Went here for brunch with bottomless bellini's and brunch for a birthday treat for a friend. Great service! Really lovely and friendly staff and great food and cocktails. Highly recommend!
Amazingggg food and the best service i have had in ages... never a dry glass of water or bellini :) highly recommend for a quieter part of london brunch
Had such a lovely time celebrating my friends birthday/Bon voyage. Such hospital staff; at your service at all times. Everything runs very slick and you leave feeling very spoilt. And of course the food, how can I forget the food! All freshly prepared and each course came very quickly! The bottomless drinks just kept coming too! Thank you. Will definitely return to your most decadent and bespoke venue.
We had the bottomless Bellini brunch yesterday, it was Amazing! The setting is beautiful, the food was great and our waitress Olga was so attentive! Loved it!! Rachael Goddard
I visited yesterday with 3 of my friends, it wasn't my first visit, but they had never been before. We booked in for brunch at 12.30 and were served by a wonderfully attentive man (name on the receipt is Danilo) he really looked after our table and made us feel very special, bringing top ups promptly and without being asked! As always the food was gorgeous, the venue is beautiful and prices are very very reasonable! Thank you for making our brunch wonderful, we can't wait to come back again!
Fantastic place! Amazing brunch! Loved my cocktail Gin & Juice. Will definitely come back
Amazing ladies brunch... bottomless bloody mary, and they are too good!! Fantastic food, and lovely staff.
Amazing food, lovely service x very special place to celebrate our Daughters birthday with brunch. Highly recommended.Thank You.
I had been waiting to visit Bourne and Hollingsworth (also known as the B&H buildings) for months – you generally have to be quick on the ball at the weekends and book a few weeks in advance. Finally, I made it on a Saturday at 14.15 (albeit with a red face as it is quite far from all tube stations!) I obviously opted for the bottomless brunch – bring on the bellini’s. There was also the option of bottomless Bloody Mary or another tequilla based cocktail (no thank you!). We managed to have four bellini’s in a 1.5 hour slot but I am sure some people could squeeze in more!
The lovely decor made up for the inattentive staff. Food was good, I tried the risotto which was very rich and creamy! It seems as though this place is much more popular for brunch in comparison to dinner service. However the sourdough bread basket was so yum!
Boozy brunch done right! Bourne & Hollingsworth makes a mean Bloody Mary, and the group breakfast is a great deal. My group of 11 enjoyed a hearty and tasty breakfast...scrambled eggs that were fluffy, sausages that were meaty and loads of fresh veg options.
A great value for a large group!
This place is great. Food, staff and DRINKs were everything i needed after a long nightmare day.
I'll be back for more soon.
If there is a better way to start the day than with a sleep in followed by a Bourne and Hollingsworth Buildings’ brunch, then I want to hear about it because it must be pretty fantastic. One of my favourite meals, there is just something about it that makes it always so satisfying. Sometimes, it’s that sensation of finally getting some food after your body has come to realise you’ve missed breakfast. Or it maybe that rationalisation that you can binge on whatever guilt free because you’re eating for 2 meals. Or…you could just be impossibly hungover and need some substance to nurse that headache (we’ve all been there).

Whatever your reason, brunch is key and when it comes to brunch, I can't speak highly enough of Bourne and Hollingsworth Buildings (B&H).
Situated just off buzzing Exmouth Market in the heart of Clerkenwell, B&H is a self described "...modern all-day brasserie and bar..." with a modern European menu to match. Deciding on a dish is no easy task but when friendly staff are willing to offer their favourites, I've long learned it's wise to take them and so orders of the crispy potato hash and huevos benedictos were placed.
The huevos benedictos as suggested by the name is a Spanish play on your traditional eggs benedict. Poached eggs, chorizo, avocado grace the top of English muffins before being topped with bearnaise sauce and tangy pico de gallo. The dish is hearty yet surprisingly not as heavy as an eggs benedict which I found rather surprising and enjoyable because it meant I could indulge in the potato hash - and boy did I.
Along with your choice of a poached hens egg or a fried duck egg, the hash is ordered with 3 choices of toppings:
- braised beef, HP hollandaise and crispy shallots;
- salmon and hollandaise; or
- curries cauliflower and broccoli.
However, for me there as always only going to be one; braised beef please and with a fried duck egg thank you.
When the dish arrived, my eyes lit up - if you've ever had that feeling of getting exactly what you wanted, you'd understand. In that moment, those cubes of deep fried potato topped with a generous amount of braised beef, a fried duck egg and a good lathering of rich HP hollandaise before being finished off by crispy shallots were all a hungry boy could ever ask for and to say they were satisfying is an understatement. If you hadn't gathered by now, yea I liked this.
So at a time now when brunch is a plenty in our city, I rate B&H as being right up there and worthy of a visit. Ask for a seat in the conservatory, sit down with some bottomless blinis and watch the day pass you by.

This place has a fantastic old school feel and the interior decoration is commendable. It's beautiful. Since I'm a local, this is one of my favourite places to grab a cocktail. The menu changes every few months depending on what the bar tenders feel like making. The drinks are creative and well presented.
In my quest for bottomless brunches I visited B&H buildings a few weeks ago. Located in Clerkenwell, hidden right by City university is this gorgeous brunch place. In terms of interior this tops any I’ve been to so far – bright and gardeny. There seemed to be many hen do’s and celebrations going on all over the place. Quite formal for a weekend but in a nice way.
After admitting to our addictions it was time hold the first ever ‘Blog Addicts Anonymous’ support group hosted rather appropriately at brunch, bloggers’ favourite meal time. The highly photogenic Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings was the chosen venue (thank you Emma) and we sat in a circle around the table excited by the forth coming Instagram potential of coffee foam art, smashed avocado and #eggporn.
I don’t always base my brunch choices on the interior of a restaurant, but when I do, it’s Bourne and Hollingsworth. Joking aside, I will openly admit that I chose to visit Bourne and Hollingsworth for their interior design. A bright, spacious restaurant filled with greenery and marble…it’s a bloggers dream! However it would seem that bloggers are not their only fans, as their table booking system made evident. This is one London establishment where you won’t get a seat without a reservation. However a few weeks after I originally gave up trying to get a table, something amazing happened. The site refreshed itself, and there it was, a table for 2 at 11:45 on a Saturday. I grabbed it!
Ever heard of B&H Buildings? Nope? Well neither had I until not too long ago. If there was ever a hidden brunch spot in London – it has to be this place. The restaurant is completely hidden away down a quiet, uninspiring residential area off the busy Farringdon Road. When a restaurants excuse is because they’re in a bad location, I ask you to simply look at this place as a business model – it was thriving and not a spare seat was in sight. One thing that did strike me about this place however and quite surprisingly, is that it was full of almost entirely females, glamorously dressed up – I suddenly felt very under-dressed. On top of my lack of suitable clothing, my camera decided to fail on me too – so excuse my lack of quality photos.
Having recently had some slightly disappointing brunch experiences, Bourne & Hollingsworth were a refreshing antidote to my typical experience of trendier-than-thou Sunday brunches. Great food, reasonable prices, funky decor and wonderful, friendly & attentive service from our very busy waiter Vicky. One of the best brunch experiences I've had. I will be back on a day when I can try the French toast and bottomless cocktails
If you’re a regular reader of my blog (if not, you should be!) then you must have read my dinner review of Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings. It has become one of my favourites- not only is it a gem tucked away in Clerkenwell, the interior is a complete opposite of what you see from the outside, the staff is super friendly, the food absolutely delis and a fantastic tropical ambience.
They’ve gone even further and introduced their brunch menu. Wohoo! It was only two of us and we were starving- as always. We made our way inside, and it was full of groups and couples enjoying the food. You wouldn’t be able to tell from the outside as it was really quiet. We sat down and ordered a few drinks. They also do the bottomless drinks- you know what that means! Time to get draaaank- at 1PM in the afternoon…
We went a little crazy and ordered food for four people when it was only two of us. I ordered the B&H breakfast with a choice of 3 items- can never resist bubble and squeak and was tempted to try the ‘homemade’ baked beans.
We wanted to try some other vegetarian options so ordered the curried cauliflower and broccoli with poached hen’s eggs. I think of the four dishes we ordered, this one was our least favourite. It needed more oomph- just didn’t hit the spot! Reminded me of the ‘mix sabzi’ (sabzi=vegetable) I make some times but with more flavour and even more spice! :D
My friend loves her eggs royale so we ordered those too- why not?! Who’s counting anyway? The thick dollop of hollandaise sauce on top of those perfectly poached eggs looked heavenly. She wiped her plate clean!
And the unexpected star of the brunch!? French toasts with caramelised bananas and mixed nuts. B&H Buildings- one thing you do: NEVER TAKE THESE OFF YOUR MENU!! Or change the way you cook them, for that matter. I am more of a savoury person than sweet and would hardly ever order something sweet for breakfast but these french toasts were everything. The whole combination of the brioche bread, caramelised bananas and the crunch of those toasted nuts…mmmm!! Even thinking about them is making me salivate haha!
So yeah! if you’re looking for one place to take your girls, guy brunch, your mum or even your whole family?! This is the place! :)

The food menu, printed daily complete with weather forecast which was a nice touch, was a great mix of sweet and savoury, meaning it took me a while to finally commit to a dish. As good as my usual favourite, the Eggs Royale looked, I decided to try something different and opted for the Crispy Potato Hash (£9), which can be served three ways and with a choice of poached hen’s egg or fried duck’s egg.
The Vibe
The Bourne & Hollingsworth Group are a creative bunch. When I first moved to London, one of my first finds was their Prohibition themed bar in Fitzrovia. They were busy serving up Gin cocktails in a tiny dive bar space bedecked in chintzy wallpaper that wouldn’t look out of place at your grandparents’ and tunes would bang out until the wee hours from a DJ station atop an ironing board. Next came the famous and very fun Blitz and Prohibition parties. Now Bourne & Hollingsworth Group have turned their hand to an all-day brasserie and bar just off Farringdon Road in a very up and coming area; ahead of the curve as usual. The vibe is boozy, botanical and post-colonial chic – the elegant bar is stocked up with just about every libation known to man, propped up with intellectual types (is that a copy of The Great Gatsby in that man’s back pocket? Yes, I do believe it is). Branches, vines, plants and leaves hang, twist and gild around the two rooms; the parlour at the front with the sprawling bar and relaxed lounge with its mismatched vintage furniture and the restaurant room at the back; a charming conservatory with some plush velvet banquettes and a selection of garden tables and chairs. The English Garden doggone went and got its hair did.
The Order
We began the evening with a cocktail apiece. Please note that this man generally does not ‘do’ cocktails. For him, the ‘West Indian Gimlet’, consisting of ultra- manly (it was the only way I could get him to try it) Navy Strength Gin, Steve’s Falernum #7 (whatever that is – who cares? It’s delicious), fresh lime juice & House Bitters served in the most beautiful antique glass. He loved it. For me, a very ladylike ‘Cider Rose’, which was Apple & Blackberry shrub stirred with Somerset Cider Brandy, topped with Fizz and it came served with a large rose petal in the flute. Classy.
We ate a pleasing meal here with some lovely flourishes of excellence. Scallops with parsnip puree and hazelnut gravy was light and tasty and the pork belly on sweet potato puree and plantain fritters satiated my guy’s desire for a flavoursome and full meal. Desserts were yummy; caramel fondant perfectly oozy and his lime and olive cheesecake thrillingly umami. I’ve been telling EVERYONE I know about that cheesecake.
The Game
Arrive early and try to nab one of the banquettes otherwise one or both of you is in for a slightly sore bottom on the garden furniture. Order a cocktail. Cue: mood lights. Oh yes, the lights are dimmed and romance is ushered in. Decide on your wine (nice wine list). Peruse the cheeky little menu and see what you fancy. Hopefully, conversation is in full flow by the time your meal arrives and you can play a flirty game over the dessert and coffee or shall we have another drink conundrum. Dessert is recommended as is having a night cap. Perch on the comfy bar stools and choose something to suit your mood. Whisper in each other’s ear. Get a cab on order…
A great spot for an early evening bite to eat or a perfect luncheon on a cold, bright weekend day. Alternatively, just the location for a few cocktails before or after having a wander around Exmouth Market.
The Faults
It’s a little hidden away. Then again, we all like to find something that others don’t know about.
Sex Factor – 3. When spring returns, this little lady will be blushing beautifully in all the right places but until then, hot toddies all round.
We journeyed to Northampton Road for the launch of Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings, a new all-day brasserie and bar venture from, you guessed it, Bourne & Hollingsworth (best known for their bonkers kitsch bar in Fitzrovia).
They have converted the same space that they used last summer for the excellent Kitchen Party series (Extreme Garnishing was a highlight), and they have upped their game on décor. It feels like a stately home where the plantlife has been allowed to run riot, particularly in the stunning greenhouse room next to the main dining area. There is also a good-looking bar, a cosy café area and a private dining room for 14 people.
We were on cocktails and canapés for the evening, with miniature versions of Head Chef Alex Visciano's brasserie food making their way around. The full food menu is enticing though prices look a little steep at a glance. These caught my eye:
Rabbit & Hazelnut Terrine, Pickled Apple Slaw, Toast - £7
Lamb Cannon, minted crust, ratatouille-stuffed courgette flower - £20
Lime & Verdi Bella Olive Cheese Cake - £5
The cocktails were a great success. We started with Port Flower Stinger (white port shaken with mint and elderflower - £8) and Cider Rose (apple and blackberry shrub stirred with Somerset Cider Brandy topped with fizz - £9) - both elegantly presented and shaken.
Eton Fizz (gin with muddle strawberries, lemon juice, honey, Greek yoghurt and egg white, shaken hard and topped with soda - £8,50) went down very easily, but the most popular drink of the night was Tequila Ginger Cucumber - Tequila and a touch of Mezcal (can't go wrong), mixed with lemon, cucumber, jasmine green tea syrup, and Cardamom bitters, topped with ginger ale for £8. Dangerously drinkable and moreish - we got through quite a few of these and I'd return for more. Old Willy Bourne (blended scotch with sweet vermouth, benedictine, house bitters and a touch of Islay Malt Whisky, finished with a hint of anise - £9) is still on the to-drink list.
The bartenders were on their game all night, as were the floor staff (most of whom seemed to be actors) and the punters all seemed relaxed and content.
Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings is a touch of class on an otherwise run-down street. Don't expect to leave before closing time.
This latest venture from Bourne and Hollingworth is a chilled and relaxed nightspot away from the main street. It is the perfect place to grab some refined food and easy drinks.
Try and get there are little early so you can grab one of the flowery chairs in the sunny and leafy indoor/outdoor area at the back.
What a stunning place! An absolute must do when in London. The food is out-of-this-world and the aesthetic is amazing. It's like sitting inside a a cottage greenhouse/orangery.
It is the perfect place for celebrating with friends and family. While we were there, there were birthday celebrations and baby showers. It has such a nice atmosphere.
We had the classic brunch at £32 per person. This came with a drink (soft drink, cocktail or hot), a main course like eggs Benedict (Spanish style), salt beef hash or an English breakfast. Then there is a desert type breakfast dish like maple bacon pancakes or french toast.
Everything is delicious!!!
Enjoyed a lovely bottomless brunch with friends for my birthday - really reasonable priced for London, two courses and bottomless drinks, attentive service meaning we were never waiting too long for a top up!
I had the Mexican take on eggs Benedict and the pancakes, both of which were great.
Drinks options could have been more varied but overall we had a brilliant time. The main selling point is definitely the building itself, stunning interior and a really laid back but bustling atmosphere.
Lovely brunch with friends. The food and service is really good. The decor is interesting and vintage. They have a special 2 course brunch including either a cocktail or 2 soft drinks for £30 which is a good deal. It was a little bit loud at times but overall we really enjoyed it.
Fantastic gem worth visiting!! The atmosphere food and service were absolutely amazing! We celebrated my friends hen night there it was few of us so we were sitted in beautiful rustic covered in pots and plants room full of light which gave cosy but elegant feeling! We had bottomless brunch and boy those mimosas were delicious and coming fast!! If you ever in that area it is a must visit! Your better book before as it was packed on sat brunch time!
Been here for work drinks a few times. The decor is stunning and very classy.
It'd be a great venue for a special occasion, engagement party or something like that.
Easy to snap some great photos here!
Gorgeous interior, however I found the food average. The crab roll was nothing special, and the pancakes were nice, however a little dry. I had the caramel pancakes, and although I expected them to be sweet, I believe they would have benefitted from something such as cream to cut the sweetness a little.
The service was good, the waiters/waitress had a very kind demeanour.
We went for bottomless brunch, service was really good - beware the spritz is not an aperol spritz it's a house creation - still yummy tho.
The only thing we didn't like was being rushed out after we'd finished - we kept being warned that they'd need the table back even though the restaurant was basically empty and we might have stayed for coffees etc.
Amazing experience. Came here for a hen do - couldn't fault it. Sarah was so so lovely & great at the top ups. Food was impressive (lots and v tasty) and Sarah & team were super attentive and patient with our large group. Highly recommend
Overall had a great time, thought the brunch was fantastic, service was quick and the drinks kept coming!
Atmosphere: Cool surroundings they have some great tables some would be awesome in summer, lots of plants and a very west London vibe. Wasn’t overly busy, music was a good volume to socialise, we were given time to enjoy our selves and enjoy the bottomless cocktails 🥂
Food: Chorizo Benedict is a revelation, the peppery’ness of the chorizo with the hollandaise was extremelyy tasty. The sweets, we had blueberry pancakes and the bacon and maple were both a great way to finish off the brunch.
Service: quick to refill drinks, food came out at good times, enough time for chatting between and a few Bellinis the girl was super nice
Price, £45 for 2 courses and bottleless drinks. We managed 6 Bellinis , thought the price was good and worth it for the experience, drinks and the great food.
Would recommend!
What a great place! I hosted my birthday party here in one of the private dining spaces. The communication in the run up to the event was fantastic from Benjamin. Nick the host was also really accommodating when we had to change the time on the day, which was much appreciated.
But the star of the show was the amazing Claudia, our waitress, who expertly managed our party of 16 and made sure everyone had a fab time and that drinks were always topped up! A really fantastic job from the whole team. I would highly recommend this place and we will certainly be back!
Great bottomless brunch - poached eggs were perfect, bellinis mostly kept topped up regularly. Very hot in the summer but liked the atmosphere.
My favourite brunch in London! Promise these are the best pancakes I’ve ever had in the UK 🥞❤️I totally recommend the CLASSIC B&H brunch that costs £29.50, where you get A Brunch cocktail (or soft drinks) & two dishes 🍽 100% go for the pancakes as second dish, the Fresh blueberry sauce and whipped cream is my favourite 😍

Fantastic place !! We managed to get a table Friday for Saturday by chance. The decor of the place is lovely, full of plants and with vintage/chic furniture. I highly recommend the bottomless brunch, the drinks (amazing Bloody Marys !) kept coming, you don't even need to ask for them. Food was also awesome, 2 courses (big portions) that leave you completely full. A hot drink is included which is really nice to finish the brunch. I highly recommend this place !
Great value brunch on the weekend. 2 courses + cocktail deal is pretty good. Cocktails in the deal maybe not to everyone’s taste but they have other options.
Food was pretty tasty! No complaints!
Venue itself is really photogenic and pretty and seems like it would be a great place for a group brunch.
Took my bestie for lunch here on her bday, it was so cute. Food is amazing, bottomless brunch totally worth it. I asked the team to bring a candle to the table with the dessert and the entire team started singing happy birthdaaaaaay - magical
Excellent place for catching up with friends over brunch! Bottomless drinks are a touch of genius and food is on point also. Presentation can be hit and miss though...
Beautiful interior and environment!
Book the atrium area for more intimate birthdays and baby showers and sit at the bar if it’s just you and a friend.
The staff are fab and the brunch menu is good value for money but what let’s this place down is the food, it’s distinctly average, which is a real shame because it’s gorgeous!
