Love this place. Very relaxing and a good selection of beers and wine with small outdoor section, great for those sunny days. Good food lunch time and evenings. Highly recommend
Lovely pub, gorgeous decor. Had a birthday party here last night for about 40 people and was great. All the staff were really helpful and looked after us brilliantly. The bar snacks were delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. Thank you for a great night!
Came here after playing in an 11 a side match yesterday. A delightful pub in a nice area with friendly staff. Plenty of hot posh lads too! :).
Great pub -lovely food and a great range of drinks...My No.1 pub !!
Amazing food and service. Best sunday roast i have ever had. Absolutely stunning pub.
Fantastic Sunday lunch massive portions and the best sticky toffee pudding ever
I have been going to Duke on the Green for many years, great food, friendly staff, good atmosphere!
Excellent dinner. Great atmosphere. Definitely recommend to everyone.
Excellent service, great decor and best thing of all is it's #dogfriendly <3
Great place great staff xxxx great energy
Our favorite pub on our favorite street in London!
Sunday roast with all the trimmings done right ✔️
A cute pub with a light airy interior and some tables out in the sun. The roast was generously portioned, and the service was efficient.
Just opposite the green, this pub is a lovely place to while away a Sunday afternoon. The cosy interior is welcoming with its comfortable seating and fireplace and there's a few tables on the pavement outside, which get packed during a warm summer evening.
The upmarket, gastro pub-style food is good quality but (as usual with a Young's pub) the veggie selection is pretty rubbish (last I was there it was risotto or risotto). You can eat from the same menu in the main bar area or in the dining hall - I much prefer the buzzing atmosphere of the bar area.
It's a little pricey but less pretentious than a couple of the other pubs around and service is friendly.
After a stroll through Parson's Green, we spotted Duke on the Green, a posh pub on the corner of the Green. Inside you'll be spoilt with choice of seats - arm chairs, stools, poofs and all - with different patterns that should clash but instead blend perfectly together. Had we had extra time, we were ready to delve into the pile of board games in the corner.
Although slightly on the pricier side, you really get value for money. I went for a roast chicken, chirizo and brie sandwich which came with a side of fries. The fries were awesome, and I had to stop myself from eating them all before the sandwich. The sandwich was massive. And I mean massive. It was filled to the brim and served on toasted loaf, making it the most satisfying sandwich ever. Served on a long wooden board, this joint couldn't get classier.
Great pub, slick décor, lively and well-dressed.
We suspect that the Duke has changed hands or chefs recently, as the menu which used to change fairly regularly, has reached a standstill, or at least the variations on offer aren’t varied enough to detect a real difference. The options for the “Wine and Dine” deal – £20 for two mains and a bottle of wine – have narrowed, as well. Our usual selection of red was no longer on offer for the deal, but what we had was hardly undrinkable and perfectly satisfactory. I had salmon with potatoes smashed with basil and tomato ; the little dots are pesto and the sunbursts a red pepperish kind of sauce . The salmon was just fine: could have been cooked a bit less. The smashed potatoes were quite nice: they didn’t have the heaviness of mash, and instead tasted quite light and refreshing, which feels like an odd thing to say about potatoes. WB had a rump steak with mash , greens and jus. WB says: This is actually a surprise as many of the meals at the Duke lately haven’t been as good as they were whe
Spent my birthday at The Duke on one of the warmest and sunniest Sundays I've ever seen in October! Staff were very friendly and hospitable throughout the stay. They were unsurprisingly busy - but (7 of us) never felt like had to wait long to order, for the food itself to arrive, a non-invasive status check to make sure everyone was happy... and for regular drinks top-ups. Atmosphere was lovely, lots of dogs there also and had all the feels of a chilled vibe that draws residents and visitors alike. Look forward to going back soon :)
Lovely cosy, busy pub. Especially on a sunday. Friendly and attentive wait staff.
Food was delicious, service was of a high standard and the atmosphere was nice.
Delicious padron peppers to start. The added garlic was a win. Smoked salmon dish was lovely also.
One of the best healthy vegan salads I have had. Vegan feta was delicious, and so was the celeriac.
My friends and I had a great time.
Stopped in for lunch with friends, turns out it was the first day of a new menu. We wanted to try a proper meat pie and we decided to give this place a try.
It turned out to be a fantastic choice! There is just no way we could've imagined a better place than this and a better beef pie.
Highly recommend it to anyone.
Great variety of beers was the second thing that got me. The staff was very polite and helpful, they recommended a local beer and I was not disappointed at all. Great taste!
Have never found a more welcoming pub, and the food is great as well!
Reasonable prices and a spotlessly clean pub!
Thanks for a pleasant experience, will see you soon
Beautiful pub with historical features, was spotlessly clean and staff were really lovely and professional. Fast service and definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. The manager greeted me on arrival, and I was recommended picpoul de pinet French wine which was amazing
Had an amazing evening at Duke On The Green! The staff were incredibly friendly and polite especially one of the managers that served us. The food and drinks came out quickly and were all round brillant! The fish cake was delicious and my espresso martini was perfection, so hats off to both the bar and waitresses. Can’t wait to bring my friends to enjoy the cozy and inviting atmosphere this pub has! (Not to mention the parking across the road which was ideal for us). Thanks again Duke On The Green :)
The Duke exceeded all expectations, delivering a culinary masterpiece in every aspect. The roast pork was a revelation—crispy perfection that melted in the mouth. However, it's the staff that truly elevated the experience. Their warmth and expertise were unparalleled, offering not just service but a genuine connection with patrons. Recommendations were spot-on, showcasing a passion for their craft. This exceptional team made the evening memorable, creating an atmosphere where hospitality meets excellence. The vibes were inviting, and the combination of stellar food and outstanding service makes The Duke on the Green an absolute standout in London's dining and overall pub scene.
What a lovely pub!
The staff were amazing and catered my every need! Great selection of drinks. I would highly recommend the youngs original pint, it is delicious! The food is to die for! I had the burger and it was incredible. The triple cooked chips are a massive winner! It is a lovely dog friendly pub and made me feel very welcome. 10/10!
What a seamless experience! Met a friend for a quick chat up @ the Duke on the green one late afternoon. I've been told on several occasion that your lucky if you get a table outside. Guess that was her lucky day.
On the table there is a piece of stone with a QR code to download the app, unless if your not lazy and don't mind a trip to the bar, you order from the app, add the table number, and everything is being served to your table.
The location is quite good as it's over looking the green while the other pub is on the same direction as the tube station so you have that traffic of people going to the tube.
The venue have the capacity of a decent size crowd, however, the outdoor area has limited space so it's a first come first serve bases.
Less than 10 min after I order the food came and the chips were still warm.
You come, you order whatever you need from the app, food served, no need to queue up and wait to order and pay. But that's just me being lazy that day.
Love their funky art next to the stairs up to the loos.
Myself and my guests were so impressed with the service. I had requested a table near the light and space for a wheelchair. Both were done and I don't know if coincidence, but it was near the door and facilities. Which made it easy for my friends.
Food was excellent, we had the fish and the chicken ceaser salad. Both cooked really well.
A fantastic dog friendly pub right on Parsons Green. Recently came here with a group of 20 of us, and the manager, Darbya was an absolute star every step of the way with the booking. The staff were all absolutely lovely, attentive and professional, and the food was stunning. Will definitely be back!
