Great location and ideal at the weekend for lunch. Quieter than the week. We went with the kids and had a great lunch. Can recommend the iberico ham which was melt in the mouth, the octopus and the mini pork burgers but everything we had was fabulous. Don't leave without trying the chocolate pot with salt and olive oil. Will definitely be back!

We had the most amazing meal last night proper Spanish food in London. We had fantastic chicken in almond sauce, tuna belly and prawn fritters and the list could go on! The staff are probably some of the friendliest and understatedly professional in town. We have eaten here and other two Pizarro restaurants and they are all top notch.

I met Jose at Taste of London last year, such a lovely and generous man. This is why I booked for us to eat there. Possibly the best prawns I've ever eaten and definitely the best Calamari.you must visit!

Wonderful food. So many choices. Because it is tapas type portions one person can have lots of dishes and lots of variety. I have not completed my experience in José Pizzaro’s restaurants. I still have so many things to try. I will have to find a date in my routine where I can go back, hopefully before the end of the year and if not, I will definitely be back again some time in the new year. I think the quality vs the price is amazing when you think about the cost of the equivalent standard of French or Italian cuisine.

One of the best Spanish chefs in England. The food he cooks has so much flavours and love. I will always remember his patatas bravas and the goat cheese with honey.

Finally the city has an amazing Spanish tapas place to be proud of. Situated in the newly opened and fabulous Broadgate Circle bang in the middle of the city (not great if you're allergic to suits ;) ), a perfect place to meet up with friends or colleagues. Every dish is expertly cooked- I could not stop eating! (That's a great sign!)

Broadgate Circle; once a forgotten wasteland in the City, it has now completely revolutionised itself into a culinary haven boasting names such as Yuatacha, Street Kitchen, Shoryu Ramen and Franco Manca among its rank of top eateries. Holding a rightful place in this line up is the third coming from renown chef Jose Pizzaro.

As one of the godfathers of the popular Brindisa chain of restaurants, Jose had little to prove but this did not stop him from opening his first solo venture, Jose Tapas Bar, in 2011. With Jose Pizzaro (Broadgate), he seeks to cement his legacy on the London dining scene with true Spanish flair.

Today I came for breakfast to try the famed orange torrijas of Spanish eggy bread with star anise and cinnamon which set Taste of London 2015 on fire. It only took one bite to understand why. A thick slice of sourdough saturated with egg then drenched in a tart orange reduction, it was beautifully tart and provided a real treat for the taste buds as flavours danced from sweet to sour.

However, not content with just one item, I moved on to the organic yoghurt with apricot and orange blossom honey (a solid choice if not a bit boring) to round out what was a great breakfast.

All in all, good meal and a solid option within the area. The orange torrijas is a must but I would probably go for the Spanish breakfast on a return visit.

Described by some as a glorified food court, Broadgate Circle, which is right by Liverpool Street Station, has had rather a lot of money thrown at it. The result is actually rather charming and there’s shed a load of restaurants there; Franco Manca, Shoryu, Yauatcha and this, José Pizarro’s third restaurant.

Ratio decidendi: Pricey but worth it if you’re careful with your ordering. While the Presa Iberico (understandably) remains the main drawcard, but it’s the [] on the brunch menu that’ll have me coming back. Salient features:. The Presa Iberico (67.50) is a must for any first time visitor if for no reason other than to redefine what pork can taste like. On first inspection it’s hard to believe you’ve just been served pork.

Great location for tapas, aimed at the right crowd. Ever since broadgate circle reopened it has been buzzing. Nestled in the heart of the city it is an enclave filled with higher end restaurants -- many of whom have had success elsewhere in London like José pizzaro.

I came here with a friend and tried a sample of their tapas dishes. From padron peppers, prawn fritters, and croquetas, to grilled octopus, all the dishes were served promptly (within 5-10mins), and to high standard. I particularly liked the croquetas, and paired with a nice glass of wine the bill came to about 25 a head.

José Pizarro fills up quickly at lunch time, and for one of the few tapas places I have tried in london, definitely warrants a visit!

It’s always sad when a restaurant closes down (perhaps not the case for Bo London), but it’s even more of a shame when it’s as much loved as Koya on Frith Street. Next door, however, is its sister, Koya Bar, which ain’t going anywhere and I finally got round to popping in for lunch.

I bagged a spot at the launch party dinner and even got to meet the man himself Jose Pizarro, who was absolutely lovely. The food was great as expected, I've recently been to the Bermondsey branch so knew I was in for a treat. The 5J Jamon was incredible the taste of acorns was so intense. Other incredible dishes were the prawn fritters, spinach croquettes and chorizo in cava! Amazing food at a great new venue

Broadgate Circus (behind Liverpool Street station) has become more exciting as it has been transformed to include a variety of restaurants and with more expecting to open soon. José Pizarro is one of the restaurant who has home his third branch in Broadgate Circus, serving Spanish tapas to city workers in the area.

The restaurant has 65 covers and so is a lot bigger than the tiny, intimate José; a lot of money has been invested in the fit-out, designed by CADA – there are some nice features, including concrete panels with patterns inspired by Pizzaro’s Extremadura hometown, but on the whole it feels a bit corporate (I much prefer the rustically decorated José).  The menu is mainly composed of tapas dishes and charcuterie, they also serve a range of Spanish breakfast dishes which I think will be a hit with local desk monkeys.   We started with some decent padron peppers (£5) and some beautifully rich and nutty Jamón ibérico de bellota (ie acorn-fed ibérico ham) sourced from Cinco Jotas (albeit for a whopping £23).  Next, we had some grilled octopus with Catalan olive oil (£10) – the octopus was cooked perfectly so it was soft and melt in the mouth; its salty, sea flavour was enhanced by the rich olive oil and a hint of paprika.

We were a table of 4 at the fully booked soft launch, sharing lots of tapas.

The first dishes of our order to arrive were the tapas classics of  bread and tomatoes, pimientos de padron and croquetas.  All really good.  Then we had a 15 minute wait for the next round of dishes.  It's a pity they didn't serve our orders Spanish conservas at this point (both the mussels and sardines).  These were served right at the end of meal, literally in their tins, and were a bit of an anticlimax.

Service was a little fussy for my taste, as they kept clearing our plates and cutlery and giving us new implements throughout the meal.  There was even one point when a server asked if we wanted new plates.  He thank us when we declined but a few minutes later someone else came and cleared everything away nonetheless.  I always dislike it when waiters refill my wine glass, making it more difficult to pace alcohol consumption.

The next round of food formed the highlight of the meal.  Pan fried chicken livers, asparagus with poached egg and romescu and very tender grilled octopus.  The chicken livers were the best dish of the night, the romescu sauce on the asparagus was amazing too.   We ordered extra bread at this point to soak up all the fabulous sauces.  The olive oil that came with the bread was incidentally outstanding and very floral.

Next we got Jamon Iberico and albondigas and a side of roast new potatos drizzled with both red romescu and green salsa verde.   One of my companions was a big fan of the tomato sauce on the meat balls.  We could identify nutmeg and bay leaf, but the herbal/spice notes were quite complex.  The acorn fed jamon was absolutely delicious but quite pricey for the serving size.  We also had the grilled baby gems with blue cheese and anchovies which was a very good dish.

It was a bit of a disappointment to end the meal with our order of tinned sardines and mussels.  However, the accompanying salads with honey laced dressing was really nice.

Some of my dining companions wanted dessert but the two hour time slot of our reservation was used up once we got our conservas. This was due to the way our order trickled in, punctuated with gaps and pauses.  I assume that  timely food delivery is an issue that will get resolved during the soft launch phase.  However, it did force us to forego dessert.

If we had being paying full price, our bill would have been £160 including service and two bottles of house wine.  Okay given the quality of our dishes, but on a second visit I wouldn't bother with ordering the conservas or albondigas.

Incredible food as always at a José Pizarro restaurant and this branch is no exception! The tapas selection was very comprehensive and each portion was beautifully presented. However, we felt that the atmosphere of this particular branch was a bit cold as opposed to the flagship on Bermondsey St. The overall environment was also quite loud but that’s mainly because of surrounding bars on Broadgate Circle so nothing that can be changed by the restaurant sadly. I still had to knock down one start though as I felt the service was also a bit rushed and sometimes hesitant which made the overall experience a little bit pushy (we ate 6-8 tapas and dessert in literally 45mins and felt like we were pushed to finish as soon as possible even though the restaurant was not full). Anyway, we had a good experience overall but will not probably return at this specific branch.

Very good pan con tomate. The pulpo and ibérico pork were excellent. Prawns and tortilla were ok, nothing special. The wine selection gets pricey pretty quickly, but many choices by the glass. The bread is dry and the basque cheesecake is dense and also a bit dry. Pretty loud inside, so not the nicest.

We had a lovely dinner here. The portion is not big but we could try a few more dishes. Food was tasty and fresh. Price was reasonable. The octopus is for sure recommended. Just the sourdough bread was not so good compared to the other restaurant in general.

Always excellent food and service and lovely to sit at the counter and watch the chefs at work or outdoors in Broadgate Circle when the sun is shining. We visit José's various locations a few times a year and highly recommend the excellent tapas, including piping hot croquettes, the highest quality, beautifully sliced jamon iberico, juicy & tasty mini burgers, crisp pan con tomate, fresh seafood (polpo/prawns) and outstanding presa/pluma. Their tortilla is also one of the best we've ever had. Staff are always super friendly and very well informed.

Stunning food. Glorious Sangria. Warm and welcoming staff. I also include the security chap at the door who was super kind in checking that they did Sangria by the glass for me. Highly recommended if you enjoy small (very filling) plates and glasses of happiness. Sangria Cava Pan con tomato Bunuelos de gambas Plumage Iberica White Sangria I initially only came in for a drink, so was seated at the bar, but then I decided to try some plates. I hope, in the future that if I book or if its quiet I can get a table as its more comfortable for me to sit on a chair and not a bar stool. I shall certainly be back! I can already hear the Tapas, Sangria and Gin Mare calling me..

They were very busy, but staff tried hard to make sure everyone was attended to. Tapas were served fast and very tasty. Iberico ham was bellota and above average quality, plus decent serving size for price.

Nice tapas in Catalan style. Tortilla was still dense for my liking but the blue cheese and spinach croquettes were great. Very busy during after work hours.

We ordered sour dough, tomato bread, two croquette (one meat, one veg), clams, pork and two desserts. All are quite nice. Can't take food too salty and their seasoning just right. Staffs are friendly. My favourite is the pork. So tender like beef. Medium rare. Really delighted. The cheese cake is nice. It will be better to not come with layer of jam, but whipping cream.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a tapas restaurant in the Broadgate Liverpool Street area and let me tell you, it was a truly exceptional experience. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warm smiles and a palpable sense of hospitality, especially thanks to the amazing Jairo. Now, let's talk about the food. Oh boy, where do I even begin? The tapas selection at this place is a culinary dream come true. Their jamón ibérico was simply mouthwatering, with its rich, melt-in-your-mouth flavor that left me wanting more. It was the perfect start to our meal and set the bar high for what was to come. Next up, the ensaladilla rusa. I am typically not a fan of salads, but this one was like no other. Bursting with fresh and perfectly diced vegetables, it was both refreshing and satisfying. The combination of flavors and textures was simply divine, making it an instant favorite. But let's not forget about the croquetas de jamón ibérico. These little bites of heaven were incredibly creamy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Each bite was a burst of savory goodness, showcasing the high-quality jamón ibérico that was used. It's safe to say that I am now officially obsessed with these croquetas. Moving on to the octopus, it was cooked to absolute perfection. Tender, flavorful, and seasoned just right, it was a true testament to the skill and expertise of the chefs. The presentation was also top-notch, with each piece artfully arranged on the plate. It was a treat for both the eyes and the taste buds. Now, let's talk about the grand finale - the basque cheesecake. I have had cheesecakes from various places, but this one truly stood out. It was creamy, rich, and had the perfect balance of sweetness. The crust was perfectly crisp, adding a delightful contrast in texture. I could have easily devoured the entire cheesecake on my own, it was that good. Lastly, I want to express my utmost gratitude to Jairo for his exceptional hospitality. His warm smile and attentive service elevated the entire dining experience. It's rare to find a restaurant where the staff genuinely cares about their customers, and Jairo truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and attended to. Overall, I cannot recommend this tapas restaurant in Broadgate Liverpool Street enough. The food, the service, and the ambiance were all impeccable. So, if you find yourself in the area, make sure to try the jamón ibérico, ensaladilla rusa, croquetas de jamón ibérico, octopus, and the heavenly basque cheesecake. And don't forget to thank Jairo for adding that extra touch of excellence to your dining experience.
