Very busy when we were there. Staff were excellent friendly very flexible. Food was very nice, a but pricey but then so is everywhere in London and the food was nice. Usual good selection of beers and wine. We ate outside in a nice flowery courtyard, grwat ambience definitely worth the walk from Highgate.

One of the Best pubs we've been to. It was very busy (Sunday lunchtime) but it was well staffed and they were all so friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and I enjoyed trying some new dishes. Thank you. We'll be back!

After travelling all the way from Wakefield and not knowing where we were driving to, my wonderful partner surprised me by taking me to George Michael’s house and shrine. I have been a massive fan for over 30 years and I was completely overwhelmed and so happy to be there. We then sat in the beer garden overlooking his house and enjoyed a few drinks, still in shock as to where we were! The Flask is such a lovely, old, comfortable pub and with fireworks going off all around it was quite magical. We will definitely be making the journey again next year. Thank you 😊

Really lovely old fashioned pub with lots of nooks and crannies. The cod and chips were delicious. Chips looked homemade and the batter was yum. Mushroom and lentil soup was great as well a little salty due to the pancetta. Downside was no highchair...

Happy to be back. Just moved back to the area after 10 years in Oz and happy to find The Flask is still undoubtedly one of the most beautiful pubs I've been to. Will get back into the ale soon I hope but good range of cold beers too and the food is superb. Game terrine & beef & kidney pudding - that's why I came back!

This is a welcoming pub located on the top of Highgate Village , just across from the Pond. The place smells of extraordinary food and the mulled wine. Portions here are served large, but it's not sloppy. This is a fine-food put

The Flask is perhaps my favourite pub in London with its great history, design and rural ambiance. So on the 15th of June, I took my dad and mum to The Flask for a Father's Day dinner. Dating back to 1663, The Flask was the regular drinking place for the likes of Samuel Taylor Coleridge and William Hogarth. Being an history affectionato, I knew my dad would appreciate this pub too.
We grabbed a couple drinks at the bar while waiting for our table (reservations can be made online).
The menu is printed daily and we chose the burger, cod and chips, and rib eye while enjoy the view from our window table. Fresh bread and oil were brought to our table with the water while we waited on the meal. And finally the food arrived and we dove in. It was all delicious and everyone enjoyed themselves.
After our meal, we ordered a couple teas and coffees while perusing the dessert menu.  Mum and dad shared a sticky toffee pudding and I got a refreshing scoop of mango sorbet.
And even if its not a celebratory occasion, you should visit The Flask in Highgate for a drink and/or meal with a friend or two.

The whole of Hampstead village makes you feel you are in English countryside and these pretty outside pubs just make Sundays more awesome.

The Flask is a beautiful 15th century village inn with plenty of seating inside and outside. However, don't be fooled by that, Sundays are their busiest days and they often stop the table service for people sitting outside. I have often stood in the queue to order food. But that never stops me from going there.

They have a well-stuffed bar with ample choices in beer and wine and other drinks. I definitely have a glass or two of Pinot Noir at a brunch here.

Their food is proper British pub food and although the menu is limited, the quality is great. Be it fish and chips, pork chop, or balsamic duck liver, they know how to make it well.

It's a perfect place to spend your afternoon on a sunny day. Bring your dog too, it's allowed here.

Wet autumnal Sunday and a stiff climb up Fitzroy Park from the Heath, a near perfect resting post. Well kept Fuller’s and guest ales, they’ve even started doing bar snacks again for those not wanting a £25 roast dinner. Okay it’s well posh and a bit unfriendly, but that’s posh people for you! #11 #28

Lovely pub in Highgate, beware to make reservations because it can get very busy! However the customer service is very good and they'll always try to accommodate you. We went on a rainy Saturday afternoon and it was very packed inside, but they had a lovely covered outdoors area. Good selection of beverages and food. Will be back!

Managed to get a table on a bank holiday and the process of booking was painless through their website. There is the normal 5 pound fee that will be charged for no shows. Easy to get to from the Highgate station but fortunately a short walk for us as we live near by. The setting inside is very cosy, we were lucky to have a table next to the fireplace. It is also a surprisingly large pub. Service was good, just a little slow, the waiter did tell us they were under staffed so that considered it was not a bad experience. They were friendly and tentative. The food was fresh, well presented and tasty. I started with the chicken liver pate and it was one of the best I've had. The Crab on toast also looked delicious. The mains was the Beef blade that was very tender. At our table was the Mac and cheese, Rib eye and fish and chips as well. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Prices were inline with other pubs and acceptable. Look to spend at least 50 pounds a head. Other than wait times and limited gluten free options on the menu it was an overall great experience. We will return for sure.

You'll pay a premium for eating/drinking here, but if the alternative is losing glorious pubs like this and all their history, I'm happy to pay it. Beautiful big garden for warmer weather, and lots of nooks and crannies inside for when it's colder. It's a Fullers pub, so not the greatest selection of beers, but still good!

A wonderful pub in Highgate, we visited for a Boxing Day lunch, so of course it was very busy, but the staff were super attentive and our orders were taken quickly. The roast dinner here was superb and we can also highly recommend the bloody mary's.

Me and two friends came for a Sunday roast at the flask who kindly took us upon a walk in. JJ and Louis took extremely good care of us ensuring we had everything we needed to take care of a member of the group who was experiencing a roast at an English pub for the first time:). Both boys were extremely kind and accompanying, ensuring the warm and charismatic atmosphere. Roast potatoes were gorgeous and plentiful also:) 10/10 would come again

A beautiful pub - both inside and out, with various covered areas in the courtyard. Interesting menu and bar snacks, although cannot comment on the food this visit. Very popular - definitely worth booking in advance, particularly at weekends. Friendly and efficient staff.
