Friendly staff and a delicious brunch menu. I like that when I ask for no butter on my toast or my eggs, not dripping in oil and butter they don't give me a hard time are friendly about my request. I normally get the scrambled eggs on toast with a side of smashed avocado. Most delicious iced mochas!

Awesome cafe, great coffee finally reaches Tooting....food is great and ambience is perfect for a lazy Sunday brunch or a weekday coffee with friends. Owners are friendly and enthusiastic....clearly they really care about the quality of their offering without being the least bit pretentious! It's like a hipster shoreditch or Melbourne cafe without the attitude or irony....perfect....I'll be a regular!

The barista at the Croydon cafe makes an almond latte that is exceptional. It's by far the best almond latte I've had in Sydney or London!

I admire any cook that can make an avocado really tasty in it's own right, but MUD's 'smashed' avocado does that and more. I had it as a side order with the 'eggs benny' with poached salmon. The fish was fresh, light and plentiful, the hollandaise sauce was perfect (not too lemony or overpowering) and the soft boiled egg was delightful (could have had a little more runny yolk, but that is personal taste). I love eating out, love brunch and I left MUD feeling full of some lovely, original culinary treats.

This self-titled antipodean café serves up delicious brunch time dishes alongside perfectly brewed coffees all day. A wonderful addition to the Tooting high street. A friendly relaxed café that we’d go back to again and again!. The interior is very rustic look gave off a nice welcoming vibe, the kind where you could imagine yourself staying for hours (If only we had that kinda time!). We are suckers for exposed brick and wooden furniture, so MUD cafe just felt right!

I wasnt too keen on going here as the online menu didnt have much choice for vegetarians but when I got there the menu was better. They also do fresh fruit juices which are really good.

The breakfast was delicious, honestly the best I have had in Tooting. It is simple with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and you can taste the freshness. I am not usually a fan of hollandaise sauce but theirs is fluffy and light, made with fresh cream.

Prices are reasonable too! My only complaint is that its a very small cafe therefore there is usually a queue so be prepared to wait. Also they forgot my breakfast so my companions had finished by the time mine came and they did not compensate for that however it was worth the wait!

Yes it did taste as good as it looks! Granola for breakfast this morning. Yummy fresh fruit and the mixed berry compote combined with the yogurt was heavenly! Gingerella lived up to its name. Will try and sneak in another breakfast before I go!

Great for cage and brunch. I use to come here on Sundays mornings taking advantage of the nice garden and I am never disappointed. There a nice selection of imaginative dishes and excellent cakes to have with their very good coffee.

Since moving to Tooting a few weeks ago, we’d noticed a queue outside a coffee shop at the weekend whenever we walked past. This place was clearly popular! Last Saturday we headed over to ‘Mud’ in the morning to see what all the fuss was about. Luckily we had just beaten the ‘brunch rush’ and managed to get a table for breakfast. We were served quickly, ordering a couple of iced mochas and fresh orange juices, and the waitress was very friendly. Actually, the place had a very friendly vibe in general. The fact that it was one of the hottest, nicest days of the year might have helped, but everyone was smiling and you could tell that lots of regulars were coming in, as they chatted away to the staff behind the counter. I heard one of the groups ask if they could sit ‘in the garden at the back’ – I’m not sure if this is a closely guarded secret, but I’m keen to check it out next time. I also loved the decor – very rustic, Aussie and cool!

You know it's going to be a good coffee place when there is only one size for a flat white and a marzocco machine buzzing in the corner.

Very polite and personable service too.

Although I got serious drink envy when Ash Nauradi got his iced mocha. Honestly I got quite resentful of my 2nd flat white... Was still a tasty one though.

A very popular spot for brunch in Tooting, offering many sweet and savoury options. The fact that it's been there for about seven years shows that it's a successful crowd pleaser. The corn fritter stack goes down as my favourite, but Turkish eggs is a close second. The Gianduja pancakes are a bit sweet.

One of my favourite brunch spots in SW London and such a gem! Such an incredible menu with a twist on all the classics which really deliver on flavour. Generous portion sizes too!

I’ve been to this location twice so far. The first time it was hard to get service/attention from the waiter. I truly felt ignored the first time which was upsetting. I even watched someone else come in after me & get service faster than I did.. I waited about 30 minutes but no one came to my table so I asked if they were taking orders.. which obviously I knew they were. So it took a while to fulfill my hunger that day. Due to my first experience there I can’t give them five stars. However I decided to give Mud a second chance so the second time was much better. She (my waitress) was very attentive, kind, warm, smiled so I did tip her out of appreciation. Five star experience✨ Try the NYC stack it’s filling, delicious and fresh. I always get a cappuccino & water as well. I plan to try more dishes the next time I’m there. Great music selection. Definitely check it out!

Really enjoyed my food, I had the brioche burger with the sausage pattie and bacon with potato waffles, it was a good portion. I was impressed by the customer service, they were clearly understaffed and the place was very busy at the time but the waiter Erine (I think that's how you spell it) was very professional and polite despite being rushed off his feet and apologised for the slow service. Thankfully we weren't in a hurry. The food was worth the wait and very filling. They could do with hiring more staff so the ones there aren't so under pressure, especially during busy periods. Unfortunately the flat white wasn't too good which is a shame because i had one from here a few years ago and it was the best! But my friends had the chai latte and said it was amazing.

Alternative brunch menu with something for all! Don't come expecting a large cosy environment because the place has more a small warehousy vibe - the outside space was closed since it was winter. The menu is inventive and features plenty of brunch-regulars (pancakes, muffins, avocado, chorizo, fritters and so on) and the coffee is great. Well worth a visit and there is nothing here to dislike.

Beats all the other brunch places around this part of London! Very good, friendly service and fresh ingredients. Interior is very woody, rustic, natural with lots of light. We ordered an avocado on toast and the pancakes with coffee and a green smoothie. They had a good selection of drinks. Avocado on toast was very fresh with salad on top. Pancakes had great consistency and good toppings. Smoothie was good too. Came in a cute hipster glass. Very good value for money. An absolute hidden gem. I recommend stopping here for brunch!

Great food and great service. This is not a bacon butty venue and the breakfast is big. Lots of exotic choices. Nice area at the back. We paid £50 for 3 for brunch and cup of coffee each, so it's not cheap but soooooo tasty.

♿️⚠️Slight step at the entrance but seating can be difficult as it is quite tight inside and they have wooden benches, not chairs to move. Came here on a Sunday afternoon, service at the door was amazingly fast, just one minute to get a seat and shortly after we ordered then not 10 mins later we had our food! I had the mud muffin, and an iced latte. All was presented well and tasted great, the hash brown waffles were a great touch too! Maybe some cooked cherry tomatoes would go well with them as well.
