Portena - London - Photo album

Well well only had empañada this time but it is the best we've had so far. It was served warm and the filling was quite generous. Very delicious! Will go again to Porteña as we love to go to Borough Market at least once a month!
Great food, great service and a great price make Porteña a great option for tasting the original Argentinian pastries. I went with my wife and we had an excellent time there. Apart from that, Jimena's customer service is amazing. She is courteous, polite, fast and has great customer service. In con
Portena is a popular Argentinian eatery located in Stoney Street in London. The restaurant specializes in Argentinian street food, and their empanadas are some of the best in the city. The empanadas are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and are filled with a variety of delicious fillings, s
Good quality empanadas with an attractive range of fillings to choose from. The tomato and mozzarella was our favourite with its gooey centre. The cheese and onion filling was ok but I would have preferred chunks of onion inside to give texture and more taste.
I grew up in Argentina and must say the ham and cheese empanada is spectacular. One of the best I’ve had. Then chicken was scrumptious as well. The onion and cheese seemed to lack flavor—perhaps more sautéed onions could help. While I didn’t care for the chimichuri either, I did appreciate the food
Not the best I've had but delicious empanadas. Highly recommend
The empanadas are to die for, especially the spinach and ricotta empanada, and the mozzarella and tomato ones. They’re so fresh and tasty, I will definitely go back for them! They have an offer that allows you to buy 3 empanadas for 9.5 pounds instead of 10.5, where the price of one empanada is 3.5.
Perfect place to stop by for a quick and tasty dinner, or for a social evening with friends. I recommend trying the tomato and mozzarella and the spinach and ricotta empanadas with a glass of Malbec!
Best empanadas and chimichurri! Ordered the ham and cheese, ate it out front and had to buy two more for the road! Well worth the wait for freshly baked ones, so perfect! Dug in before taking a picture lol
I’m from Uruguay so love empanadas, and this place didn’t disappoint. 2 is probably enough, and 3 will make you very full. Good range of empanadas to choose from, (even if you’re veggie), although there was none with provolone (as advertised online).
