca is " Organic or Sourdough" whether it be organic lemonade or the showpiece pizza.
I'll have to be honest, I have a love/hate relationship with pizza, many years of Pizza Hut and dominos have subsided my love for the dish.....However in Naples I was reacquainted with my love.
So with Franco Manca I did not know what to expect, would it reach the highest of Naples or be a Pizza Hut bust.....well it fell somewhere in between.
The pizza was freshly made and from the stunning wood brick oven which takes prime place in the centre of the restaurant.....hard work has gone into the pizza you receive as slow rising sourdough is the show piece with various flavourings available to chose from.
At times the pizza can be bland, however I think that's down to choice, it's worth going for the pizza with Gloucester old spot ham pizza as its the most flavoursome, you can also for a small fee add more toppings to your pizza of choice.
With a fresh interior and relaxed setting this particular branch has got queues that are 20 strong! It's tight seating but when the pizza comes that's the least you think about & with the prices at £6.85 per pizza you can't go wrong.
Try the fresh apple juice and organic lemonade that comes in a unusual bottle that is accompanied by a equally unusual taste.
The staff are kind and friendly but you can still tell this is a new branch as they are not yet going through all the gears of a accomplished restaurant.
Putting that all together,I'd say worth a visit!

Great pizza, friendly staff, good atmosphere but 'optional table service' 10% automatically added. They bring you the food you ordered. And that's 10% but successfully removed by manager. Thank you. If it wasn't on my overdraft I have left on the bill.
Thank you so much Nariman for good service.
Staff was taking care about us and service was good.
Unfortunately they didn’t have desserts which I wanted, but my friend had pizza and it was really tasty.
We will definitely recommend this cozy place for our friends.
Nice tasty pizzas with perfect dough! Service was great and its a great place for kids (got a kids pizza menu, pens and paper for drawing, and kids get complimentary soft drink and ice cream with their pizza ☺️
Excellent pizza and fresh lemonade. Dessert great too. Quality has really improved since last time we came. Well done. Excellent service too with Raffaella who is a very nice and professional waitress.

Good evening,
I usually don’t write reviews but this time I had to do it because the service was exceptional. We were served by a very young lady, Jennifer, who was very attentive and courteous.
I went with my children to enjoy a nice meal out and I was impressed by the great skills and service given by Jennifer. She went extra mile to make sure my kids had the right meal as one of them is celiac. She put our minds at ease by assuring us that everything was going to be fine and she double checked everything.
The place was very organised and the food was delicious.
We definitely need more hardworking people like Jennifer because she definitely made our day!
Thank you
Lovely atmosphere to have a meal with friend or family. Prices and food are great! Our waitress Nariman was very kind :)
Franco Manca is always a good bet for a tasty meal, and even more so at this location with Nariman's top service. Great and welcoming waitress that made the meal even more enjoyable, will be back!
I came in with my 3 year old just to make sure he was fed and we ended up having a really nice time. The food was delicious and the service spot on! Normally a picky eater, my son at all of his cheese pizza and only allowed me to eat some of his crust :) Garbriel was very friendly and helpful making sure we had everything we needed. He even took the time to answer some questions about the area since we weren’t familiar.
We had a fantastic time at Franco Manca in East Dulwich; our waiter, Raffaella, was excellent; she guided us in choosing dinner and made our experience unforgettable.
One of the greatest pizzas I've ever tasted, without a doubt. Both the surroundings and the staff are lovely. I'm already itching to go back!
Franco Manca is great and this one is in an awesome location. The gluten free pizza's are amazing! Love the selection of toppings too. They're light and fluffy - just like when I was able to eat normal pizza. Much better than any others I've tried. They were worth the wait. The only annoying thing is that they don't always have them available.
Our favourite Franco Manca branch - delicious pizzas, and truly fantastic service! They are always so friendly and welcoming with our little one too.
Nice and cosy atmosphere. Pizza ls are delicious and freshly made. I loved the sausage pizza lovely just a bit salty though.
Delicious pizza! clean and neat , First time we have been to the new restaurant in Hove. Nice atmosphere, good service and the waiter looked after us in a friendly manner. We will definitely return.
Absolutely first rate lunch for my son and I. We're were offered a seat by the kitchen so we could watch the chefs making pizza. Brilliant value food, top rate toppings and dough. £5 menu for kids with pizza, drink and ice cream. Food arrived really fast too. Staff were brilliant with little one, lots of goofing about and talking to him like he is a real person. We left so happy. Thank you.
