Unbelievable breaky, staff so lovely, accepted slight change to the dish with ease and great rapport with guests. Fresh carrot juice with ginger, yum.. Can't wait to go back.
Always the best brunch served by wonderful staff.... love it here!!
Thank you 202
This place is always fabulous delic food
Great waitress and amazing vibe
Beautiful breakfast and always happy staff
Stopped for a coffee ... loved it great ambience
Great local lunch even in the rain sat outside
I only ever come here for breakfast, so I'm not sure how the other meals are. But every time I leave I find myself craving the food the next day!! Nothing beats the french toast on sourdough bread with crispy bacon on top! Sadly every time I would like to come in, the restaurant is completely full, and the line is super long. Never have he patience for it so always end up going somewhere else.
Judging by the line at the door, I was pretty confident Im in for a good brunch.
The line moved quickly and we ordered fresh orange juice and coffee to start with. Both were good.
For the mains we ordered the scrambled eggs with bacon and the 202 healthy breakfast. Excellent!
For desert, we ordered the pear crumble with vanilla ice cream. Delicious!
While the gastronomic experience was great, it definitely comes at a price. Total for the above order was £54, which for a brunch is too high in my opinion. That being said I would definitely recommend this place.
The food is incredible, the price too steep. A rating of 4 is unfair given the quality, so Im going with a 4.5.
Stay hungry my friends!
Went here for brunch and had some amazing eggs Benedict with prosciutto ham. Normally there is a line but we waited for 10/15 min maximum. Really nice to sit outside, they have heaters. The service was ok.
Mr S has turned into a blog widow again of late, over the past few weekends I’ve been busy touring the streets of Piccadilly, munching on sushi at Murakami and of course attending the first meeting of Blog Addicts Anonymous at Bourne and Hollingsworth Buildings. Now, it was time for a little ‘us’ time and exploring the pretty shops and mews houses of Westbourne Grove. Don’t you feel like as life rushes by you sometimes forget to take a quiet moment and have a coffee together and catch up on your latest news and future plans? When we arrived at 202 London, I considered turning around and heading for a another nearby cafe – the place was packed and there was a queue to sit down but actually we didn’t have long to wait.Soon we were sat at a table for two and I ordered up a toasted bagel that arrived with a generous portion of smoked salmon and a huge dollop of cream cheese. Mr S went for a sizzling platter of fajitas and a portion of thin cut fries, looking around the restaurant, his was an incredibly popular choice for brunch-time at 202 Restaurant. We loved the relaxed ambiance of the restaurant with bistro-style shabby chic furniture and huge mirrors lining the walls. 202 isn’t just a restaurant it’s also a boutique with pretty accessories, artwork and books for sale on the ground floor. And shoes and clothes and things downstairs…It was a sunny October day and actually warm enough to sit out on the pavement, the perfect place for people watching in pretty Notting Hill. But with the seats outside taken we were content to sit inside munching our brunch, sipping our coffee and planning our next adventures. Brunch concluded with a plum crumble (that smelt suspiciously of rum) topped with a creamy ball of vanilla ice cream and the provision of two spoons…a perfect Sunday spent together.
Very nice place to eat a healthy and tasty dish.
We did wait about an hour to have a table but in the meantime we enjoyed nice cocktails at the bar.
I highly recommend the pavlova for dessert it is exquisite
Reservations are only accepted for dinner, but when we checked in the morning, the waiter reassured us that the wait for lunch would only be 5 or 10 minutes. Returning at 1pm exactly, the wait was exactly that, 10 minutes. We were first in the queue,
As soon as you step onto the pavements of Westbourne Grove, you might as well turn round if you think dining is going to be anything other than terribly pricey.
Too pricey? Well, a first glance at the menu in the terribly elegant and chic 202 London is a bit of a shocker, not least the wild smoked salmon bagel at a whopping £17.95.
202 London is clearly a destination place for brunch. We were the first to arrive at ten o'clock and fifteen minutes later the joint was buzzing with well heeled folk.
Anyway, I had to go for my favourite, eggs Benedict and my pal who had flown in from Mexico was dying for a Full English.
The first thing I noticed was the level of staffing. Clad in their white, long aprons, it was refreshing to note that the service was instant and the food and drinks came out five minutes after ordering.
Two very handsome plates arrived, both adorned with what looked like the finest and best of ingredients. My eggs, smothered in a shiny, yellow coat of lovliness were placed on a handsome portion of Parma ham and digging into the eggs was like opening a present. A little river of yolk oozed out onto the plate and what a mouthful it was. Totally delicious.
As for my pal, I loved the whole 'baby cherry toms still on the vine' thing which is becoming very popular. I loved the whole damned breakfast actually. It isn't rocket science to use quality ingredients and both plates were bursting with them.
A pot of builders and a cappuccino washed down this rather stunning breakfast and with service came to just over thirty six quid. It's one of the best breakfasts I've ever had and that goes a long way to soften the blow of a big bill. Good job 202.
What gives this place its charm is the fact that it is not just a restaurant. It is a concept store where food, fashion and interiors come together. Open and alluring, this place is spread over two floors. What worked best for me was the combination of their flavourful French toast and their strong coffee. It may be a bit too elite and polished for some, this place. This store cum restaurant is a mix of Bohemian and maturity meeting midway, throwing out a culmination of a strange yet engaging success.
In my opinion this place is for the richer class.A part of a high end shop, i am a little critical of the location as i feel it is kind of tricking one to spend more, but if i were richer, even i would've enjoyed the place.
Interiors then aren't much of a surprise with the owners trade mark in everywhere, which is absolutely tasteful and jaw dropping
The menu of the eatery offers a wide variety of courses from breakfast to dinner. And the fact that you can shop between courses makes the whole experience delightful.
I travelled a long way to reach this cafe, and was doubtful that it would justify the effort. But I am very glad it did. I ordered the french toast with bacon, and a plate of sausages. My friend ordered granolas and a blueberry muffin. All the food was delicious, and the proportions were very generous. The sausages, in particular, were cooked to perfection. I supplemented my meal with fresh orange juice and coffee, and did not eat anything else the whole day. It is a brilliant cafe.
This place is really too good to miss and serves the best scrambled eggs in London at great value for money. The brunch menu is great with items like the lamb burger, chicken milanese and macaroni and cheese, and the portions are huge and delicious. It's better suited to caffeine than alcohol, but there's a good choice of around 15 wines as well as some quirky bottled beer. Service is very good and the staff is friendly and efficient. They can be a little eager for you to leave the table when they're busy though.
This place serves a lot of different kind of cuisines including Moroccan, Mexican, standard breakfast so it becomes difficult to point out what they are really good at and what not if you are coming for the first time. I had tagine (made of eggs). Portion of this dish was quite huge for me. My friend also enjoyed his fish tacos. I would give them one extra brownie point only because they allow dogs inside so Jelli bean my dog could join us for brunch.
Wow what a decor , when i entered I felt like I'm in proper high street fashion shop . This place is amazingly organized.
The ambiance was pretty decent and I loved everything which was there.
The menu was good and we got lot of variety to choose from .
The food was also very tasty , I had crab cake with mango salsa and it was delicious.
The quality of the food is very good does not make you feel that you are spending too much.
The only issue that they have to work on is the service is bit slow if this thing is taken care of then this place will become the best one around.
I love visiting this place after a long workout at the gym, which is located right across the street. The food is pretty delicious, and I don't mind waiting in line on most weekends to get a table. I love their salads, they are all large and filling as a main, especially the chicken Caesar and the specials. The eggs are always a hit, and I LOVE the cauliflower gratin -- so cheesy! The fish tacos seem to be popular and I think they're just okay, but again I am pretty serious about my fish tacos. Oh, and in the summer, it is also the perfect restaurant to sit outside in the front, but you have to be lucky to get a table, once someone sits down they're unlikely to move for the rest of the afternoon as it is a perfectly sunny spot!
To my surprise, the restaurant is attached to a clothing boutique and looks more like a cafe. We enjoyed an early supper here and were pleasantly surprised by the food. The service however, is inconsistent. In the beginning we had 2 waiters taking our orders, but after the orders were placed, both of them disappeared, and it was difficult to flag someone else down. The prices are reasonable and the overall value is very good. Although we had supper there, it is more of a brunch joint. I would definitely be back to try that brunch!
Located in Notting Hill, might not the best restaurant around but pretty much a good one. The place is very comfortable and cozy and I'm sure you won't feel a discomfort. I had ordered a crab cake and crab meat, surprisingly, it was way too delicious as I had imagined. The washrooms are flawless and very hygienic and hence earned some browny points for that. Very authentic taste and very generous in terms of the portion. Loved this place and I am definitely looking forward in returning back here very soon. Strongly recommended.
This restaurant is a stylish place close to Notting Hill. It is partly a store and partly a restaurant. The atmosphere is great and so is the service. The food is superb. I had the full English breakfast. Although it was missing some of the ingredients, the ones presented, were amazingly fresh and tasteful. I loved the dish my partner ordered- French toast, topped with bacon and maple syrup. The toast was one of the best I have ever had in my life. I would definitely recommend it!
This place is perfect for weekend brunches. A combination of a cafe and a clothes shop, this place expresses it's ambience in a great way. If you're wanting to try out a new unique place this weekend, please give this place a shot as it will not fail to meet your expectations.
After moving to London, I had come to terms with the fact that a good breakfast or lunch is difficult to find here, unless you like runny eggs and fatty bacon. I was proved wrong when I visited this restaurant as it satisfied my hunger for a great meal. The muffins are heavenly and they also do yummy egg whites. The staff is great too!
It had been a really long time since I visited this restaurant. I, along with a couple of my friends decided to stop at this place for brunch. The atmosphere was a relaxed one. The staff was also good and the service quite normal. The food was of good quality.
This is a good place to take a date and have lunch. Food is very tasty and the staff was very welcoming and pleasant . They always had this smile on their faces whenever I looked at them. The waiters were very friendly and helpful.
They don't take reservations for the weekends so the best time to go is then only.
I vote for this place.
202 is a great mix of lifetstyle, quality food and fashion..some say trendy but on the edge of posh. Went there for a brunch, food was nice and beautifully presented and the service was fast. Worth noticing we had to wait 30mn to be seated, just to give you an idea of how popular the place is (this was on a Sunday). Worth trying if you are in Westbourne grove area and are in no rush, you may fancy their fashion showroom downstair while you there. Bon appetit!
I am going to begin this was a rant. About January. About (mainly) girls in January. About (mainly) girls in January who like to talk to you about calories, and fat content, and exercise, when all you want to do is have another cocktail and enjoy your cheese burger with extra cheese and cheesy chips in peace (just FYI, I have only ever ordered this once. Ok, maybe twice.) I hate calories. I don’t understand them and I never will. I hate going into supermarkets and seeing the shelves packed with ‘healthy’ ready meals. I don’t want to count on you I want to cook for myself. But most of all I hate going out for meals with people who assume you care about the calories in your food, and that this will in anyway affect what you order. Because it won’t. I would rather order what I fancy, and fully enjoy it, than order the healthy and boring option and not get any pleasure from it. Rant over.
So anyway, I now have a new group of friends to brunch with. There are six of us who all know each other through various different connections, and one of us suggested we start brunching together on a regular basis. She suggested our first port of call was 202 on Westbourne Grove. Half shop, half cafe, it is apparently the place to see and be seen in Notting Hill. I’m not sure we really did either, although I did see a girl I recognised from school but would rather not have.
Once we had all settled I ordered my flat white. It was good, strong and creamy and made with a lovely dark roasted blend. When it came to mains I ordered kedgeree, in my opinion a highly underrated brunch dish. Most people (like my friends) go for the sexy pancakes or french toast, but I love this fishy dish – it wakes up your taste buds on a morning. I did have a slight wobble when I saw my friends’ plates piled high with sweet things, but I needn’t have. The kedgeree was excellent. It was creamier than I have had before, but came topped with a perfectly cooked poached egg and lots of smokey fish.
And best of all, not one of the girls mentioned calories. They can stay.
So Trendy ! 202 brings fashion, retail and modern eating together. Sitting in the Notting Hill's most stylish shopping street, it serves a blend of world food and modern bistro essentials.

Cool and fashionable brunch and lunch place with a clothing store in the basement.
Food is great and portions are generous. They make fresh smoothies and some of the desserts change weekly.
The English breakfast is delicious.
Very quick service. Reasonable prices. Very close to Portobello road and many other restaurants and shops.
Very friendly and good service. Waitress always smiling and doing a great job. Tasty food. Love the lamb burger and courgette frittes.
Excellent food, great location, friendly staff, love both the terrace and the inside seating area. I'm keto so it was easy to adjust some dishes to hold the bread, for instance. Highly recommended brunch / lunch place in the heart of Notting hill. Buttermilk pancakes are delicious. Later edit: had the healthy avocado breakfast which was also delicious. I also love their scrambled eggs.
202 is really Brunch Central, and has managed, along with its other sceney peers on Westborne Grove, to occupy a legitimate place in people’s lives on Sunday, dethroning any remnant of religious service.
After a healthy 20min average wait time (cool places in Notting Hill are always walk-ins) you’re cheerfully escorted to your table in a large buzzing room, with high ceilings and diners squished together. It feels right to be brunching there. On the tables all around, the lively conversations jump from the weekend debrief, to the gossip girl scheming, to the business planning, or the long due “life catch-up”. The place is alive and exudes energy.
The brunch is ok. To be fair, I had the “healthy cooked breakfast”, which felt… well healthy. The avocado was cut rather than mashed, and that just doesn’t sit well with me in general. Nothing bad really, but nothing extraordinary either in this very basic avocado and egg toast.
What is extraordinary on the other hand, is the crispy and salty “Frites” dish (aka their skinny fries). So elegant, so crunchy, so warm and tasty, that it makes you want to just have three or four servings as a meal.
Nice experience in 202, we had an afternoon break with friends to have a coffee and some cakes. The food quality is good and the coffee is tasty. Good service and location!
Good good. Generous portions. Pricey but as per the area.
Great service midweek. Weekends is usually so packed the experience is not as enjoyable (if you even get a table that is!)
Amazing evening dinner, even though it’s only four days a week. Hardly anyone here very quiet and sireen. Beautiful tasty food if you like coming for brunch you’ll enjoy a quiet (almost exclusive) diner... :) Brilliant find :)
The queue was fairly big but it moved quickly so worth persevering. The food was tasty but the service was v slow. When we politely caught the attention of the wait staff, either to order, to ask for the bill, or to ask to pay the bill, it was met with a slight look of exasperation. However, overall there is a nice atmosphere and I would return.
The food was good but pankakes are not good at all. The terrace is nice but not much space for the dishes as we were three people it was a bit uncomfortable. The juice is fresh and coffe is good.
3 of us came here on a weekday afternoon. It wasn’t busy at all and felt nice and spacious. We had 3 prams with us and the waitress was very accommodating.
There were booked displayed on a shelf which we could take a look at and a clothing shop downstairs.
I had the Banoffee Pie (£7.50) and a Latte (£3.25). Both were delicious.
This is a nice chilled place to come in the week either alone or with others.
Great ambience, friendly staff, great tasting food... Enjoyed my experience 😊. The egg Benedict was utterly delicious!
Ate breakfast outside on one of the rare sunny days in London. It was a great place for people watching and the food was ok. I chose the healthy breakfast, and while a bit bland, it wasn't something a little salt and hot sauce couldn't fix.
Very nice bistro restaurant. Staff was super friendly and the food was so nice!
Very bright and cozy at the same time. Delightful fusion of modern decor with natural wood tables. I liked it much.
A fantastic place. Food is delicious and very healthy. Service is outstanding. Green smoothie is so yummy.
Good brunch spot. Love that it’s set in a shop, so even if there is a wait then you can have a look at around. Love the scrambled eggs here, deep yellow and the salmon salad is top. Crowd is hit and miss as with anything in Notting Hill the more people discover it. Come here if the queue at granger is crazy and you won’t be disappointed. Delicious smoothies and coconut latte. Been coming for years and can never complain!!
