The Hydrant, Monument - London - Photo album

Great pub, nice atmosphere and fantastic food. We really liked how our sandwich and chicken waffle turned out. Portion sizes were sufficient and the food gave us enough energy for our activities on the rest of the day. We’d like to come back & recommend the Hydrant Monument! :)
Sat outside and had a few beers. Rated 0 stars for food since we didn't eat. Good beer selection. Will go back
Pub next to Momument, with great views of the same. Good range of vegan options. I had the vegan feta toastie with chips, for £10.95, which was very tasty & good value
Just a quick visit for a couple of drinks. Fantastic selection of ales. Tea coffee also available, as is a good choice of food which looks amazing but I didn't try.
Excellent pub food good portions at London prices. Nice setting by the Monument tower. Worth a visit.
Nice bar & good vibe. Central location and on dry evenings nice to see the footfall spill out into the ‘square’ for a proper traditional feel. Like all city bars, will get busy however good service & food/bar snacks were above average.
Great beer, awesome breakfast and afordable prices
My first visit to this bar. Staff were friendly enough, prices about par for the west end. Had 3 beers no food went there for a private function. I don't work west end anymore but if they had a function there I'd probably go monument station nearby especially if it rains.
Popped in tonight to meet a mate for a couple of pints and a light dinner. Beer collection is fantastic (especially the stuff in the fridges).. food offering is decent.. sown great bits to help the beer go down. Was a decent atmosphere tonight, surprisingly busy for a Monday night.. stall were rea
Good selection of beers. London Pride Ale was tasty. Cool atmosphere right next to the The Monument.
Took refuge from the rain here, ordered a beer and as it would - slipped tight out of my wet hands. I pulled out my card for another go - but the bartender had already poured me a replacement on the house. Good people here, made my day a bit brighter :). Also ordered the fish n chips, delightful.
Food was really nice, bbq platter was a good size for our party of 5, but if you are more hungry then definitely order more. Also would have been nicer if the platter was more fresh. But overall very tasty. The fish and chips were really good too. The staff was very accomodating, especially James wh
We had the best time at The Hydrant! 10/10 experience. As soon as we walked in we were sat at a nice table with an amazing view. Excellent place to dine in and the staff was lovely. We were looking for Shepherds pie for a week and they exclusively made us 2 extra pies because they had just run out o
We tried the waffle and fried chicken, it was really good. The chicken was crispy on the ourside and juicy on the inside, the waffle felt fresh and the egg was fried perfectly. The staff was also friendly. The menu had traditional pub items and normal lunch/dinner options and a wide range of craft a
Went here after an event, a decent pub with a great choice of beers. Right next to Monument, which is pretty cool, only issue was it got super busy straight after working hours, so while I would go here again if I was in the area, I wouldn't go out of my way to get here. Didn't try the food.
Modern pub right by the London Monument with a good selection of beers and quite a lot of space for sitting and standing. Doesn't have a whole lot of character but great for a quick pint after work if your office is in the southern part of the City. Haven't tried the food but seems like a good varie
Great beer selection for a City of London pub, lots of crafty options but plenty of regular types too. Helpful and friendly staff, it's a little pricey but it is Monument. Had the baby gem salad with halloumi which was really well done. Solid central London pub.
