This area is absolutely buzzing of late with so much development and Ruby Violet is the latest addition to pop up. The place has a smaller, local producer type feel, using only organic milk, free range eggs and seasonal ingredients in the ice cream. A broad selection of flavours means that all tastes are catered for and regular new creations seem to be added to the menu or in the weekly specials. It’s almost impossible you could leave here feeling unsatisfied with your order! We tried the Belgian Chocolate & Salted Caramel and both held their own. The selection of toppings and sauces finish things of nicely and there’s a decent drinks menu including coffees, hot chocolate and of course, milkshakes. If you fancy taking anything home, there’s also bits and pieces to buy, such as a rather tempting Salted Caramel Sauce for £5. If it’s a nice day, the location makes it ideal to takeaway and sit outside on the grass overlooking the canal, or if the weather isn’t so kind there is a small area for eating inside with a couple of tables. The decor is pleasing on the eye and fits in well with the building and landscape around it. I’m sure I’ll be back here on a warm, sunny day soon!

2 Scoops🍧 ♧blackcurrant ripple, salted caramel & almond nut brittle The milk base of the ice creams had a natural sweet sensation to it. They use organic milk, making it light on the tongue n still packed w milky flavor. The fruit flavors r made w locally sourced, seasonal fresh fruit.💐 The swirls of blackcurrant were a nice boost of fruity zing alongside the creamy milk ice cream.🪻 The nut brittle w the caramel was super decadent n had a crunch n chew to it. Loved the mix of textures n slight saltiness.🍁 There weren’t a lot of flavors to choose from, but it was surely enough. I was very happy w the ones I chose and am looking forward to visiting again for some different flavors! Will be checking out their storefront as well, since I got my ice cream at their food truck this time.

This is one of the better ice cream places in London. Their have limited flavors but between the toppings, hot drinks and sundaes there’s lots of options! I got the small Belgian chocolate ice cream (which was bigger than I expected it to be) and it was absolutely delicious, rich and creamy. The also have a truck that gets stood up in the summers but their store is not too far away.

Delicious flavors of handmade ice cream! We definitely plan to return. The salted caramel with almond brittle was ridiculously good. Cinnamon was similar to an horchata beverage you might find at a Mexican restaurant. The plum and raspberry ripple ice creams were tasty, interesting flavors.

Good ice cream with indoor and nearby outdoor seating. Though a little expensive, very interesting flavours.

Oh yeah, awesome little gem of a place! It's so cute in design, fantastic ice cream too. Sorbets were die for, and I can recommend the Raspberry. Chocolate brownie, caramel as well we're great ice creams. Any time I'm near there I'll make an excuse to visit. You can order online, too, but with a minimum order spend of £35.... I'm not sure I can justify that much of a treat!!!

Raise your hand if you like ice cream a lot! If you are in for a dessert you might as well give it a shot. Ice cream, sorbets, desserts and coffee they've got, Delicious, scrumptious, and tasty just hits the spot. Unexpected flavours like chai tea, and the usual ones even one with salt from the sea. might be tricky in between a few to share and agree, you'll be better off chossing your own and being free.

Situated within the incredible development of Coal Drop's Yard - Ruby Violet is perfectly located to bring refreshment to those wanting to walk along the landscaped canals. The Malted Milk flavour is particularly delicious.

Really lovely place, the ice cream wasn't so sweet that you can taste excessive sugar and appreciate the flavours of the ice-cream. A cute gem which I'm sure I'll visit again

I visit this place every time I pass by to see if they have new flavours. Having experience making ice-creams at home, I can definitely taste the quality of their ingredients. Especially the fruit flavours, taste like real fruit freshly blended and froze! This time I had coffee and coconut flavours, the coffee one has the beans’ sour and bitter notes. The coconut one has a dense texture full of coconut shavings, a must try. The service is also great, everytime I try various flavours to decide which one to buy, the staff there is always patient.

Ruby Violet had great flavours today. I had the stem ginger and the dark chocolate. Delicious. But the blackcurrant and the damson and cream also looked great. Service a little slow, but they were training up a new guy, so understandable. Ice cream was most welcome on a hot day!

Cosy little icecream place with plenty of amazing flavours to choose from. A good selection for those vegan friends out there too, and my vegan expert sings its praises. One thing I do want to moan though: the service was a tad slow. There were 5 people behind the counter, but they might as well just employ 2 because it seemed very inefficient to me. Queues were rapidly forming in the time me and my partner got our orders.

Great fun. Lovely sorbets and hot drinks. The girl at the till was a little unhelpful and non passionate about her job. We asked for something really fun and interesting and she didn't really have any suggestions. But the cafe is a great place. Salted caramel sauce was warm, freshly made!

Great icecreams and sorbets. The flavours are refreshing and tasty. Had the ginger icecream and the lemon sorbet. Just wow! Such amazing flavours. I would love to go back and try more flavours. Highly recommended if you are in the neighbourhood. Lovely staff.

Great ice creams and sorbets. Not cheap but the quality is great! If you ask, they will let you try the flavors. On nice days there might be a line, but they are pretty quick.

The ice cream comes in a generous size but not many flavours to choose from and a bit pricey. The lemon sorbet was too sour and acidic compare to other places i previously had this type of sorbet. The dark chocolate ice cream was a bit grainy not sure why.

Love this little ice cream shop. Both this and the King Cross branch serve outstanding ice cream of a wide range of flavours that you might not expect in an ice cream. The Meringue Muddle was delicious and the ultimate mix of sugary joy. Very much enjoyed it!
