I love the fried rice. It tasted really good. Simple and delicious and the portion was enough for two. Definitely a good place to get a fix of Malaysian food when you are far away from home.

All in all a good restaurant with solid quality food and very attentive service. We had sashimi & rainbow rolls to start with, which we all very satisfactory, but not overly exciting at the same time. We continued with a hot main courses of yellowtail jaw, which had a lot of tender meat on it (surprisingly, it's a jaw after all!), but I know for myself. Is that I prefer yellowtail as sashimi rather than cooked, because the flavour somewhat gets lost with cooking. The lamb chops were rather disappointing unfortunately as they were over salted and a bit chewy too. Green tea ice cream was good, however I prefer it plain, while Izakaya serves it on a bed of crunch garnished with chocolate chips. All in all a good meal but somewhat unexciting. Would I return to Izakaya? Certainly if I happen to be in the area, but I would definitely stick to sashimi and rolls.

This is an excellent Malaysian restaurant on the fringe of China town, situated in a small alley. It may be a bit difficult to find, but certainly worth the trouble. Their Singapore Laksa is spicy and has a generous portion of prawns, fishballs, beancurd. I loved their Nasi Lemak too, and I can especially recommend the Roti Canai as a starter.

This is a unique Japanese restaurant which stands out from others. The food is perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. There is a huge amount of choice (including some unique dishes that I haven't found anywhere else) and it is well worth ordering a few different dishes and sharing in a group. The unlimited refill green tea was also a nice touch, and the service was very good. A bit on the pricey side, but I will definitely be coming here again.

Really great place. Lovely service, great food for value. We ordered a LOT of Maki’s, starters, sushi and some rice. We liked everything, and for london prices, pretty good value for money. Their special sushi was my absolute favourite though we didn’t take a photo cause it was finished within seconds! They had botan Ebi with truffle and it was top.

We don't know of any Japanese restaurant in London that offers a fully Halal food menu other than C&R Izakaya. With an extensive menu, including a large sushi section, there's more than enough variety of quality dishes to have you spoilt for choice. After all, how many places offer large, delicious bowls of Halal ramen at very reasonable prices? Not many! The service at C&R Izakaya was superb as well, with ultra-friendly staff who were attentive and prompt. Menu Recommendation Drinks - Tropical World Starter - Tako Yaki Main - Izakaya Seafood Ramen Dessert - Fondant with Matcha Ice Cream HALAL STATUS: Fully Halal food menu (no alcohol used in any dishes) • Alcohol served on the premises

Amazing. I've eaten a lot of sushis all around the world and the freshness of these dishes are amazing. The tuna sashimi stole my heart. Melting like butter with this meaty and oishi taste. A whole umami experience. Share the big platter menu, it's perfect and amazingly prepared. The fusion food maki are really nice too. Their fish selection is terribly good and the rice is perfectly cooked. A must in London.

The crispy duck sushi was the best sushi I’ve ever had but it is quite expensive compared to other places. However this the only place (that I’ve come across) serving all halal meat so there’s no chance of any cross contamination. Service was very good, all the waiters were polite and attentive. The decor is nice and would be good for special occasions. I would definitely be coming back!

Excellent service and very good food. The takoyaki and agedashi tofu were awesome. Sashimi was really good too. The chef's special miso fish was delicious but we thought it was a bit expensive at almost £30.

Really good quality food and great service. The only setback is that some of the dishes are overpriced (not everything). Ramen, sushi, entrees are great value.

Sushi was brilliant. Seafood ramen was amazing . Probably the closest thing I've found to authentic Ramen in London. If only they served chicken ramen as well!
