Will miss this place as moving out of the area! We have had consistently delicious food here and have been coming at least weekly since they moved to Dalston Lane. The food is always excellent value for money, packed full of flavour and generous portions. Bea is always very accomodating when we request different specifications to the menu. She is also always friendly and welcoming, as is the space in general. The eclectic mix of music played there adds to the chilled out ambience and my 4 year old son loves hanging out here just for this, although he does love the food too. Current favourite - the new to the menu pork sandwich with a tasty slaw! Thanks Bea, good luck! x

We came for dinner tonight and we absolutely loved it. We tried the Zarza, the beetroot risotto and the Moroccan plate as main dishes. Then we had some juices (every one of them so frigging good!) and an amazing dessert (vanilla ice cream, brownie and something made with croissant). The food, the homey feeling, and the staff were perfect. We'll definitely come back again! :D

One of my top Hackney coffee shops. Spanish owners so their food has that beautiful Spanish twist. I want their chorizo on everything! šŸ˜ƒā¤ļø

Really great place to set up a laptop and have yummy brunch. I tried the goat cheese salad and it was the perfect size portion and really nice mix of ingredients. Staff were very friendly.

Lovely food, very good coffee and friendly staff. Usually not too crowded, the cafe is dog friendly and offers some gluten free options.

Amazing Spanish hot breakfasts, nice coffee, friendly service. If you don't fancy going for a Full English, good selection of breakfast pastries or a ham and cheese croissant for Ā£3.50.

My favourite place for coffee and breakfast in Dalston. I come at least once a week for a full English (with a Spanish twist - some nice herbs etc). It's like an oasis of calm. Service is excellent (Scottish barista guy and the lovely - Spanish? - woman who seems to be in charge). I feel like this place is a secret and in writing this review the place might be spoilt as more people will start crowding it (I love how quiet it is - and they play good music). Sandwiches are also good.

Amazing food, fresh and inventive and very reasonably priced given the quality. The owner and chef is Spanish and some of their specialties have a Spanish flair. There's a take on traditional (like salt cod, saffron and bean stew), others unusual (spiced beetroot, polenta and turmeric pickled egg)and good strong coffee too. I really like it for dinner as the menu is healthy but full of flavour. Go, you'll enjoy it!

One of the best breakfasts Iā€™ve ever had! The full English breakfast was fresh and made with such nice meats. It was the perfect mix of all thatā€™s great about a fry up and elevated to higher levels in all the right ways.

Very nice cafƩ. Their espresso was a single origin Columbian. The staff were really friendly and the atmosphere was really nice. I was able to get a seat on a Saturday morning, which is good for a nice Dalston cafƩ. I'd have preferred more salad choices, rather than everything on sourdough, but it's a minor comment. I'd happily go back.

Coffee was nice, great little cafe and banana bread was delicious. I wasnā€™t particularly impressed by the club sandwich it was soggy and just didnā€™t taste that great. If youā€™re going there for coffee and cake though Iā€™d recommend.

Best french toast I've had in Dalston. Good prices and a really relaxed atmosphere. It also has really good music that isn't just blasting bass like some hipster places moving in to the neighbourhood.

An unassuming place that serves the best breakfast in the neighborhood! Happened to stumble across this place and am so glad I did - amazing breakfast and fairly easy to get a seat. Lovely owners and staff as well.

Honestly this is our favourite cafe in Dalston. Peaceful, seriously amazing food and decent coffee. Top it off we can always turn up with our baby buggy and relax here over lunch. Bravo, long may it continue :)

I came in here for a coffee and some lunch. I ordered a very nice barley and spinach soup that was served with sour dough toast. I also had an amazingly good coffee cheesecake. Surprisingly, though, the coffee was only average, the low point for me.
