A quirky hidden away bar in Googe street but a delight to find. Great ambiance and great staff. Cocktails are amazing and I was introduced to Curious Brew, a lager brewed in Kent by Chapel Down, an English wine producer no less!

I LOVED this bar, hard to find but worth it. Great atmosphere, lovely cocktails which were reasonably priced and a good mix of music. The table service is brilliant as you don't have to keep interrupting your evening with trips to the bar. Will definitely be back

What a surprise! Found this place by accident. So glad we did. Hidden in a little basement of fabulousness. Such lovely cocktails, the best I have had in ages ( Va Va Vroom is superb). And the staff are great too with a nice atmosphere. We will definitely be going back!

Cool and quirky, great atmosphere, proper grown up cocktails and lovely team. "Can I start a tab?" "No, we trust our customers" - what's not to love?

Great little place in Fitzrovia tucked away from all the craziness of central london. It's the sister bar of Bourne and Hollingsworth, which is just around the corner and how my mate and I found it (suggested to us by the staff there).

It's a got a really warm and kind of quiet feel to it, despite it getting pretty busy when we were there. Good music playing, soft rock type stuff mostly, but nothing too generic. We had a few cocktails which were delicious and I moved on to beer.

Great friendly atmostphere. Staff were awesome. Had a great time and will be make it a regular whenever I head to that part of town.

After having a few drinks in a pub, we starting looking for a quieter place to talk. This place is neatly hidden in Fitzrovia. Apparently this is modelled on the prohibition bars which thrived in america when alcohol production and distribution was banned. The place was dimly lit with candles on the tables and 80s rock music was playing. The menu has good variety of cocktails some of which I have never heard before. We chatted until they kicked us out around 12 by turning on the lights :)

Tucked behind an assuming black door, through a flowery corridor and down some rickety stairs, you'll find Rev JW Simpson. A English interpretation of a prohibition bar, this former brothel is Noho's smartest little secret.

The bar is one of the smallest I've ever seen but that doesn't stop them from conjuring up some seriously good drinks without a Woo Woo or Blue Lagoon in sight. Served in cut glasses collected from high and low, you'll find some ingredients you previously only associated with Henry VIII.

I started with a shake up of the classic Old Fashioned that came with lashings of bitters and chocolate spirit (always one for chocolate, you know me) that seems to have disappeared from the menu but is definitely worth looking out for. We then checked out for food and headed over to Icco - London's answer to New York style pizza and a serious steal - before returning and settling in with a Mead Feast (mead mixed with basil, honey and quince liqueur with lemon juice and bitters) that was surprisingly tasty. Henry VIII had a little something something going on.

I then continued the whole 'ordering from the unusual' theme and went for the Port Berry Stinger. No longer the realms of the post-cheese course at your parents' dinner parties, this concoction mixed the fortified wine with fresh mint leaves, sugar and blackberries. Yes, it's a little sweet and syrupy but it definitely sheds some light on that last bottle left in the cupboard.

The staff are friendly and happy to chat but a little slow (they like to talk amongst themselves, it seems) but you're never rushed from your table and the music they play? Good enough to make you want to stay all night.

Noho may not be your average night out but if you're in the area, it's worth the visit. Take a trip back to a bawdier London and soak up the subterranean atmosphere, just don't get lost in the secret corridor on your way out, you may never be seen again...

This is gem - hidden away just off of Goodge Street - is the ideal place to take a date for a cocktail. The swanky décor and the extensive menu, when taken together, make this establishment easily my favourite cocktail bar in London - or, in fact the world, for that matter. And though I suppose I ought to try a few of the others before I make such sweeping statements, I'm sure you get the point: his place is ace!
Screw Flanders.

A gem in the city. Excellent cocktail bar with cosy and characteristic atmosphere. By looking at the menu, you can already recognise the care, the knowledge, and the passion of their offer. Drinks were all interesting and superbly made, and requests are welcomed by the bartender who has an interesting collection of liquors. Definitely recommended 👌.

Cozy little bar with a cool cocktail menu. Feels like your aunts lived in living room that you actually want to visit. I had the inconceivable and it was yummy. Lively. It not too rowdy crowd. Understaffed unfortunately so we only stayed for one round but server was lovely!

Great tucked-away spot with delicious cocktails and knowledgeable staff. Went for pre-dinner drinks with friends, but I think it would be equally great for nightcaps. Good music too!

Speakeasy like place. Cocktails are fun. With one person making and one taking orders didn’t scream efficiency.

One of the best intimate but immersive bars in London. Drinks are made with pure passion and no request is too much trouble for the wonderful bartenders that work here. A must visit for the area.

Please please please please if you're looking for cocktails in the area go here to indulge. On the northern line heading towards Leicester square and covent garden, very accessible and well placed for pre theatre or pre dinner drinks. Owner and head bartender Rhydian is turning out some of the most thoughtful and downright delicious drinks in London right now. An ever changing menu of accessibly (date I say it, for London cocktails, aggressively) priced concoctions that feature selections of unusual and often home and hand made ingredients that absolutely shine. Cocktails will generally be around thirteen pounds a go. This won't compete with a happy hour absolut espresso martini, and if that's your gig fair dinkums. But if you're looking for a brilliant drink, well located and in comfortable environs, I stress again, please please please give the reverend a thought. You will be handsomely rewarded.

I have been bartending for 18 years. Every time I think I've reached my zenith in the craft of mixing booze I come here to see Rhidian putting out drinks that make my best efforts effortlessly look amateur. I wouldn't mind if it were once but over the last few years this damn genius has given me a high water mark to strive for again and again. One day I will be his equal. Until then I insist you come try his inconceivable potions for yourself.

Unbelievable cocktails, super friendly staff, and not stuck up at all like some cocktail places - the Brick Lane Biryani is something else. Lovely basement venue

A quiet and intimate local favourite which deserves wider renown. Run mostly by a solo bartender, this is exactly what a cocktail bar should be: full of passion for the drink above all else. The service is personal and knowledgeable, and the bohemian interior is perfectly suited to the stripped-back and friendly atmosphere. The cocktail list is scintillatingly imaginative, with unusual spirits and rare mixers combined to create some truly amazing themes. Perfect for a date, friendly get-togethers, and everything else in between!
