I love the Good life Eatery beautiful food and beautiful service .But where has your famous red velvet cake gone? , we came in today especially for it , but the replacement red velvet just isn’t the same . The icing isn’t as creamy and it’s quite dry , just thought you should know , but will still keep coming to my favourite Eatery x

I had breakfast from here last Saturday and it was so good I'm still thinking about it, like, the best breakfast ever! The best avocado toast in the history of avocado export and one of those smothies was divine too!

I like their food because they got the African foods in the suburban area of Sandton. They are very friendly and their food is cheap and crispy.

One of my favourite places to eat The chestnut waffles are a healthy, but indulgent treat. I personally love the so fresh and so clean bowl - it's just yummy! All the eggs used are golden yolked, rich and delicious! The cakes are lush and the Amazeballs are perfect for a mid afternoon energy boosting snack! I would also highly reccomend the Good Life cook book, it's a great read, with lots of fab recipes featured! Only tiny negative is the bottled drinks in the chiller are a touch pricey for me, particularly by comparison to their fresh smoothies! x

Comida saudável e deliciosa? I'm in! Este foi provavelmente o melhor prato saudável que comi na vida. Adorei tudo o que vinha na goodness bowl, da salada de quinoa, aos zoodles e ao falafel. Absolutamente divinal. Quero um sítio destes em Portugal.

Highlights: Friendly staff, healthy menu choices from breakfast-dessert
Downside: Small venue, no WiFi.

I chose the brown rice warm bowl with baked falafels, kale and rataouille with a basil pesto. Tasty. Medium portion size but the carbohydrates are filling. I think I would like to return to try out their breakfast options next time.

As a Melbournian brunch lover, I thought I had to try this eatery which promotes healthy, nutritious and clean food. This is a lovely small venue- eat in or take away- from a small menu of delicious and fresh brekky/brunch dishes. From granola to eggs.

We sampled the egg white frittata with a basil pesto: fresh, tasty, healthy, light and sufficient. Also sampled the eggs Benedict: light, rich and tasty, the hollandaise was almost foamy! The eggs were sitting on a whole grain slice of bread which was dense and oozed with nutrition!

The coffee here was excellent- robust full bodied with a back-ground citrus note.

There is also a big focus on raw foods and super smoothies which are a perfect pick me up energy booster for tough mornings!

Ive been going on a healthy salad hunt in London and I was craving a nice healthy juicy one, and the good life salad was really good. Packed with amazing nutrients, it had kale, lentils, gogi berries, quinoa, walnuts with a tahini dressing. (I added avocado and chicken) which enriched it more. Heard everything they had was great

The Good Life Eatery was the best place to re-nourish our bodies after a few too many large glasses of wine and to clear our conscience too. The night ended with a little trip to a chicken shop… begins with K and ends with C. Oops!. Healthy eating joints are popping up all over London as the health and wellness industry continues to boom. The girls behind The Good Life Eatery are taking full advantage of this #cleaneating craze and who can blame them. Yasmine and Shirin only founded The Good Life Eatery 3 years ago, the same number of restaurants they now own. This speaks passion and entrepreneurial drive. We have no doubt that more of their healthy havens will be popping up all over London.

Love finding little gems like this. Was walking in Chelsea and spotted this amazing place. Tons of amazing looking healthy food on the menu, really good sugar free almond milk and awesome buzzing vibe. Just be sure to read ingredients and ask about meals before you order as some items have refined sugar etc. Will definitely be back for food!

Amazing fresh, raw and really healthy food. I recommend it if you have food intolerance or just trying to be healthy. the goodness bowl (thats a mix of all their salads) is amazing and to finish have a piece of the most marvelous red velvet piece cake free of gluten.
It is a small space but you can get a table really quick.

Tip: take away it!

My favourite cafe in London! A health freaks paradise. As an indecisive soul I was stuck for what to order. They do a mixed bowl with loads of tasters from other dishes (falafel, guacamole, courgetti etc) so this was perfect for me and everything was so good and tasty! I got a juice as well which was amazing. What's great is for people who aren't quite so adventurous they also do really good sandwiches so you can drag anyone along! My mum got the BLT and loved it. Only flaw is its a little pricy but considering its location, that's expected.

First off, it should be called the F%$king Great Life Eatery because that’s how good the eggs benedict is. I went to meet my friend right before my wedding for a catch up breakfast and my only requirement was healthy. In my world, healthy is any food that doesn’t contain cookies or cake, so our options were pretty open. I’d been dying to go to The Good Life Eatery for a while but heard there were lines and I couldn’t be bothered to fight a yummy mummy after her yoga class with an insatiable need to get her chia seed on.

I love brunch.  Hands down it’s my favourite meal.  You can have eggs benedict, pancakes, a full English, or a burger. It covers every possible food group.  And again, pancakes. Pancakes. Pancakes. Pancakes.  Oh how I love them.  Except finding gluten free pancakes is akin with finding that pot of gold that apparently exists at the end of every rainbow.

So I turned my attention to The Good Life Eatery instead, and okay fine, they didn’t have pancakes. But they did have waffles, and that is almost just as exciting!

Not only do they have waffles, they have GUILT FREE waffles. The kind that don’t cling to your thighs the moment you swallow them.

We arrived and didn’t have to wait too long for a table, and I spent a good amount of time being distracted by the window display of cakes and bread made from the most innocent of ingredients – quinoa, spelt, angels tears and probably even blessed by the Pope. Y’know, that sort of ingredients.

A table became free and we bolted in its direction in the only way two hungry females could. Elbows out, handbag prepped and ready to barge others out of the way, with steely, determined looks on our faces. Once the table was claimed by putting our iPhone’s on top in a ‘Sorry you can’t sit here, these seats are ours’ kinda way, we made our way back to the counter to place our order.

‘Paleo waffles and an almond milk latte please!’

‘Sweetened or unsweetened almond milk?’

Sweetened OR unsweetened almond milk? These people speak my language. I mean, the other day I was in the grocery store and there was only sweetened almond milk on the shelf. I found an employee of the store and I asked him if he would go check out back for the unsweetened version, because why drink double the calories when you don’t need to? Yep, I actually said exactly that.  Being offered a choice between the two in a cafe had never happened to me up until this day. I was seriously impressed.

Back at our seats, I sipped at my unsweetened almond milk latte and waited as patiently as I could for my plate of waffles.  And THEN there were waffles. Paleo Chestnut and Almond Waffles to be exact. WITH chia strawberry jam, coconut yoghurt, and strawberries. Yuuummmmm! And they were seriously YUM. We both devoured our plates with not a crumb left, yet we didn’t have that awful ‘I’ve eaten too much and should have stopped 3 mouthfuls ago’ uncomfortable feeling. That’s the joy of clean eating!

We settled our bill, and as we left I made a mental note to return for the acai bowl and baked corn fritters.

Went in for lunch yesterday after not having been for a while. The menu has changed, even though it's still good, this time was a bit blander than before. Something has definitely changed in the goodness bowl, it was previously my favourite but now only one of the salads stood out. Overall portion sizes are generous and reasonably priced when it comes to salads but the added protein portions are really small. Still a good option for a guilt free, healthy meal.

Fresh, local, healthy, organic, raw, cold pressed, gluten free, super foods… If you are into all this jazz, I found a perfect place for you, The Good Life Eatery!

It’s located just off King’s Road. So tiny, that it’s very easy to pass it without noticing its deliciousness in the window display! Inside there’s just a couple of tables, and people do look a bit squeezed…no reservations either… The queue sometimes looks horrendously long but most of the clients order take away.

The interior décor…kind of the same as in every second restaurant that opens nowadays – natural, raw look, with some industrial touches, wooden tables, used looking chairs, brick walls…

The food is good but only is you’re after something light and healthy. The dishes I went for were very simple, and a bit boring but it actually tasted incredibly well. All thanks to the freshness and high quality of the ingredients.

Berry Sunrise (blackberry, blueberry, banana, almond milk, raw almonds – £6)…quite expensive for the smoothie but it’s quite a big size and really really tasty. It has good consistency – not too thick and not too watery, the dominating flavour is definitely berries and almonds. Btw. the list of super food smoothies is quite long so you’ll def find something to your taste.

The cold press juice, Lucky 7 (£7, beetroot, green apple, carrot, orange, pineapple, lemon, ginger). It’s good…because all cold press juices are good – but is a small glass worth the price?!

Then we kicked off with our breakfast.

Avocado Chilli Toast on Whole Grain Sunflower Rye (£5.5). So simple and so delicious! The avocado was amazing – super fresh, very moist, and it was a generous portion of it on the toast too.

Then, I went for even simpler dish – Mixed Green Salad (£4, kale and lettuce). It was just so good…mainly thanks to this sauce that greens were coved in, something very similar to the one that’s usually served in caesar salad.

Skinny Royale (£9), the toast with the poached egg and salmon was another delicious choice… Just look at this egg! Everything was excellent on this plate, but why such a small portion?

We were also quite keen on trying the cakes that were displayed in the window… Red velvet cake (£4) and chocolate brownie (£3) totally satisfied us! Both were very rich, sweet, moist, with perfect consistency… very highly recommended!

This is the ideal place for the health freaks! I’d say that simplicity, freshness and high quality of ingredients is what characterises The Good Life Eatery, but then you do have some dishes with the twist. They serve this everyday food that you hardly ever get bored off. If I lived within walking distance to The Good Life Eatery, I would probably stop by it on most of the days.

So delicious, everything was light and healthy. They serve great juices and smoothies as well.

Nice busy atmosphere, friendly and polite staff.

The food was all delicious, everything so fresh and tasty. The salads were all packed with flavour and the prawns in particular were fantastic.

I had a berry smoothie as well which was jam packed with fruity goodness, and thick without being to heavy. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Good value for money to, lunch for two around £22

I would have rated the cafe a 4 had it not been for the dirty teaspoon that was served with my friends coffee. Yuck.

London needs more places like this. Being a bit of a healthy food junkie myself, I'm always looking for places that serves fresh, healthy organic food and The good life eatery provides just that. Finally a conscious healthy place to eat in London, that is also laid-back and cool!

The menu here is amazing, it offers so many choices for the health conscious foodie, lots of salads, cold pressed juices, super smoothies and delicious gluten free and dairy free treats! My favourite was the Raw Rainbow Pad Thai and Goodness bowl. It's tough that you can't book a table, but that just adds to the relaxed vibe of the place. The staff are friendly and it's all over the counter service, which means no splitting bills at the end! Very happy with my experience here and would definitely recommend to anyone.

On a sunshine filled Friday afternoon off work, I wandered down to The Good Life Eatery, a cafe opened a few months ago in, where else? Kensington. The window is stacked with an array of mouth-watering ‘healthy’ cakes and the inside is very LA-cool (or what I imagine to be LA-cool. I’ve never actually been). The tabletops and benches are made from reclaimed scaffolding, there is a palm tree in the corner and a vibrant painting hung on a bare brick wall. The lunch menu, scribbled on blackboards, is a mixture of salads and smaller plates, such as avocado chili toast and sweet potato with dukkah dip. It is unlike anything I have come across so far in London, and is clearly fulfilling a gap in the market as it was heaving throughout my hour-long lunch. It was only half way through that I realised all, as in every single one, of the diners was female. Any straight men looking to find a health conscious partner, take note and pack your best quinoa jokes.

Once I had ordered I took a pew and picked up my new book (the very funny, sweet but not saccharine, The Rosie Project). I started with something I had been wanting to try for a while – a matcha almond latte. Matcha is a very finally ground green tea from Japan, packed with antioxidants, which through some scientific trickery I don’t quite understand, delivers a steadier burst of caffeine than coffee. The latte was made with almond milk, the creamy nutty taste of which nicely balances out the tang of the matcha, and turns its bright green hue into a more palatable mint colour. It is an acquired taste, but I love it.

I then had their Goodness Bowl – small portions of quinoa with red kidney beans and kale, avocado, broccoli, winter slaw, pickled carrots and wakame with ginger soy dressing. Just as it said – a big bowl of goodness! And it was all surprisingly delicious. I have had enough unripe avocado (Pure Goodge Street I am looking at you) to appreciate it when it is perfectly ripe, and the sprinkled seasame seeds picked up the Asian flavours from the slaw and wakame. The warm miso prawn salad on another person’s table also looked excellent, and their range of cold pressed juices was very impressive. Annoyingly it’s so much easier to wax lyrical about naughty foods, but it was all bloody tasty, and I left feeling energerised rather than hunting for the nearest squishy surface to slump on.

(Edit: I went back this weekend and had their skinny eggs Benedict which were wonderful – light yoghurt dressing on perfectly poached eggs, creamy avocado, ripe tomatoes and whole grain toast. Their coconut cake was also excellent)

I finished off with a little pot of not-quite-dairy-free-but-who-really-cares peanut butter cups (edit: the chocolate is vegan so they are actually dairy free. Win), and, as the sunshine was pouring from the sky, took them with me for a wander. I ended up at the Natural History Museum, which I really don’t visit often enough. I think the Central Hall in the Romanesque Waterhouse Building is one of the nicest spaces in London (alongside the British Museum’s Great Court) – it was part of Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films and contains an incredible dinosaur skeleton, all presided over by a statue of Charles Darwin. I also visited the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibtion (on until the 23rd March – hurry)which had some incredibly vivid and creative images on display, thankfully none of which were of snakes.

Really nice healthy eating café in Chelsea with plenty of vegetarian/vegan and gluten-free options. Really fresh ingredients and high quality ingredients and tasty sauces. Well worth the price over salads from other chains (Pret etc). On this visit we had a Good Life Salad (£11.75) and a Chicken Man Bowl. Both were delicious. The Kale in the Good Life Salad was the tastiest crispiest fresh kale I’ve tasted. My husband had a delicious coffee and I had one of their fresh juice The Lucky 7 which is beetroot based and super-tasty. The venue is good and more seating than the Marylebone branch (and lighter and brighter) and wasn’t too busy when we visited mid-afternoon on a Monday. There is also some seating outside on the pavement of Sloane Avenue. Really like their menu and as a healthy eating vegetarian this is one of my favourite lunch places in London. Only disappointment was the brownie which was nice tasting but very dry. It had clearly been cooked too long/or been on the shelf for too long. I spoke to the staff and it was noted re the quality and they gave us a refund as the other one they had was similar.

Amazing place to go to. Especially the staff they are very attentive and friendly. The food is filling. I recommend the Dal-Wood with jerk chicken and Quinoa but you can also choose brown rice if you don't fancy Quinoa, this also comes as a Vegan alternative and you can get sweet potatoes with it rather than the Jerk Chicken. Another recommendation you can have it the Man-Bowl with teriyaki salmon.
