8.5/10! Excellent chinese seafood food near warren st station!. Since I read some reviews ,I wanted to try the restaurant. Last night(20th May) I went there by chance around 6:30pm. It was very empty when we got there, but After 7:30PM most of the tables were full. so I recommend to book before hand.
The service was very simple and casual.
We ordered Salt& Papper Cristy Squid(perfectly cooked soft squid!:Amazing!), Cantonese Spare Ribs for starters ,then Sizzling Hot Plate Prawns With Ginger &Spring Onions(It's My Favorite!: Perfectly cooked prawns with excellent sauce) , Stir Fried Razor Clams ( their speciality!:but It was just ok) ,Deep fried aubergines with brown sauce and steamed rice. 4 bottles of beer=£60 so £30 per head in all.
If you want to have fresh chinese seafood ,I highly recommended ! It's nice to come in 3 or 4 person and share different dishes.
BTW,Nearest station is warren st station.
They have a wide range of pretty interesting and authentic options to choose from. The food was excellent, especially the Duck Tongues which were cooked to perfection. The ambience is quite decent and fun. The quantity is quite good and the service is pretty fast. The servers were friendly too.
There are a lot of good options when it comes to Chinese cuisine in this city, but this place stands out among all of them in my opinion. They give you a lot of options to customize your food like the choice of animal, what cut you want and the spice level. Worth a visit!
I came to this city, and on my first night here, I was hoping to have something nicer that a conventional fish and chips fare. I stumbled upon this place on a very beautiful weekend evening, and after seeing the menu and speaking to a few patrons, I decided to dine here. I grabbed a seat for a couple and ended up having one of the best dinners I have had in the city.
This is the average kind of place in my opinion, in fact this is a good local restaurant serving Chinese cuisine. The charges for the food is quite appropriate and the quality of food definitely quite good. There are two different menus and i recommend avoiding the take away one, cause it has only satisfactory food. I recommedn trying the green beans and the BBQ skewers.
The restaurant looks like a take away joint with the very simple decor and a small place for dining. The place is quite popular and hence the long queues outside. The restaurant offers good delicious food with the best Kung Pao chicken we have ever had. the service is prompt and the prices are also decent.
This was certainly a cheap place serving average food in a not so good ambiance. We came to this place to enjoy few beers at a reasonable price. They serve some good enough Chinese options that goes off well with your drinks. For forty pound, you get one rice, beer and a main which i think is not a bad deal.
I am a self confessed worshiper of the Chinese cuisine. And have consequently tried all the top quality places which serve the best food. But i was not quite satisfied by any of them. This was because i had not tried the best yet! This is a wonderful place , in fact in my opinion, the food at this place is of supreme quality and the ingredients used super fresh. The dishes then are delightful and has the right amount if hotness to it!
I can believe i have wasted my money for those Michelin star restaurants!
To begin with, the service is efficient and prompt. Coming to the ambience and decor, the place is captivating. Opening to a kitchen, one is enticed into the dishes being cooked in front and the promising food which is going to be served on your table. There is a lunch menu which has number and dishes under 10 pounds and is not on the table! Do try!
This place is consistent and such a delight. Been here quite many times and it has always served perfect dishes. Coming to our orders, razor clams are my favourite, lamb in cumin and beef in chilli stock are amazingly authentic dishes. Schezwan is mouthwatering and delicious. Without second thoughts, the best chinese i have had!
It sometimes happens that a menu is so extensive and full of choice, that it becomes difficult to choose from the number of options available to you. This restaurant made us go through such a dilemma. It has actually been some time since I was faced with such a problem.
I have passed this place quite a lot of times and never really thought of trying it out. Last night i went to this place and it turned out to be an amazing place for Chinese cuisine. They give you an option of two different menu, one consisting of classic Cantonese and the other Schezwan (a tad bit spicy).
This place offers classic dishes which are described in a fairly extensive menu. The food served here is fresh and tastes really spicy. This place has a charming atmosphere and one can have a wholesome, value for money meal.
There is just one negative I wish this place would work on and that is the selection of wine. It is very limited and does not do wonders for me.
This was definitely something different that I was not expecting. When I first came here I made the mistake of not looking at the menu, I was simply guided by a friend's suggestion. I thought I would be getting typical Chinese food that I can find at any basic Chinese restaurant but the menu was so different from what I was expecting that I had a hard time choosing my lunch (I was caught a little off guard by all the intestines and kidney's they had to offer). I decided to play it safe and ordered a soup, because I wasn't feeling especially adventurous this day and it was good.
If you are feeling adventurous then I would suggest coming here because this Chinese food is very different from other places.
I had a wonderful time at the restaurant. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. The cozy atmosphere made for a great dining experience. I'll definitely be coming back!
The food is okay, like normal homemade dishes. People there are very nice. The service is pretty good. I will give 4/5 mainly because of their friendly service.
Very delicious dishes, this restaurant serves. I was very impressed by their fantastic foods and services. Delivering online orders are also very quick. They serve freshly cooked meals with caring the customer’s desires. Indeed!! Highly recommended!!!
I had an absolutely amazing experience! The food was sensational and it is definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants in UK!
Authentic Chinese restaurant with great variety of dishes. Friendly staffs. We tried their razor clams and clams. Both were fresh and delicious.
We stumbled across the Oriental Dragon on a vague search for a good Chinese restaurant and what a great find! A superb array of authentic freshly prepared dishes and friendly staff who know how to look after you. The chef enjoyed having his picture taken, great amusement. A must visit. Jay Rayner seems to think so too which I suppose is a good thing 👍
The food was lovely and just what I needed after a long day. Recommend the vegetable stir fry noodles.
Delicious, generously portioned food and great friendly service. If you are into the hot stuff don’t hesitate and ask for some of their chilli oil.
Very nice food and service 😁
Great service and very authentic and spicy (if you request it) Chinese food. Best Kung Pao I have had in a long time!!
Awesome Chinese food. Really delicious dishes prepared and served properly. Space is a little hole in the wallish and service isn't special but none of that really matters when the food is so tasty and comes so fast. Surprisingly extensive wine menu, two beers, other drinks.
