I have been coming to Cafe med for so many years and yet every time I come I always leave feeling very happy that I came. I came on Wednesday 25/04/18 and again everything was perfect, and I had a great time celebrating my birthday.
The food was fantastic, the staff were great and are always very friendly and quick to serve. The staff are always very nice with kids and always happy to accommodate picky eaters etc. Thank you to the staff atCafe Med for another for a great evening.

Wonderful steaks again, cooked perfectly and great desserts and wine, great team of staff, highly recommend
A really cosy and friendly local restaurant that serves good quality food and wine at a reasonable mid range price.
The location is excellent if you want to visit Abbey Road, Lords cricket ground, St John's Wood, Maida Vale, West Hampstead, Swiss Cottage and Kilburn and it is just a short taxi ride from Baker Street and Marleybone.
I like how you can sit outside on the deck on a summer's night and eat under the canopies - there are heaters if it gets cold but I haven't seen them needed in the summer months.
Staff are helpful and attentive, and the range of wines is excellent with a full bar service to back up the wine menu.
With regard to the food I particularly liked the duck salad, the fish dishes, and the steaks are to die for. Oh and if you like truly sensational proper chips then you are in for a real treat.
Is it a 5 star silver service venue? No it's not and it doesn't pretend to be. Instead it is a great local diner in a quiet residential but easily accessable location which seems to be frequented by locals time and time again.
Given that this is a very well to do and discerning area, the restaurant would not last 5 minutes if it did not regularly meet a decent standard. I have been a few times and have seen at least one internationally known film star in the premises ( he lives locally ) and on other occasions have seen an equally famous footballer ( ex Arsenal ).
If you are in or near North West London and looking to get away from any of the normal chain offerings then this place is for you
Lovely food! Hearty, excellently cooked! Everything tasted fantastic. The afogato ice cream was exceptionally creamy, so was the banoffee pie. The only criticism on the food is that the parmesan chicken could use a sauce, its slightly too dry.
Cocktails were quite good as well. We had tried the negroni and the prosecco with elderflower. Both of them very good.
The maitre could be friendlier. She’s quite cold and unapproachable.
The food was tasty but they actually gave our starters to another table before us. We realised as someone in our group had seen them a d they had actually started eating them (and left the stems of the peppers on the plate that they had bitten into). I still gave it 4 stars even though that was pretty disgusting as we have been before lots of times and never had issues.
An old local favourite, consistently good food and service. Cosy, friendly place that feels like home.
This was one of my most favourite places to come to for over 20 years - and I do not say this lightly. They used to serve warmed bread as a starter with virgin olive oil complimentary and it tasted like no other in year 2000 to 2016. The restaurant served me so many happy years, and I will be grateful for that always. Antoinetta was very patient with us today ... Excellent service 👌👋🙌
Fine Italian dinning … veal Milanese is great
Good food, a small, relatively simple menu, and while most tastes are catered to there isn't a vegan main course. The food is high quality, well prepared and presented, generous portions, and no skimping. We enjoyed our white wine at a reasonable price. The outside seating is spacious and comfortable, south-facing, perfect for long summer evenings. A great venue for a relaxed meal.
This is one of my favorite repeat places to go the food is incredible and the service is outstanding. I love the cozy feel of the place. (Especially during the wintertime and there's a table by the fireplace👍🏻) The portions are generous and the food comes out quick. There really is only one problem (if you want to call it that) there are so many outstanding dishes that's it's very hard to select just a few. I've left with some takeaway boxes on many occasions because I got everything🤣.
This is a great place to go and then come back again and again.
An excellent laid back restaurant with an eclectic take on Mediterranean dishes.A nice terrace for all weather dining.Very good pasta and really good desserts. My linguine with prawns was perfectly cooked. The Espresso Tiramisu was very light and fluffy.Wine by the glass is not a rip off and the coffee was perfect.
Rosie and the Team always take great care of me and my guests. Which is why we frequent Cafe Med. Being from Texas, I am particular about margaritas and can say with all honesty, Cafe Med makes one of the very best!
Always a relaxing time at Cafe Med with reliable food and desserts (Banofi Pie is a must!).
Cozy place: during winter, the fireplace and the velvet chairs makes the restaurant special. During summer, the terrace is just amazing, south facing and therefore full of sun.
The dishes are good, but not delicious. However, it is the only decent restaurant of the area and it is very well adapted to the children: they even give out papers and crayons for our younger ones.
I love this place for it's calmness and friendly atmosphere. You would be very happy to take your kids there, office meeting, client meeting or even your date to discuss future planning.
Really good lunch here at this family-friendly local restaurant in St John's Wood
I took my cousin for lunch here on a recommendation and we were both really impressed with the stylish décor, nice menu with wide variety of dishes to suit all tastes, delicious food and super friendly and attentive service
The prawn linguini, chilli garlic prawns and their Banoffee Pie were all absolutely superb so for £75 including service you can't ask for fairer than that
Parking is super easy as you can park for free on one of the surrounding roads like Boundary Road or Clifton Hill and the atmosphere is very relaxed.
10/10 highly recommended - I'll definitely be coming back here again very soon
This is a lovely restaurant, in the heart of St John's Wood, London. The restaurant is on the ground floor within a beautiful, classic, stucco building, with an extremely comfortable interior. It's spacious, so diners are not on top of each other, with plenty of room to move about. On warm days, or evenings, you can choose to dine outside on the comfort of the enclosed, raised patio. The tables have large umbrellas, and outdoor heaters, if required. In winter, or on colder evenings, there is a lovely fire in the main eating area, giving a cosy feel. The lighting is sensitive and thoughtful and the staff change the lighting as the day goes on. The service is professional, polite and friendly. An excellent menu and wine list are available with a wide and varied choice. It's not surprising this restaurant entertains a full house in the evenings, so you would need to book in advance. Alternatively, there are usually tables available for lunch, or a 'late' lunch. Highly recommended. Five delicious gold stars.
